Malicious Female Lead’s Guide to Causing Trouble [Quick Transmigration] 11

Chapter 11

“Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Sunlight streamed through the window, painting the floor gold.

Bo Chi remained frozen. Seeing her motionless, Yu Zhao asked solicitously, “Is it because we were a bit too… enthusiastic last night, and you’re feeling unwell?”

Bo Chi’s face flushed crimson. She pounded the bed in embarrassment. “H-How can you just say that out loud?! And… and why are you so calm?!”

Yu Zhao paused, tucking her messy hair behind her ear, a flicker of guilt in her narrow, charming eyes.

Unlike Bo Chi, who had a low alcohol tolerance and was easily drunk, she had retained some clarity last night despite the alcohol. Bo Chi didn’t remember anything, but she clearly recalled how she had held the girl’s waist, enticing her into shared indulgence.

However, that had been a drunken impulse. Now, sobered up and looking at Bo Chi, who seemed to want to burrow into the blankets, Yu Zhao felt that doing such a thing before they were officially married was perhaps not right.

After a moment of thought, she put an arm around Bo Chi’s bruised shoulder, her beautiful face serious. “Don’t worry, I’ll take responsibility.”

Bo Chi’s mind reeled. Confused, she stammered, “Responsibility? But you… you and my brother…”

Yu Zhao raised an eyebrow, puzzled about what their relationship had to do with Bo Ji.

However, since her wife cared, she dutifully replied, “He’s your brother. I’ll try my best to get along with him.”

Bo Chi: “?!?”

Was this the equivalent of, ‘I’m not here to break up your family; I’m here to join it’?!

Damn.

Things were complicated!

Bo Chi couldn’t accept such a twisted relationship. Just as she was about to scold Yu Zhao, a knock on the door and a man’s cheerful voice interrupted her. “It’s 8:30. Time for my little baby to wake up.”

Bo Chi froze, slowly looking down at her body covered in marks, then at the innocent Yu Zhao beside her. She quickly scrambled out of bed, pulling at Yu Zhao. “Quick, quick, my brother’s here! Hide!”

Yu Zhao casually picked up some clothes. As she bent down, her gaze fell on Bo Chi’s bare feet, and she frowned. “Don’t run around barefoot. You’ll catch a cold.”

Bo Chi was frantic. “At a time like this, you’re still worried about me?”

Yu Zhao blinked, about to say something.

Bo Chi didn’t give her the chance, hastily pushing her into the bathroom. She hurriedly put on some clothes, then cautiously opened the door a crack, poking her head out and saying breathlessly, “G-Good morning, Brother.”

Bo Ji lowered his hand, puzzled. “Why are you in such a panic so early in the morning?”

Bo Chi averted her gaze. “A-Am I?”

She was incredibly nervous, not daring to open the door wider, fearing Bo Ji would discover his fiancée had already slept with her.

However, her behavior only piqued Bo Ji’s curiosity. He reached out to push the door open.

They tussled at the doorway for a while. Finally, Bo Ji, having had enough fun, pushed the door open amidst his sister’s protests, laughing. “What treasure are you hiding in here? So secretive, not even letting me—Hmm? Yu Zhao?”

Bo Chi’s heart skipped a beat. She turned to see Yu Zhao, whom she had just hidden, walking out. Although fully dressed, the wrinkles on her clothes and her slightly damp hair from her recent shower made it obvious what they had been doing.

Silence filled the air.

Bo Chi’s vision darkened. Just as she braced herself for her brother’s wrath, Yu Zhao spoke, her voice laced with displeasure, “Don’t bully her.”

Bo Ji frowned. “I’m teasing my sister. Why are you interfering?”

Despite his words, seeing the intimacy between the two, he still felt awkward. He ruffled Bo Chi’s hair. “Alright, I just came to tell you that Mom and Dad know about the marriage. They’re very happy and plan to come back in a few days. Remember to bring her home to meet them then.”

Bo Chi: “Huh? Oh… okay.”

She responded absentmindedly, still confused about the situation even after Bo Ji hummed a tune and left.

Yu Zhao walked over to her, hesitating slightly. “Your parents are coming back? Should I buy them some gifts? Do they have any preferences?”

Bo Chi snapped back to reality. “They’re not short on money. They buy whatever they like. Just get them something thoughtful. It’s the thought that counts.”

Yu Zhao relaxed, humming in agreement. “I understand. Go take a shower. Last night…”

Bo Chi’s scalp tingled at the words “last night.” She covered her ears, interrupting her. “Don’t mention it again! Let’s… let’s just pretend it never happened, okay?”

She sounded pitiful, on the verge of a breakdown.

Yu Zhao stared at the top of her head, hesitating. “…Was my technique not good? But it was my first time with a girl…”

Bo Chi almost choked, her toes curling. Fighting back the embarrassment, she said, “Your technique was fine… But that’s not what I meant! I mean, this kind of thing should only happen between people who like each other. Do you like me?”

Yu Zhao didn’t hesitate. “I like you.”

Bo Chi: “That’s what I’m saying. You don’t actually—Huh???”

She was stunned, nearly biting her tongue.

Yu Zhao cupped her face in her hands, repeating each word deliberately, “You heard me right. I like you.”

Bo Chi’s eyes widened, unable to look away as she stared at Yu Zhao.

Their breaths mingled, becoming indistinguishable. The atmosphere grew increasingly intimate as they leaned closer, closer, until Yu Zhao kissed Bo Chi’s slightly swollen lips, gently and tenderly.

Bo Chi was forced to tilt her head back. As her mind drifted, she suddenly smelled the familiar scent of her own body wash on Yu Zhao.

She instantly snapped awake, her cheeks burning as she pushed Yu Zhao away. Too flustered to speak, she turned and fled the room.

**

Afternoon.

Bo Chi appeared in a private room at a bar.

The original host was a minor shareholder here, often hosting parties for friends. Despite being in this world for so long, this was Bo Chi’s first time here.

She hadn’t invited the original host’s friends because men felt unsafe, and women reminded her of Yu Zhao.

After some thought, she asked the bartender to bring her a pile of cat and dog plushies, arranging them neatly opposite her. As she poured them juice, she poured out her worries. “…What is going on?! Yu Zhao actually likes me? What a joke! She used to run away at the sight of me!”

Although after a while, Yu Zhao had seemingly changed her mind, turning around to cling to her constantly, even becoming more physically affectionate, Bo Chi, still shaken, subjectively believed Yu Zhao had once deeply disliked her.

She couldn’t understand why Yu Zhao liked her now, finally sighing at a plush orange cat. “Maybe it’s because of her amnesia. If she recovers her memory one day and remembers what we did… she might kill me.”

The horrifying image made Bo Chi snap out of her melancholic mood. Alarmed, she thought, No, I can’t keep making the same mistake… Since she says she likes me, I’ll find a decoy and pretend. Once she gives up completely, this can all be over!
