Chapter 10
As dawn broke, Bo Chi boarded the car to school.
It was the cusp between night and morning. The school was quiet, and besides the ever-diligent Yu Zhao, the classroom was empty.
Bo Chi looked tired, her delicate makeup unable to conceal her yawns. As she stepped into the classroom, she immediately caught Yu Zhao’s attention.
“Didn’t sleep well last night?” Yu Zhao put down her book, stood up, pulled out a chair, and pressed Bo Chi into it.
Bo Chi looked at her intently, not answering, but asking directly, “Are you getting married?”
Yu Zhao paused, then understanding dawned, a helpless smile touching her lips. “Just because of this, you didn’t sleep all night?”
Seeing her indirectly confirm the marriage, Bo Chi bit her lip, a feeling of tightness in her chest. She turned her face away, refusing to acknowledge her.
Yu Zhao had heard of pre-wedding jitters. Seeing Bo Chi’s reaction, she spoke even more patiently. “Don’t overthink it. Whether we get married or not, our feelings won’t change. If you really can’t accept it, I can postpone or cancel the wedding. After all, nothing is more important than your wishes.”
She spoke gently, her charming eyes filled with a smile, seemingly without a hint of hesitation or reluctance.
Bo Chi stared at her for a moment. Though somewhat appeased, she still said rationally, “You’ve already made an agreement. Going back on it now will affect your credibility… Forget it, anyway…”
Anyway, as long as it wasn’t that stallion, Lin Ye, it was fine.
Bo Chi tried to console herself, her mood still sour. Yu Zhao, on the other hand, looked as if she’d won the lottery. She no longer looked at her book, her gaze fixed on Bo Chi with a smile, making her feel both uncomfortable and annoyed. She stood up abruptly. “I was just asking casually. Don’t overthink it!”
After her curt remark, without waiting for a reply, Bo Chi left the classroom to escape the unsettling feeling.
After spacing out in the car for a while, Bo Chi suddenly remembered she still owed Yu Zhao lunch. Thinking further, considering Yu Zhao’s family background and the people she would face after marrying into the Bo family, she perked up, instructing the driver to head to the mall.
Evening.
Yu Zhao scanned her surroundings as she walked out of the school.
After a few steps, she spotted the Bo family’s car with its door wide open. Bo Chi, wearing sunglasses that covered half her face and a new dress, raised her pale hand and beckoned her with a crooked finger.
Yu Zhao paused, almost convinced Bo Chi was flirting with her.
But on second thought, she decided Bo Chi wasn’t that clever, so she suppressed her racing heart, obediently got into the car, and sat down.
“I’ve already spoken to Auntie.” After a day of shopping, Bo Chi’s mood had visibly improved. “We’ll have Western food later. If it gets too late, you can stay at my place, and we can go to school together tomorrow.”
Yu Zhao’s heart fluttered, her gaze traveling down Bo Chi’s elegant neck, her voice unknowingly husky. “We… sleep together?”
Bo Chi snorted. “Who wants to sleep with you? You’ll sleep in the guest room!”
Disappointment flickered in Yu Zhao’s eyes. “Alright.”
It was fine if they didn’t sleep together now.
After marriage, she could sleep with her every day, every moment, from morning till night.
This thought brought a smile to Yu Zhao’s lips as she turned, contentedly admiring her beautifully dressed… wife.
The evening breeze accompanied them as they arrived at the Western restaurant.
Bo Chi and Yu Zhao sat down amidst the melodious piano music.
The usually careless Bo Chi also had her meticulous moments, like now, as she softly and carefully explained dining etiquette to Yu Zhao, wanting to ensure that after marrying into the Bo family, Yu Zhao wouldn’t be judged by others.
Yu Zhao listened attentively, her gaze never leaving Bo Chi.
They say a beauty under the lamplight appears even more beautiful. Yu Zhao agreed wholeheartedly. How could her wife be so cute and beautiful?
Her sparkling almond-shaped eyes were beautiful, her porcelain-white face was beautiful, her wine-stained lips were beautiful, and even the stray strand of black hair was beautiful.
Yu Zhao’s gaze intensified. To quench her thirst, she once again drained her glass, then stared intently at her wife.
Bo Chi: “?”
She was just drinking. Why stare at her after finishing?
Was this a provocation?!
Bo Chi, feeling challenged, also finished her drink.
However, her alcohol tolerance was low. After drinking, she started giggling foolishly, her sweet voice drawing out like melted cotton candy. “Yu Zhao… Yu Zhao…”
The world blurred before her eyes. Someone seemed to be talking, but she couldn’t hear them clearly.
She instinctively grabbed Yu Zhao, clinging to her like a koala, repeating the name etched into her bones.
The surroundings were noisy for a while, then suddenly quieted down.
Bo Chi, feeling dizzy, opened her eyes with difficulty, vaguely realizing they were back at her home and Yu Zhao was asleep beside her, her arms tightly around her waist.
Bo Chi mumbled something unintelligible, reaching out to push her nemesis away. However, she misjudged her strength, bumping her head against Yu Zhao’s and waking the half-drunk woman.
“What’s wrong?” Yu Zhao leaned closer, kissing her cheek. “Are you feeling unwell from the alcohol?”
Bo Chi: “&……%%!”
Yu Zhao: “?”
They spoke incoherently, neither understanding the other.
In their confusion, they tumbled together. It was unclear who initiated the kiss, who initiated the touch. Clothes were discarded, bodies intertwined. Like white clouds swirling, a waterfall cascading, and flowers trembling by the riverbank, speckled plum blossoms fell upon the snow.
After a night of passion, Bo Chi woke up late the next morning, her body aching.
She forced her eyes open, genuine confusion clouding her vision. It took her a moment to register the messy bedsheets and the intimate marks covering her body, not even sparing her inner thighs.
She was stunned.
Which beast, in their insatiable hunger, had devoured her so thoroughly?!
Bo Chi was shocked and mortified. She turned to look beside her, murderous intent flashing in her eyes.
At that moment, a pair of arms reached out, encircling her slender waist and pulling her closer. The person pressed against her back, nuzzling her neck and chuckling contentedly. “Good morning.”
Bo Chi felt as if struck by lightning, her body stiffening. She didn’t even notice the playful nibbling on her earlobe, her mind filled with a single, screaming thought—Shit, this wasn’t just sleeping with her nemesis! This was sleeping with her future sister-in-law!!
