What was daily life like after being kidnapped by a giant snake?
Being constricted, licked, and constantly pestered about laying eggs.
Since being brought to the cave, the snake hadn’t left Xin Yao’s side, following her everywhere.
And after being kicked out of bed that morning—perhaps feeling wronged—it had become even clingier.
The heavy snake insisted on coiling around her, following her even to the bathroom.
When Xin Yao tried to use the restroom, she finally lost her patience, pointing at the snake and ordering it to get off.
“If you dare follow me in there, you’re dead! I’ll never speak to you again, Pei Yu!”
The snake tilted its head, looking at her, then at her hand, its tongue flicking out to lick her fingers.
“Yuck!”
Xin Yao quickly pulled her hand back, glaring at the snake, then a smile touched her lips.
Pei Yu, in her possessive phase, was unexpectedly cute.
Cute, but also a headache.
On her first day of captivity, Xin Yao’s anxiety grew.
Not to mention her mission, her sudden disappearance would worry her family.
Even if they reported her missing, the police wouldn’t be able to find her. And how would she explain this when she returned to her own world?
But Pei Yu, either pretending not to understand or simply refusing to answer, clearly had no intention of letting her go.
Xin Yao became desperate to escape.
But how?
She was trapped on a remote mountaintop, surrounded by snow and ice, with no idea where she was, her every move monitored by a possessive snake demon. She couldn’t even leave the cave.
Just as she was starting to despair, an unexpected opportunity presented itself.
On the second day of her captivity, Pei Yu left!
Apparently, seeing Xin Yao’s unhappiness, she had decided to retrieve a rare snow lotus from the mountaintop to cheer her up.
Before leaving, she had become even clingier, showering Xin Yao with affection, reluctant to leave her side.
Finally, seeing Xin Yao’s growing impatience, she left, glancing back repeatedly as she slithered away.
The heavy stone door closed behind her, plunging the cave into silence.
Xin Yao sat on the bed, hugging her knees, dressed in a princess dress Pei Yu had provided, her anxiety growing.
Just as she decided to explore the cave, looking for a way out, she heard a rumbling sound.
The heavy stone door, which had just closed, was opening again.
Xin Yao froze, thinking Pei Yu had returned.
But as the door opened fully, revealing the snowy landscape outside, she saw the newcomer and paused, her eyes widening in surprise.
“Huh? Who are you?”
If Xin Yao’s surprise at seeing another person in Pei Yu’s territory had been mild, the newcomer’s reaction was one of utter shock and disbelief.
“Who… who are you?! What are you doing in Miss Pei’s cave?!”
Xin Yao, perhaps influenced by the snake’s simplemindedness, tilted her head, looking at the man dressed in thick mountaineering gear, his arms laden with supplies.
Then, his words registered in her mind.
Ah!
He was here, calling Pei Yu “Miss Pei.” He must be from the Pei family!
And he was carrying supplies, probably for Pei Yu.
Xin Yao’s eyes lit up with hope.
She jumped off the bed and ran towards him, her bunny slippers padding softly against the stone floor.
“Who am I…? Well, it’s a long story. Let’s just say your Miss Pei kidnapped me last night! It was so sudden! My family has no idea where I am! Can you take me back? Or at least lend me your phone so I can call someone?”
The man, still reeling from the shock of seeing Xin Yao, was further bewildered by her rapid-fire questions.
“I… I suppose? There’s a cell tower nearby. You can call from there, or get a ride back.”
Then, he suddenly realized something.
“Ah! You must be Miss Xin Yao! Miss Pei mentioned you.”
“Hello, hello! I’m Miss Pei’s personal butler. I’m responsible for bringing supplies to this cave.”
He knew her! This was even better! Xin Yao stepped closer.
“Then, when can we…?”
Xin Yao wanted to leave.
She had wanted to leave since she arrived.
If she couldn’t leave, she at least wanted to call her father and let him know she was safe.
But before she could finish her sentence, her gaze fixed on something outside the cave, her body freezing.
Standing outside, against the backdrop of the snowy mountain, was a giant white snake.
Its white scales blended in with the snow, but its eyes, lowered and fixed on them, were like pools of blood, their gaze terrifying.
This creature… always eavesdropping.
Xin Yao’s horrified expression startled the butler, who turned to see what she was looking at.
His reaction was even more dramatic. He almost fainted.
Just as they both saw her, Pei Yu lunged forward, her massive form no longer gentle and playful, her mouth opening wide in a furious roar.
“Roar!”
The sound echoed through the mountains, shaking the very ground beneath their feet.
The butler’s legs gave way, and he collapsed onto the floor.
He cursed himself.
Why couldn’t he just faint?!
Pei Yu hadn’t intended to harm him.
While her memories were fragmented, she recognized his scent.
And he had been able to open the stone door, so he must be someone she knew.
However…
This was her territory, and her mate was here.
How dare he enter her territory without permission, approach her mate, and speak to her?
How dare he look at her wife!
He was so close, his disgusting scent almost clinging to Yaoyao.
He was no longer an acquaintance, but an intruder.
Pei Yu’s first instinct was to intimidate him, to drive him away, to make sure he never looked at Yaoyao again.
But the intruder was even weaker than she had anticipated, collapsing onto the floor.
Pei Yu looked down at him with disdain, her massive eyes narrowed into slits.
Then, she picked him up by the scruff of his neck, along with his supplies, and tossed him into a nearby snowdrift.
Her gaze then settled on Xin Yao.
Xin Yao, staring into those predatory eyes, almost stumbled, her legs weak with fear.
So, the snake’s earlier cuteness had been a facade.
Pei Yu was always dangerous, the only difference being whether she chose to reveal it or not.
As Xin Yao cowered before her, Pei Yu, having dealt with the intruder, slithered towards her, her body bathed in the golden sunlight, the light growing brighter and brighter.
Then, as the light intensified, Pei Yu’s massive form began to shrink, transforming into her usual half-human, half-snake form.
She floated down from the ceiling, her white hair swirling around her, her eyes cold yet somehow compassionate, her massive snake tail swaying gently, her appearance both ethereal and demonic.
She slithered towards Xin Yao, stopping before her.
Xin Yao knew that Pei Yu’s possessiveness was strong during her heat cycle, but she hadn’t expected it to escalate to this, not even allowing her to speak to another person.
She wanted to explain, but she didn’t know what to say.
And she didn’t have to.
Pei Yu took care of it herself.
Her gaze fixed on Xin Yao’s face, she reached out and gently caressed her cheek, her touch warm against Xin Yao’s trembling skin.
“Wife, mine.”
No one could touch her, or even look at her!
She was Pei Yu’s wife!
The scent of another person on her was disgusting!
She couldn’t allow her wife to be tainted.
So, Pei Yu, her touch both gentle and possessive, her body burning with the heat of her desire, kissed Xin Yao.
She would lick her clean, every inch of her, until only Pei Yu’s scent remained.
