I Raise Goddesses in the Apocalypse 13

Chapter 13: You Rob Me, I Rob You, That’s Fair

“It’s me, Zhou Min from the complex’s property management.”

Sun Ting remembered her now. She looked vaguely familiar. Whatever. “What’s the matter?”

“Well, we’re all women. Moving the bodies took a lot of energy, and Dong Fei always exploited us. We barely had anything to eat. Could you give us some food?”

Zhou Min waited nervously for Sun Ting’s answer.

Sun Ting couldn’t make this decision. She looked back at Tang Ze.

Tang Ze had his hands on An Bai’s slender waist. An Bai closed her eyes and leaned back slightly, a soft moan escaping her lips.

“One slice of bread each.”

Tang Ze, in a good mood, showed some mercy.

Sun Ting nodded and opened a box of Three Squirrels bread, the kind with egg yolk filling.

One slice per person.

“Alright, go now.”

Sun Ting’s gaze grew impatient. Don’t interrupt me pleasing Tang Ze. Look at An Bai, working so hard.

However, Zhou Min stopped the closing door with her hand and said shamelessly, “Can we have both boxes?”

Sun Ting’s expression darkened.

Tang Ze frowned, his grip subconsciously tightening. An Bai hissed and opened her eyes.

“Bai, take a break.”

An Bai, startled, thought something was wrong and gently rested her head on Tang Ze’s chest.

Tang Ze looked at the doorway and asked, “What did you just say?”

Facing Tang Ze, Zhou Min was still scared, but remembering that he seemed to avoid killing women, she grew a little bolder.

“Your name is Tang Ze, right? You even delivered food to my place before.”

Zhou Min immediately tried to establish a connection, but her flattery was clumsy and misplaced.

“Oh, you’re from property management.”

Tang Ze gave a friendly smile again.

Seeing Tang Ze so docile, she became even bolder. “Well, you see, there are so many supplies here. Could you give us two boxes? You can’t possibly finish all of this.”

“That sounds reasonable.”

Tang Ze nodded. Zhou Min was overjoyed.

“We’ll just take a little, not too much.”

Tang Ze remained silent. Zhou Min took his silence as agreement and pushed Sun Ting aside. Sun Ting lost her balance and fell, wanting to cry from the pain. She looked at Tang Ze, who was just watching with a smile.

“Old Li, there are spicy strips here! Carry them away!”

“There are even french fries! Help me! And duck necks, chicken wings, so much!”

“Take this box too!”

The women began an endless hauling of supplies.

Tang Ze patted An Bai. An Bai bit her lip and looked at him, her eyes filled with desire.

Tang Ze walked over and smiled. “Still moving things?”

“Well, you can’t finish all this anyway. There’s another box here, hurry up!”

Zhou Min replied to Tang Ze while urging her companions to carry the supplies. Her greedy expression made Sun Ting want to vomit.

She and An Bai had paid a price for their food and water, while these women just wanted to get something for nothing. How despicable!

Half of the supplies in the apartment were piled up outside the door.

Zhou Min clapped her hands and smiled. “Don’t worry, young man, we’ll remember this. When things are safe again, we’ll definitely help you cover up the murders.”

“I should thank you then.”

Tang Ze laughed.

“No need, no need. We’re all neighbors in the same complex, it’s fate. If there’s nothing else, we’ll be going now.”

Tang Ze scratched his head and said sullenly, “You robbed me of so much stuff, and you’re just leaving like that? Isn’t that a bit inappropriate, auntie?”

“How can you talk like that, young man? We didn’t rob you, we took it.”

Zhou Min immediately put on a condescending, elder’s demeanor.

“Just to be clear, I didn’t agree to you taking anything. My kitties can testify.”

Sun Ting nodded immediately. An Bai, sitting on the floor, nodded along.

“You, you’re unreasonable! Let’s go, don’t bother with them.”

Zhou Min waved her hand, not wanting to talk to Tang Ze any longer, seemingly forgetting how easily he had killed earlier.

Tang Ze sighed, pulled out his pistol, and smiled. “Alright, then it’s my turn to rob you.”

Bang!

The bullet pierced through the back of Zhou Min’s head. She fell forward, blood slowly oozing out, her eyes wide open.

The women outside were waiting for the elevator, smiles on their faces, when they suddenly heard the gunshot and saw Zhou Min collapse. The sight of the back of her head was horrifying.

Then they saw Tang Ze walking out with a smile, a black pistol in his hand. Silence fell instantly.

“You rob me, I rob you. It’s all about fairness.”

Finally, one woman reacted. Her first instinct wasn’t to run, but to scream.

“Ah!!!”

Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang.

A series of gunshots echoed through Building Three. Everyone in the complex was filled with panic, not knowing what was happening.

Building Four.

“Boss, Boss! Gunshots in Building Three!!!”

“I’m not deaf, I heard it!”

Ding Feng said in a deep voice, holding his girlfriend.

His girlfriend smiled. “I wonder if the delivery guy was killed.”

Ding Feng speculated, “Very likely. The one with the gun must have been waiting for the right moment. He probably doesn’t have much ammo. As soon as the delivery guy took out Dong Fei’s men, he jumped out.”

Many agreed with Ding Feng’s speculation; it was highly possible.

“Brother Feng, should we go take a look?”

His girlfriend suggested.

“Let’s wait a couple of days.”

Ding Feng was still cautious.

Meanwhile, on the 28th floor of Building One, in Apartment 2801.

“Sister, gunshots again.”

A 25-year-old woman stood by the window, looking out, her bright eyes filled with fear.

This woman possessed an indescribable beauty. Her features seemed to be meticulously sculpted by nature, with both the demureness of an Oriental woman and the sharp features of a Westerner. Her eyes revealed intelligence and gentleness. Although many days had passed, her white dress was still clean and pristine.

As a gentle breeze blew, the hem of her dress swayed slightly, giving her a melancholic air. It was a pity that her beautiful figure was hidden by the white dress, but one could still discern her attractive waist and shapely hips.

In the kitchen was a woman in her fifties, her face lined with wrinkles, slightly overweight. But from her features, one could see that she had been as beautiful as her younger sister in her youth. Now, however, she was past her prime.

The older sister was Ye Yuling, the younger sister Ye Qingyi.

They were biological sisters, born years apart because their parents had wanted a son later in life, but ended up with another daughter.
