Chapter 3: Yi Xian’er
Yi Xian’er was one of the only two Pill Masters in Green Water Town. However, she was more proficient in poison-making than pill-refining, a true master of toxins.
Therefore, despite inheriting her mother’s medical clinic, few sought her healing. Despite her beauty, few suitors dared court her. Despite her impressive skills, few admired her.
All because she wielded poison.
But this suited her perfectly. She possessed a “Natural Yin Body,” her Mystic Power imbued with a corrosive Yin energy that could erode all life. Getting too close to others would only harm them.
Furthermore, her Natural Yin Body also brought a solitary fate. Those close to her would suffer misfortune.
Since her mother’s death, she had lived a solitary life, until this day.
Emerging from the VIP room of the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, she was targeted by a handsome young man she had never met before.
He had somehow sensed the Extreme Flame aura within her, following her home with ill intentions.
She had, of course, noticed him, pretending to be unaware until she reached her house, closing the door and releasing her poison.
To her shock, her usually potent toxins had no effect on him. Enraged, she attacked, only to be overpowered and captured. He threatened and bribed her, demanding information about the Extreme Flame.
She, however, possessed an unyielding spirit, refusing to cooperate. The scoundrel then took matters into his own hands, groping her, searching her body, and confiscating all items carrying traces of the Extreme Flame aura.
She gritted her teeth, enduring the humiliation, offering no resistance.
She was a “Yin Body,” her body constantly emitting Yin energy. Unless someone possessed the strength of a Mystic King or above, having touched upon Heavenly Power, anyone who touched her would suffer misfortune!
Only after he finished did she retaliate.
“You lecher! You touched me! Your hands will rot! You’ll be a cripple!”
However, the shameless youth simply shrugged.
“It’s just a bit of Yin energy. Who are you trying to scare?”
“Y-you’re not afraid of my Yin energy?”
“It’s nothing.”
He smirked, his hands igniting with gold and silver flames, effortlessly purging the lingering Yin energy.
The Gold and Silver Fire, pure Yang energy, was unfazed by Yin energy.
In other words, she had been groped for nothing.
Furious and humiliated, she attacked, but he had already obtained what he wanted, fleeing like a greased pig, leaving behind a pile of Crystal Coins.
She nearly burst into tears.
A month later, the little bastard reappeared. He approached her with a cheeky grin, inviting her to explore the Demon Dragon Mountain Range with him.
Explore with him?!
If she hadn’t been weaker than him, if her poison and Yin energy had any effect, she would have chopped off his hands, steamed one and braised the other, and fed them to the dogs!
But he persisted, following her relentlessly, offering unsolicited help, meddling in her affairs.
She had assumed he was attracted to her body, taking advantage of his immunity to Yin energy. But it turned out he was after her “Yin Body,” wanting her to guide him through the miasma-infested areas in search of the Extreme Flame.
Miasma was simply a weaker form of Yin energy. She, with her Natural Yin Body, could navigate miasma-filled regions with ease, unaffected by its corrosive nature. She often ventured into these areas to gather rare herbs, making her familiar with the terrain.
She hesitated.
She had always hated her Yin Body.
Every full moon, it would become unstable, requiring her to consume poison to suppress it, fighting fire with fire. If she lost control, the unleashed Yin energy would harm both herself and others.
Her mother’s early death had been caused by her Yin Body.
She had always believed that without this cursed body, her life would have been different. Never had she imagined someone would say they needed her Yin Body…
His sincere, earnest gaze made it impossible to refuse.
“Fine, I’ll help you. But I want compensation. At least this much.”
“Whoa! Why don’t you just rob me?!”
“Take it or leave it. See if anyone else will help you.”
“Tsk, fine, fine, I’ll pay. But I can only give you half now. The other half when we’re done. Deal?”
“That’s more like it.” She happily accepted half the payment, then asked casually, “By the way, what’s your name?”
He smirked. “I’m Yan Zhen. ‘Yan’ as in ‘flame,’ ‘Zhen’ as in ‘pure.’”
“Pure, my ass. You’re wasting a good name.”
“Hmph, you’re called ‘Xian’er,’ but you have no ‘xian’ energy. Just a bunch of Yin energy.”
“Mind your own business!”

They embarked on their quest for the Extreme Flame, facing countless dangers, separating and reuniting.
Until one day, her Yin Body went out of control, nearly killing him. She had no choice but to leave.
Following her mother’s dying wish, she traveled to the Closed Moon Kingdom, a rival nation of the Sunward Kingdom, revealing her lineage as a descendant of the Closed Moon royal family, gaining access to the Land of Death, the Yin Spirit Valley, to embark on a perilous journey of cultivation.
Upon emerging from seclusion, her once black hair had turned silver, her cultivation reaching the Mystic Sovereign realm. She then utilized her newfound power to seize the throne amidst political turmoil, becoming the fearsome “Queen of a Thousand Yins.”
Her Yin Spirit Body made her even more unapproachable, her heart growing colder and more ruthless. She couldn’t face him like this. But fate had other plans.
They met again. He had cultivated the Supreme Yang Body using the Extreme Flame. Their bodies, one pure Yang, the other pure Yin, were incompatible. They shouldn’t be able to touch each other. But he embraced her, breaking down the walls around her heart.
They became close friends once more.
But she had fallen for him.
Even though their bodies were incompatible, unable to conceive children, even though she knew she might never confess her feelings, remaining his soulmate, she loved him.
She abandoned her throne, choosing to stay by his side, searching for a way to unite their opposing energies.
However, by the time she developed the Yin-Yang Unity dual cultivation technique, he had already married, his wives including her best friend and her sworn enemy.
It was too late.
She chose to leave, returning to Green Water Town, the place where they had first met, to live in seclusion.
— That’s how it was supposed to end.
But why? When she opened her eyes, time had rewound, back to the days before they had met.
Was this a chance from heaven to rewrite their story?
Or was it all just a dream?
It didn’t matter.
She only knew that this time, she wouldn’t let him slip away.
From that day forward, she had been waiting, waiting for their fated encounter.
And now, he was finally here.
His handsome, youthful face was deceptive. He might seem harmless, but he was actually quite cunning.
He had even dared to grope her, a respectable young lady, just to obtain information about the Extreme Flame!
