Reincarnated as a Holy Nun, I Refuse to Lose! v2c36

Volume 2: Witch Kingdom Arc

Chapter 36: The Key to the Divine Gate

Kshira looked at the churning black mist, corroding the walls of the room, revealing golden magic circles beneath. After a few moments, she looked at the figure sitting amidst the darkness.

“My, my, such a terrifying attack. If I had been hit by that, my soul would have been destroyed… tsk, tsk…”

Luo Yuxi, feeling emboldened, looked at Kshira defiantly. Helena, the bed beneath her having dissolved, stood up.

“The chains are loose…”

Helena looked at the chains on her wrists, the divine power within them dissipating like iron in acid, turning gray and crumbling into dust.

“Quickly, Goddess of Light, teach your naughty little sister a lesson~!”

Luo Yuxi eagerly awaited the Goddess’s tearful pleas for mercy, but Kshira remained calm, simply pointing at Helena.

“Your Goddess doesn’t seem capable of defeating me~”

“Eh?”

Luo Yuxi looked at Kshira’s confident expression and had a bad feeling. She turned to see that only the chain on Helena’s right arm had broken, her neck and left hand were still bound, and the shackles on her ankles rattled.

“N-No way…”

“Only your right hand is free, how can you fight me~?”

Kshira laughed triumphantly. Luo Yuxi looked at Helena, like a wilting white lotus, her white and gold dress torn and tattered, her skin exposed. As Luo Yuxi hid behind her, she couldn’t resist taking advantage of the situation.

“Come on, hit me again! Use that attack again! Wait, so smooth…”

Luo Yuxi taunted Kshira while groping Helena’s exposed waist, but Kshira wasn’t going to give her a chance.

“You think the same trick will work twice…?”

The space around Luo Yuxi froze again, the familiar feeling of suffocation returning. She struggled, but she couldn’t even move a finger.

“Die…”

“Ah! I’m dead…!”

“…”
“…”

Nothing happened. Luo Yuxi, confused, checked her body, unharmed. Kshira looked at her hands, puzzled. She had used her divine power to crush Luo Yuxi, yet she was still standing there.

“A little bit of my power has returned, not much, but enough…”

“You still want to defy me?!”

Kshira looked at Helena, who was glowing faintly, realizing what had happened. Even a single hand was enough to cause trouble.

“I just had a change of heart. It’s a sister’s duty to correct her misguided sibling, isn’t it?”

“Heh, what’s the point of saying that now? You think I’m afraid to kill you?!”

“What about this…?”

Helena raised her right hand, a crystal key, glowing with blue light, materializing in her palm. Kshira’s eyes widened.

“The Key to the Divine Gate!”

“You recognize it? Good…”

“Heh, you’re offering this in exchange for your follower’s life? Fine, I’ll accept—”

“No, it’s not for you…”

“???”

Before Kshira could react, Helena grabbed Luo Yuxi and embedded the key in her chest.

“It seems you have another mission now. Save the nuns, then come and save me, okay~?”

“Eh?”

Helena smiled gently at Luo Yuxi. Kshira, seeing this, exploded into a black mist, rushing towards them.

“Stop!!!”

Helena pushed Luo Yuxi, who fell through a square portal that appeared behind her. The last thing she heard was Helena’s gentle “Good luck.”

“What happened…?”

Luo Yuxi looked at the information on the panel, still dazed. She recognized the familiar ceiling with its divine markings.

I’m back…

Luo Yuxi stood up, looking at the Goddess statue and the magnificent cathedral. She was back in the Church’s main hall. She checked her surroundings, then, seeing no one, opened her collar and looked at her chest. Her previously ample bosom now bore key-shaped marks, strangely alluring.

That wasn’t a dream…

Luo Yuxi quickly got dressed and rushed out, heading towards the 12 bishops’ meeting room. She had to tell them about the fake Goddess.

What if they don’t believe me? Whatever, I’ll tell them anyway. Someone might believe me. And the Seat of Sacrifice seems approachable!

Luo Yuxi ran, then slowed down, looking around in confusion. The Church seemed familiar yet unfamiliar. She looked at the vast Goddess Plaza.

Why is it so quiet…?
