“What do you want to buy?” Jiang Zhiyan asked.
“Just looking around,” Yu Qici said. “Since you’re so confident that I can’t escape, why are you so unwilling to tell me anything?”
“Because there’s only risk and no reward for me in telling you, a completely losing proposition, why should I?” Jiang Zhiyan pinched Yu Qici’s mouth. “Just focus on shopping.”
Yu Qici swatted Jiang Zhiyan’s hand away and glared at her. Jiang Zhiyan released Yu Qici’s mouth, only putting down her hand after confirming she wouldn’t bring up any more unpleasant topics.

“There are so many strange books,” Yu Qici said, looking at the titles on the shelves, many names were familiar to her. “These people can publish books?”
She traced the authors’ names with her finger.
“At least they’ve accomplished something, not complete layabouts.”
“I’ve heard about it before, I didn’t expect anyone to actually do it, and they’re not even embarrassed.” Yu Qici picked up a book, flipped through it, and put it back. “They definitely hired ghostwriters.”
Jiang Zhiyan smiled and picked out a pile of books, each title making Yu Qici feel like she was being mocked.

“You read a wide variety of books.”
