Chapter 3: Restore Your Expression
As if he knew what they were thinking, Dong Fei adjusted his glasses, his eyes revealing a fierce glint. “I won’t force anyone. It doesn’t matter if you don’t want to contribute. But don’t expect to touch the supplies we bring back!”
“I’ll go!”
“Me too!”
A few married men showed commendable courage. They had wives and children at home, they had to do something.
Two teams were formed, and Dong Fei naturally went out himself. “Go back now. I’ll notify everyone in the group chat later. But if you want something for nothing, think about what you have to trade.”
An Bai looked at her boyfriend and asked in a low voice, “Ning Gu, we’ve run out of food.”
Ning Gu said impatiently, “What’s the rush? My dad said he’s finding a way to send us food. Do you want me to die out there?”
“No, that’s not what I meant.”
An Bai quickly explained.
But Ning Gu said in a deep voice, “Then what do you mean?”
An Bai’s face turned pale, because that was exactly what she meant.
About three hours later, two cars returned with sparking wheel rims. Six people had left, only four returned.
The waiting families, seeing their sons or husbands hadn’t returned, wept.
“Was my husband caught in the rain?”
“My son…”
Dong Fei said gravely, “It’s chaos out there. Everyone’s fighting for supplies. Your husband and your son were beaten to death, not caught in the rain.”
Everyone looked at each other, their faces filled with fear. However, when they saw the food and water in the back seats and trunk, their fear was replaced by longing.
“I want water, I want water.”
A skinny man rushed forward desperately.
Dong Fei picked up the bloodstained baseball bat beside him and swung it hard. The skinny man’s jaw flew off.
But Dong Fei didn’t stop. He swung the bat at the man’s head again and again until his entire skull was shattered.
With blood splattered on his face, Dong Fei turned to look at the crowd. “Anyone else want to try?”
A man had been beaten to death right before their eyes. Everyone was too terrified to make a sound.
“Listen up!
Men who want supplies must go out. Women who want supplies, use your bodies to trade.”
Dong Fei’s words shocked everyone.
But he couldn’t be blamed. These supplies were earned with their lives, why should they be shared?
The apocalypse had its own rules.
Later that night, a light knock on the door suddenly sounded. Tang Ze put down the pizza he was holding, wiped his hands, and went to open the door, but not before looking through the peephole.
Seeing that familiar face, a smile gradually spread across Tang Ze’s face. “I wondered how long you could hold out.”
She was dressed up nicely today, a little white dress and exquisite makeup, almost on par with the flight attendant.
He opened the door. It was Sun Ting, the streamer. Who would watch live streams now? Even if she earned anything, those digital numbers couldn’t be exchanged for supplies. Just now, one of her fellow streamers went to trade supplies and recounted the inhumane treatment. Several men took turns, and in the end, she only got a cup of water and an Oreo.
So she could only come to this delivery guy. This loser must have a lot of food hidden in his home, so she had dressed up, hoping this loser would give her some benefits.
Sure enough, as soon as the door opened, Sun Ting smelled a familiar yet strange aroma.
It was New Orleans pizza!
Seeing the steaming hot pizza on the coffee table, Sun Ting couldn’t believe it. He still had pizza at a time like this.
“What’s up?”
Tang Ze asked casually, opening a bottle of mineral water and taking a sip.
Despite the lipstick, Sun Ting’s lips were chapped. As a streamer, it was normal to have some food at home, but the problem now was the lack of water. Instant noodles were useless without water.
“Big brother, can you spare me some water?”
Sun Ting, once so arrogant, now saw the water dripping from Tang Ze’s lips, and wished she could open her mouth and catch it.
Tang Ze’s smile deepened. “I still prefer your arrogant and haughty demeanor. Restore it. Call me a loser.”
“Big brother, you misunderstood. It was I who was blind.”
Sun Ting quickly apologized. Her original plan was completely forgotten. Seduction? As long as she could have a sip of water, she would do anything.
Tang Ze drew out an “oh” and slowly lowered the bottle.
Water slowly flowed onto the floor. Sun Ting didn’t hesitate at all, instinctively dropping to the ground – getting down on all fours and extending her dry, chapped tongue to lick the floor. Tang Ze slowly backed into the apartment, and Sun Ting followed, licking her way in. The door slowly closed.
“So, ‘licking the floor’ isn’t just a figure of speech.”
Putting away the mineral water, Tang Ze sat on the sofa and watched Sun Ting.
Sun Ting slowly raised her head, looking at the mineral water bottle in Tang Ze’s hand, her desire uncontainable.
“Want more?”
Tang Ze shook the bottle.
Sun Ting nodded repeatedly at Tang Ze’s feet. “Yes, I want.”
“Then I’ll give you a little more.”
Sun Ting was about to get a cup, but Tang Ze poured the water onto the floor again. Even so, Sun Ting obediently licked it up.
“You’ve licked the floor shiny. Here’s a piece of pizza as a reward.”
He tossed a piece of pizza onto the floor.
Sun Ting would never have eaten such junk food before, afraid of gaining weight. But now, it was like a treasure, and she devoured it without any regard for her image.
“Sigh, you’re so dirty. Go take a shower.”
Sun Ting asked in surprise, “You have water for a shower?”
“Of course. Wash yourself clean, use plenty of shower gel.”
Sun Ting immediately ran into the bathroom. Sure enough, there was clean water. Without even bothering to close the door, she eagerly started washing. For her, not showering for a day was unbearable, let alone almost a week.
This scene was a treat for Tang Ze. A woman who could become a streamer naturally wouldn’t have bad looks.
After showering, Sun Ting realized the door was open and quickly closed it. A while later, she came out fully dressed.
“Um, I’ll go back now. Thank you.”
Sun Ting didn’t want to just offer herself up, and besides, this loser wasn’t like those other men. He couldn’t force her. What she had just done was compensation for the food.
Tang Ze smiled faintly. “Ate my food and now you want to leave just like that?”
“I’ve already… done that, and let you see…”
Sun Ting immediately reverted to her original demeanor. Tang Ze was very satisfied. He took out his black pistol.
Seeing the gun, Sun Ting froze, but then quickly laughed. “Is that a lighter? Or a water gun? Who are you trying to scare?”
Bang!
A gunshot. All the motion-sensor lights in the building turned on. Everyone in the complex was startled by the sound.
Who?
Who fired the gun?!
Someone actually has a gun!
Sun Ting’s face was pale. Broken decorative pieces fell to the floor. This was the real deal.
