Malicious Female Lead’s Guide to Causing Trouble [Quick Transmigration] 12

Chapter 12

Bo Chi, fearing delay would complicate matters, immediately picked up her phone and began searching for a suitable decoy.

She first ruled out women, lest Yu Zhao chime in with a “If a younger sister is acceptable, then an older sister is naturally acceptable too.”

Among men, besides the unreliable rich playboys, only Lin Ye was easy to control.

Bo Chi had always disliked this clueless and arrogant stallion. She would rather hire someone than interact with him, immediately dismissing the thought.

After some searching, nearing noon, she finally found an actor with a 98% approval rating through her friends’ group chat. After arranging to meet at the bar, Bo Chi relaxed, waiting for the actor’s arrival.

The sky outside had unknowingly darkened, clouds gathering overhead. A gentle breeze carried fine droplets of rain against her face.

Her phone suddenly received a text message. Bo Chi looked down and saw it was from Yu Zhao: [Have you eaten lunch, sweetie?]

Bo Chi instinctively wanted to reply. Her slender fingers tapped the screen twice, then quickly retreated.

She couldn’t keep making the same mistake, giving Yu Zhao false hope!

This was a twisted love, destined for no good ending!

After a couple of seconds, Yu Zhao sent another message: [I made your favorite sweet and sour pork ribs. If you’ve already eaten…]

Thinking of Yu Zhao’s cooking and the sweet and sour taste of the ribs, Bo Chi couldn’t resist replying instantly: [I haven’t! Save some for me. I’m on my way!]

Yu Zhao sent a smiling emoji, replying gracefully: [Okay.]

Plans never survive contact with reality. As Bo Chi headed to Yu Zhao’s place, she sent a message to the actor from the car: [Something came up. Don’t come to the bar. Come to this address instead.]

She sent Yu Zhao’s address, adding after a moment of thought: [Wait until after lunch to show up and act. Don’t rush it.]

Otherwise, she worried that Yu Zhao, heartbroken mid-meal, would flip the table in anger, depriving her of the chance to finish the ribs…

Yu Zhao was always a good cook, both in this world and their reality.

Even more precious was the fact that every dish Yu Zhao made suited Bo Chi’s taste perfectly.

Bo Chi once had a falling out with her family, determined to run away from home. Ending up squatting pitifully by the roadside with nowhere to go, it was Yu Zhao who took her in, patiently and calmly cooking three meals a day for her, disregarding her awkwardness and discomfort.

When Bo Chi’s worried parents finally found their rented apartment, wiping tears and preparing to welcome back their thinner daughter, Bo Chi, looking healthy and plump, opened the door, her spirits even higher than usual, making the reunion slightly awkward.

Standing at Yu Zhao’s door, Bo Chi clenched her fists, vowing for the hundred and first time to eat less this time and not let the wicked Yu Zhao fatten her up again.

After making her vow, she raised her hand to knock, simultaneously lifting her handbag, instinctively guarding against cockroaches, mice, or the like.

The childhood trauma remained vivid in her memory, making this an almost instinctive action.

The door opened, revealing Yu Zhao in casual home clothes, her long, black hair loosely tied back, a simple apron around her waist, and thin plastic gloves on her hands. She held a piece of enticing-looking pork rib.

Bo Chi’s eyes were instantly glued to the rib, her pretty face clearly expressing one desire—to eat.

Yu Zhao’s lips curved upwards. She raised her hand. “If you want to eat it, come and get it.”

Bo Chi immediately reached out, only to have her hand caught by Yu Zhao’s other hand, who squeezed it playfully. “You’re not wearing gloves. No grabbing food with your hands.”

Bo Chi blinked, then decisively tried to use her mouth instead.

She stood on tiptoe, her body pressing closer and closer to Yu Zhao. Just as she was about to take a bite of the rib, Yu Zhao suddenly lowered her head and, taking advantage of her open mouth, slipped her tongue in, capturing Bo Chi’s soft tongue in a deep kiss.

Bo Chi froze. Before she could react, Yu Zhao wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her inside.

Yu Zhao hooked the door closed with her foot, shutting out all prying eyes. Satisfied, she pressed Bo Chi against the wall, greedily claiming the girl’s sweetness.

The long kiss drained all of Bo Chi’s strength. By the time Yu Zhao released her, she no longer had the energy to protest, only enough breath left to insist, “Give me… rib!”

Yu Zhao: “…”

Though unwilling to admit it, Yu Zhao felt a twinge of jealousy towards that piece of rib, which had captivated Bo Chi’s attention so completely.

The stove in the kitchen was still on. Yu Zhao stuffed the rib into Bo Chi’s mouth, pinched her cheek affectionately, and went into the kitchen.

After a while, she brought all the dishes to the table.

Bo Chi happily picked up her chopsticks, her mind focused solely on eating.

Yu Zhao tried various ways to start a conversation, but nothing could distract Bo Chi from the food.

Just as Yu Zhao was staring enviously at the much-loved pork ribs, a knock on the door echoed, followed by a man’s voice. “Is Bo Chi here?”

Yu Zhao raised an eyebrow, glancing at Bo Chi, who had paused mid-bite. Just as she was about to get up to answer the door, Bo Chi rushed to the door. “I’ll get it,” she said casually.

She opened the door to find a handsome man in a suit.

Their eyes met, and Bo Chi instantly understood that the actor had arrived. Ignoring her annoyance at his timing, she coughed lightly. “What can I do for you?”

The actor quickly got into character, his eyes reddening like a soap opera protagonist, his voice choked with emotion. “Why haven’t you come to see me lately? Do you know how much I’ve missed you…?”

Bo Chi listened with a serious expression, her attention drawn to the sound of Yu Zhao’s approaching footsteps.

Yu Zhao stopped behind her, silent. If not for the sharp gaze piercing her back, Bo Chi would have almost thought she’d left.

“I know you have many other men and women, but I don’t mind,” the actor continued, adding to his performance, giving her a pointed look, urging her to react.

Bo Chi stiffened, forcing out, “I’m glad you feel that way… As a rich heiress, playing around is normal. I’m not a patient person. I’ll continue to see other people, so…”

Before she could finish, a pair of white arms wrapped around her waist.

Yu Zhao rested her chin on her shoulder, her breath warm against her ear. Though her voice held a smile, it made Bo Chi’s hair stand on end. “Who have you been playing around with? Tell your older sister.”
