Angel turned her head in alarm, immediately intimidated by Lena’s Mana Surge form.

What immense magic power was required to sustain such a form? Was Lena planning to bully her in this state?!

Before she could think, a drop of scalding, viscous black magic dripped from Lena’s finger onto her soft, white skin.

“Ahh~” Angel cried out involuntarily, her voice like a lark’s song.

“They say the Holy and the Necromantic are natural enemies, sworn foes. What we’re doing, is it defying taboo, a testament to love?”

Lena’s finger traced patterns on Angel’s skin, and as for what she wrote…

“Ugh… who the hell is your kitten?!”

Angel reacted violently, clearly understanding the meaning of the words, but the ensuing madness was unavoidable…

“I’m sorry, Mama, waaaah…”

“Don’t look at me, look at the camera, come on, smile.”

“Your daughter is unfilial, incompetent, waaaah…”

“Hmph~”

Morning.

The gray-haired beauty by the bedside tied up her hair, her ample bosom straining against the thin sheet. She looked at the pink-haired girl clutching a pillow to her chest, her lips parting slightly:

“What? Not satisfied? If you’re not satisfied, you can find another way. I won’t treat Little White anymore.”

“No!”

Tears welled up in Angel’s lovely eyes. The mention of Little White being harmed immediately made her panic, tears streaming down her face.

Little White was her weakness. She would protect her mother’s legacy with her life.

“Lena…ha… if Ling Ling was also captured by villains, her life threatened, what would you do?”

Angel clutched her swollen belly, sitting up with difficulty, her eyes filled with pleading.

“I think you understand why you reacted the way you did, why you suddenly attacked me. But what if it were Ling Ling? Put yourself in my shoes. Why should I endure your dark desires, ugh…”

As she spoke, she almost gagged, covering her mouth to avoid losing her composure.

Lena parted her lips, tilting her head. “You’re asking me why?”

Angel nodded, tears streaming down her face. “I want to know.”

“Simple. Because you’re weak, because your family is inferior to mine, because you have a weakness in my hands, and you’re too weak to do anything about it. Understand?” Lena spoke sharply, her eyes like a predator eyeing its prey.

“Then let me reiterate my question, Lena.”

Angel wrinkled her nose, her petite frame now carrying a pregnancy-like fullness, thanks to Lena.

But she still didn’t blame Lena, only saying softly, “You didn’t want to bully me anymore, did you?”

“No…”

Lena’s dismissive “no” never left her lips.

Because the moment she spoke, Angel kissed her with all her might.

It was a slow kiss, easy to dodge, but Lena didn’t. Or rather, Lena hadn’t expected Angel to take the initiative, and Angel even returned the magic power Lena had given her.

Their lips parted, Lena’s fingertip resting on the spot where Angel had kissed her.

That gentle kiss, carrying the desperate courage of a cornered animal, made Lena look at Angel with new eyes.

True strength only emerged in the face of adversity; she had finally found Angel’s breaking point.

Lena cupped the back of Angel’s head, their bodies overlapping. This time, it was Lena’s initiative.

“Lena.” Angel’s eyes were red-rimmed, her voice barely a whisper.

“We can do it again if you want.”

Lena licked her bleeding lip; Angel’s kissing technique was terrible.

She chuckled. “Or take things further?”

Angel pushed aside her distracting thoughts, her voice serious. “Don’t say useless things, Lena. Do you even have a heart?!”

“Of course, listen.”

Lena pulled Angel’s limp body into her arms, her ear against Angel’s soft breast, letting her hear her strong heartbeat, like a sleeping beast snoring.

She murmured, “I have a heart, but I’ve lost my soul. My soul is far away, I can’t find it, because fate has already taken it. You can’t help me…”

“I can,” Angel insisted stubbornly.

“You can’t,” Lena opposed just as stubbornly.

“I can!”

“You…”

“I said…” Angel slowly released Lena’s lips, saying each word deliberately, “I can!”
