You’re Not Allowed to Kiss Me Anymore! [Quick Transmigration] 24

Chapter 24: Transmigrated as the Abusive Story’s Cannon Fodder Female Supporting Character

The heavy stone door rumbled shut, plunging the cave back into dimness.

Xin Yao lay on the soft bed, her head turned slightly, her slender neck exposed.

The faint light filtering through the cracks in the stone illuminated her face, her long eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings.

She frowned slightly, a look of discomfort on her face.

A scarlet snake tongue traced her cheek, its forked tip teasing her earlobe before sliding down her neck to the hollow of her shoulder.

With a gentle tug, it unhooked the strap of her princess dress, revealing her smooth, white shoulder, its delicate fragrance like freshly fallen snow.

The snake’s tongue, unable to resist, lapped at her skin, a possessive demon claiming its territory.

Its hunger grew, its desire insatiable.

Its teeth grazed her skin as it gently tugged at the sleeve of her dress, tearing it away.

Xin Yao’s bare arm, white and trembling, was exposed.

She gasped, arching her back, pushing against the weight on top of her.

“Stop…”

The snake stilled, its hand resting beside Xin Yao’s face, its body hovering above her, its presence a heavy, oppressive weight.

The stillness only intensified the tension.

Xin Yao opened her eyes, cautiously looking up.

The snake’s gaze was fixed on her, its dark red eyes burning with possessive desire, as if it would devour her whole.

Its face was familiar, but its eyes were those of a stranger.

This wasn’t the Pei Yu she knew.

Xin Yao realized that even though Pei Yu had returned to her half-human, half-snake form, she was still in her possessive phase, her mind still partly feral.

Compared to the usually aloof and composed President Pei, this version was wilder, more dangerous, and unrestrained.

She might actually try to force Xin Yao to lay eggs.

Remembering the butler still buried in the snowdrift outside, Xin Yao’s courage deflated like a punctured balloon.

She relaxed her resistance, closing her eyes, her body trembling slightly, surrendering to the demon’s touch.

Like a captured princess, vulnerable and helpless.

The snake, its eyes gleaming dangerously, continued its exploration, its tongue tracing Xin Yao’s skin.

After a while, Xin Yao heard a faint sob.

It was a soft, almost inaudible sound, like a kitten’s whimper, weak yet heart-wrenching.

The snake demon, consumed by its possessive instincts, paused, lifting its head from Xin Yao’s chest.

It saw tears streaming down Xin Yao’s face.

The poor little rabbit, afraid of angering the snake, was trying to suppress her sobs, biting her lip to stifle the sound.

Tears glistened on her long eyelashes, making her look even more pitiful.

Pei Yu’s movements stilled. She leaned closer to Xin Yao.

“What’s wrong, Yaoyao?”

Xin Yao bit her lip, her tears continuing to flow, but she didn’t answer.

Seeing its mate crying, even the possessive Pei Yu couldn’t continue.

The predatory glint in her eyes softened, her forked tongue darting out to gently lick away Xin Yao’s tears.

“Yaoyao, why are you crying?”

Xin Yao, always perceptive, sensing the shift in the snake’s demeanor, knew how to manipulate her.

Emboldened, she reached out and gently touched the snake’s face.

“You scared me!”

Scared her?

The fiery possessiveness in Pei Yu’s eyes dimmed, replaced by confusion.

Despite her diminished rationality, she had learned to prioritize her mate’s happiness, apologizing instinctively.

She nuzzled her head against Xin Yao’s cheek, her tongue licking her skin apologetically.

“I didn’t. I would never scare you.”

As Pei Yu retreated, Xin Yao pressed her advantage.

“You did! You scared me the moment you came in! You roared at me! You know I’m afraid of you! I thought you were going to eat me!”

“And you didn’t even say a word when you came in! You just…”

It was a gross exaggeration.

No self-respecting snake would eat its mate.

But Xin Yao’s accusations, delivered with such conviction, made Pei Yu question herself.

Her small, fragile human was easily frightened. She should have been more gentle.

The snake, its terrifying red eyes softening, lowered its head and nuzzled against Xin Yao, its voice a soft murmur.

“I was wrong. I was too impulsive when I arrived. It’s my fault. But I wasn’t roaring at you. I was just scaring away the intruder.”

Xin Yao looked at her. “But wasn’t that your butler? Am I not even allowed to talk to other people now?”

The rational Pei Yu, while perhaps thinking otherwise, would have politely replied that it was fine.

But the possessive Pei Yu, hearing Xin Yao’s words, felt a surge of possessiveness.

“No. You’re mine. You can only look at me.”

Xin Yao was speechless. Possessive snake demons were truly irrational!

Seeing Xin Yao’s tear-filled eyes and pouting lips, Pei Yu’s tone softened.

“I didn’t mean to force myself on you when I came in. I just didn’t want you to have another person’s scent on you.”

So, it was Xin Yao’s fault now?

“I don’t care! You scared me!”

“I didn’t scare you… Fine, it’s my fault,” the snake conceded, wrapping its coils around Xin Yao, burying its head in her neck. “Forgive me, baby.”

Baby?

Where had she learned that, Pei Yu? Was she trying to be cute?

Xin Yao’s ears turned pink, her eyelids fluttering.

Even for a possessive snake demon, the wrath of its mate was a force to be reckoned with.

But the seemingly heartless Miss Xin wasn’t easily appeased.

She refused to speak to Pei Yu for the rest of the night.

And when Pei Yu tried to snuggle closer, Xin Yao would move away, even hogging the blanket, refusing to share.

They lay on opposite sides of the bed, separated by a vast, imaginary gulf.

Despite her overwhelming desire to be close to her mate, Pei Yu didn’t dare to touch her.

Why?

Perhaps because Miss Xin’s smile was too precious.

Even though she didn’t understand emotions like sadness or hurt, she didn’t want to see Miss Xin unhappy.

Miss Xin should always be smiling.

It wasn’t until the next day, after the snake demon had prepared a lavish breakfast for Xin Yao, that her mate finally softened, acknowledging her presence.

Xin Yao glanced at Pei Yu, her expression still slightly sullen.

“You said you were going to pick a snow lotus for me. Why did you come back so soon? Where is it?”

Pei Yu looked up, her eyes brightening.

“The flower had wilted. It wasn’t pretty enough for you. Do you like them? I can go pick another one today, if you want.”

Xin Yao didn’t answer immediately, stirring the porridge in her bowl. After a moment, she murmured a soft “mm-hmm.”

The simple sound made Pei Yu’s heart soar. At least she had a way to appease her mate.

As she prepared to leave, she couldn’t help but feel reluctant.

Every moment away from her mate during her possessive phase was like torture, an unbearable ache.

She turned back at the entrance of the cave, looking at Xin Yao.

Then, impulsively, she flicked her tail, slithering back to Xin Yao and kissing her.

“Yuck!”

Xin Yao’s eyes widened in surprise, her hand instinctively covering her mouth.

Perhaps it was her surprised expression, or perhaps it was simply her cuteness, but Pei Yu couldn’t resist kissing her again.

“Wait for me. I’ll be back soon.”

Pei Yu left.

The stone door closed behind her, the cave falling silent once more.

Xin Yao sat at the table, staring at the door, lost in thought.

After a few minutes, she suddenly stood up, breathing a sigh of relief.

Finally! She had let her guard down!

All that pretending to be angry had paid off!

Without wasting a second, she rushed towards the door.

The butler, despite being thrown into a snowdrift, had managed to signal to her how to open the stone door.

Following his instructions, she found the hidden button!

Now, all she had to do was follow the path he had described to reach the cell tower a few hundred meters away.

She wasn’t planning to abandon Pei Yu.

She knew that even if she managed to escape, Pei Yu would find her and bring her back. It was pointless.

But she at least wanted to call her father and the company.

The stone door rumbled open, revealing the breathtaking scenery outside.

The vast expanse of snow-capped mountains stretched as far as the eye could see, their peaks reaching towards the sky.

Wisps of clouds drifted lazily through the air, the morning sunlight painting the mountaintops in shades of gold and pink.

It was a magnificent sight.

But the wind on the mountaintop was strong.

Fortunately, Pei Yu, in her concern for Xin Yao, had cast some sort of protective spell on her.

Despite wearing only her bunny slippers and pajamas, Xin Yao didn’t feel the cold or the wind.

But she didn’t have time to admire the scenery. She took a deep breath and stepped out of the cave.

The cell tower was only a few hundred meters away. Based on Pei Yu’s speed, she could make a quick call and return before Pei Yu noticed.

Even if Pei Yu smelled another person’s scent on her, it wouldn’t be a big deal. She could just apologize and appease her.

She could even pretend to be eager to have Pei Yu’s offspring.

With that thought in mind, Xin Yao started running towards the south, as the butler had instructed.

The landscape was a vast expanse of white, the occasional patch of green quickly disappearing behind her as she ran, leaving a trail of small footprints in the snow.

After running for a while, she paused to catch her breath.

The scenery was stunning, but Xin Yao was more concerned about finding the cell tower.

The butler had said it was nearby and easy to find, but she had been running for a while and still hadn’t seen it.

Had she been too reckless, venturing out alone?

She hadn’t had time to get more detailed instructions from the butler.

And after being thrown into a snowdrift by Pei Yu, the butler probably wouldn’t dare to approach this area again.

And Pei Yu wouldn’t let her go.

She had to find it on her own.

She had to hurry. Pei Yu would be back soon.

After a brief rest, Xin Yao continued running.

She reached a large boulder, blocking her path, creating a blind corner.

Hmm?

The butler had said the path to the cell tower was clear. Where did this boulder come from?

Without thinking, she rounded the corner.

And as she saw what was on the other side, she gasped, her eyes widening in horror, a chill running down her spine.

She stumbled backwards, her fingers trembling.

Standing there, in the snow, just beyond the boulder, was Pei Yu, in her half-human, half-snake form.

Her eyes were lowered, her white hair swirling around her face, her expression cold and aloof.

The only splashes of color were her blood-red eyes, almost glowing in the sunlight, and the delicate snow lotuses she held in her hand.

Her expression was as cold and impassive as the snow-covered mountains behind her.

She looked at Xin Yao, her voice calm.

“Yaoyao, you’re going the wrong way. That’s north, not south.”

As she spoke, it began to snow.

The snowflakes, like tiny white feathers, danced in the air, settling on Pei Yu’s hair and shoulders.

She stood there, against the backdrop of the snow-covered mountains, surrounded by falling snow, her beauty ethereal and otherworldly.

But her expression was colder than the snow.

She looked at Xin Yao, her voice calm.

“Are you trying to run away, Yaoyao?”

Perhaps she wasn’t expecting an answer.

Because after asking the question, she didn’t give Xin Yao a chance to reply.

With a flick of her tail, she slithered towards Xin Yao, stopping inches away.

She leaned down, her face so close to Xin Yao’s that their lips almost touched.

Then, in a soft, almost seductive whisper, she asked, “Yaoyao, do I have to keep you in bed, unable to move, for you to stay with me forever?”
