Chapter 13
This… this wasn’t how she’d imagined things would go!
In Bo Chi’s mind, Yu Zhao, upon discovering her fickle heart, should be heartbroken and end their relationship.
However, as Yu Zhao’s grip on her waist tightened and her voice rang out with amusement, Bo Chi realized that not only was Yu Zhao not hurt, but she seemed to be filled with an endless rage, as if she might explode at any moment and teach her an unforgettable lesson.
Bo Chi had to admit,
She was a little scared…
But having come this far, wouldn’t backing down now mean all her efforts were in vain?
Giving up at this point was equivalent to accepting the current… situation with her sister-in-law.
Bo Chi’s morals wouldn’t allow such shamelessness. She straightened her back, her voice trembling as she forced out, “W-Why should I tell you? Who I play around with is my business. It’s none of your concern.”
Silence descended upon the room, the air thick with tension and danger.
Bo Chi froze, not daring to turn around, feeling every hair on her body stand on end. She didn’t even dare to breathe.
The actor opposite her fared even worse. His affectionate expression was gradually replaced by fear. After a moment of hesitation, he took two steps back, forcing a smile. “Since you’re busy with someone else right now, I-I’ll go home and tidy up. I’ll… attend to you properly when you return tonight.”
He truly deserved his 98% approval rating. Despite being scared witless, he still managed to finish his act.
Bo Chi watched him leave, feeling both admiration and resentment—Dude, what am I supposed to do now that you’re gone?!
“Attend to you properly when you return tonight?” The moment the actor left, Yu Zhao slammed the door shut, pinning Bo Chi firmly against it. She gripped Bo Chi’s soft cheek, her eyes suddenly darkening. “How will you be attended to? Can he be better than me?”
Bo Chi blushed, glaring at her and weakly swatting her hand away. “Stop talking nonsense! I’m going home!”
Yu Zhao let out a short, cold laugh. “Home? Your home, or your lover’s home?”
Bo Chi struggled in Yu Zhao’s grip, unable to break free. She gritted her teeth. “What does it have to do with you? What right do you have to question me? Yu Zhao, please recognize your place. You’re just my sister-in-l—”
Before she could finish her hurtful words, Yu Zhao fiercely captured her lips.
The kiss was deep and forceful, unlike the previous gentle and tender one, as if Yu Zhao wanted to devour her whole.
Bo Chi’s lips quickly went numb, a faint stinging sensation following.
Even more alarming was Yu Zhao lifting her skirt, her hand trailing upwards along her smooth skin.
**
Bo Chi didn’t go home that night, spending it instead in Yu Zhao’s room.
The bright lights cast their shadows on the wall, like a shadow puppet show, their whispers and moans lasting half the night.
Only as dawn approached, did Yu Zhao finally bring out the recently purchased toys, sparing Bo Chi’s life.
Bo Chi was too exhausted to move, too tired to feel embarrassed. She nuzzled the blanket, wanting to sleep.
But Yu Zhao wouldn’t let her. She cupped Bo Chi’s face and asked, “Who’s better, me or them?”
Bo Chi mumbled, confused, “Who are ‘them’?”
Yu Zhao’s voice was tinged with jealousy. “Your lovers.”
Bo Chi: “…”
Seeing her speechless, Yu Zhao pinched her slender waist, threatening, “If you don’t answer, I’ll tickle your feet.”
Bo Chi instantly crumbled, wailing, “I don’t have any lovers! How would I know who’s better?!”
Yu Zhao, still bothered despite a night of passion, almost thought she’d misheard. “But that man…”
“He’s an actor,” Bo Chi interrupted listlessly.
Her plan to break up had failed, and she’d been thoroughly… disciplined by the angry Yu Zhao instead.
Bo Chi felt bitter, realizing that her sister-in-law’s attachment wasn’t something she could easily shake off.
Exhausted both physically and mentally, she no longer had the energy to continue the charade. She confessed about the actor, hoping Yu Zhao would drop it and let her sleep.
Yu Zhao did quiet down after learning the man was an actor.
But after a moment, she nudged Bo Chi, her voice strange. “Why did you hire an actor to put on such a show?”
Bo Chi was too sleepy to open her eyes, mumbling incoherently.
Yu Zhao, already having a suspicion and not caring about the mumbled words, stared at Bo Chi’s flushed face, her expression unreadable. “Do you want me to be… more forceful with you? Or do you like this kind of… roleplay?”
Bo Chi didn’t answer, lost in a sweet dream.
Yu Zhao took her silence as agreement, tucking her exposed feet under the covers, her lips curving into a knowing smile. “I understand.”
When she woke up, it was already afternoon. Bo Chi was groggy, still feeling weak and sore as she sat up.
She yawned and grabbed a clean shirt to change into.
The white shirt belonged to Yu Zhao, hanging loosely on her. Because the buttons were carelessly fastened, a slight movement revealed her smooth, round shoulder.
Bo Chi didn’t notice, busy searching for her pants on the bed.
Before she could find them, a hand suddenly squeezed her bare bottom.
Bo Chi jumped, nearly screaming. Turning around, she saw Yu Zhao standing behind her. Breathing a sigh of relief, she snapped, “Pervert! Let go!”
Yu Zhao didn’t let go, instead laughing playfully. “But it’s Miss Bo who’s seducing me. How can you call me a pervert?”
Bo Chi: “???”
The Yu Zhao before her seemed different. Bo Chi stared blankly, unable to pinpoint what was off. She could only cover her backside and scoot away, saying sternly, “Yu Zhao, I’ll be frank, there’s no future between us.”
Yu Zhao narrowed her eyes. “Why?”
Bo Chi said seriously, “Because you’re my sister-in-law!”
Yu Zhao: “…”
The rising wave of possessiveness was successfully calmed. Yu Zhao chuckled ruefully, rubbing her temples, realizing that Bo Chi was engaging in some sort of… roleplay again.
To appease her wife, she paused, then suddenly grinned mischievously. “Do you know why I’m with your brother?”
Bo Chi replied innocently, “Because you like each other?”
“Nope.” Yu Zhao’s smile deepened, her voice teasing. “Because from the very beginning, I’ve had my eyes on you.”
