Chapter 52: I’m a Vibe of Delicate Weakness (21)
Si Xu stood in front of the bathroom mirror, looking at her reflection in the moonlight. She lit a small flame on her fingertip, and she didn’t know if it was the firelight or if her cheeks were actually that flushed.
She realized that every time she was at a loss, it was because of Jiang Zhiyan.
Si Xu lingered in the bathroom for a long time, but she couldn’t possibly shower until tomorrow morning. She glanced at the time and left, slowly walking back to the room.
The warm yellow light seeping from under the door seemed to hint at something.
Her mind was filled with Jiang Zhiyan.
Si Xu stood at the door, not having thought about what to say or how to phrase it after she went in. Her mind seemed to have stopped working, only seeing Jiang Zhiyan’s parted lips and beautiful back.
She placed her hand on the doorknob.
Jiang Zhiyan sat cross-legged on the bed, her chin resting on her hand: “How long is she going to mentally prepare herself, she clearly wants to.”
“You think everyone is like you.” The system scoffed. “It’s her first time, it’s normal to be shy.”
Jiang Zhiyan glanced at the finger cots on the floor.
Si Xu walked in and, once again, her body moved faster than her mind as she locked the door.
She sighed softly.
What was she even doing?
Just as Si Xu was about to speak, she saw the item in the drawer, very conspicuous, and her eyes widened slightly.
“It fell out on its own, I didn’t go through your closet.”
Si Xu managed to say: “I know…”
It was precisely because she knew that she felt so awkward.
“I, um, just grabbed it randomly at the time.” Si Xu said.
“I know, it’s the apocalypse, can’t be picky about styles.” Jiang Zhiyan nodded understandingly.
“Host, are you sure that’s what Si Xu meant?” The system asked.

“Why aren’t you gone yet?”
“I’m just an AI.”
“Then leave.” Jiang Zhiyan was speechless.
“Host, are you sure you don’t need me? I have many instructional video resources here.”
“Get lost.”
The system retreated.
Jiang Zhiyan looked at Si Xu, whose face was flushed crimson. She massaged her temples, hesitated for a few seconds, then picked up the item from the drawer and sat on the edge of the bed.
“Senior.” Jiang Zhiyan moved closer, leaning against Si Xu’s back and feeling her stiffen. “Senior, I want to wash my hands.”
Si Xu raised her hand, and the trash can flew over. Jiang Zhiyan carefully washed her hands. Si Xu watched, Jiang Zhiyan’s hands were beautiful, even with the calluses, her fingers long and slender, she never kept her nails long, her fingertips rounded.
Water flowed down her fingers and into the trash can.
“It’s not good to cut your nails so short.” Si Xu looked away and said.
“I… I like it this way.”
“Senior.” Jiang Zhiyan called again.
Si Xu turned her head, and Jiang Zhiyan leaned in, their lips meeting.
What happened next was somewhat beyond Si Xu’s expectations.
She didn’t understand how things turned out this way.
She looked at the ceiling with hazy eyes, their two shadows cast upon it, intertwined and overlapping.
Jiang Zhiyan focused intently on eating the cream cake, particularly fond of the cherries on top, but reluctant to swallow them, just nibbling on them.
A small boat drifted on the river, the water overflowing, filling the boat. Si Xu felt like her consciousness was sinking. Jiang Zhiyan’s hand reached for the canopy, lifting the curtain and carefully peering inside, searching for leaks, seemingly trying to stop the water from coming in, but the river water gushed in again.
Si Xu covered her face, letting out a soft gasp, then covered her mouth.
Jiang Zhiyan looked at Si Xu’s face. She loved her expression right now, no longer her usual calm demeanor. Perhaps there was still some rationality left, but it was about to be swallowed by emotions.
Waves crashed against the boat, Si Xu’s breathing becoming more and more rapid.
Her head felt heavy, and she lowered it slightly, looking at Jiang Zhiyan lying beneath her.
The boat drifted on the river for half the night.
Si Xu still felt like it shouldn’t be like this, but she suddenly realized that she hadn’t been in control since she met Jiang Zhiyan. She was completely captivated by Jiang Zhiyan.
Si Xu didn’t wake up until an hour later the next morning, resulting in all three of them being late. Every morning, they relied on Si Xu to wake them up.
Actually, Jiang Zhiyan woke up early today, but she didn’t wake Si Xu.
“I can’t believe you actually overslept.” Qian Rongrong looked at Si Xu in shock. “Are you even the Si Xu I know?”
“What time did you come back last night? Were you that tired?” Qian Rongrong continued to ask.
Noticing Si Xu’s flushed ears and Jiang Zhiyan, still smiling despite being punished with running, Qian Rongrong froze for three seconds, then suddenly realized something.
She widened her eyes slightly, noticing the red mark on Si Xu’s neck, seemingly man-made.

“Heeheehee.” Qian Rongrong gave a knowing smile.
The others looked at the three being punished with running, confused.
“Are they crazy?”
“Why are they happy about being punished with running?”

“You two last night…” Qian Rongrong asked tentatively, raising an eyebrow.
Si Xu sped up to get past Qian Rongrong, but Qian Rongrong transformed into a leopard and caught up. It was clear Si Xu really wanted to kick her.
Jiang Zhiyan almost laughed: “Don’t bother her.”
“Wait a minute…” Qian Rongrong looked at the finger marks on Jiang Zhiyan’s neck. “Tsk, did I actually ship the wrong pairing? I actually shipped the wrong pairing one day? But I guess it’s not that surprising.”
Si Xu couldn’t resist and kicked Qian Rongrong, but Qian Rongrong wasn’t the same Qian Rongrong as before. She nimbly dodged the kick and transformed from a leopard into an eagle in a second.
“Hahaha, didn’t expect that, did you?” Qian Rongrong laughed triumphantly, circling Si Xu twice.
Jiang Zhiyan caught up and asked pitifully: “Senior, do you regret it?”
“No.” Si Xu replied. “I’m just still a bit surprised.”
Hearing Jiang Zhiyan’s voice, her mind replayed the events of last night, and she felt a flush of heat, tugging at her collar.
She remembered she had the upper hand initially, but it felt like she went soft the moment Jiang Zhiyan touched her. She touched her right ear uncomfortably, then quickly pulled her hand away.
Si Xu looked at Jiang Zhiyan, who blinked innocently.

The original male lead was nowhere to be seen, avoiding them whenever he saw them, practically running halfway across the base to get away from them. Since he was so tactful, Jiang Zhiyan didn’t bother him either. They were just colleagues, peacefully coexisting.

The person handing over tasks quickly ran away.

But since Si Xu closed her eyes, it naturally meant she wanted to continue kissing, Jiang Zhiyan didn’t understand any other meaning.
Si Xu’s hand on Jiang Zhiyan’s arm tightened slightly, but she didn’t push Jiang Zhiyan away, more like a sign of excitement.
