Female Lead Was Coaxed Away by the Villain Again [Quick Transmigration] 107

Chapter 107: I Want To Do As I Please (9)

“What time is it?” Yu Qici asked the robot beside her.

“15:27.”

“Okay.” Yu Qici responded, opened her terminal, and felt slightly relieved not seeing any news about Jiang Zhiyan being arrested. “When is she coming back?”

“Master didn’t say,” the robot replied.

Yu Qici tapped the table twice: “Did she leave in a hurry, or was it a planned departure?”

“I apologize, I don’t know, I’m a robot responsible for your care.”

Yu Qici frowned: “Then ask the other networked robots.”

“Perhaps I can contact Master directly for you,” the robot continued.

“No need,” Yu Qici leaned back in the recliner and continued browsing the news on her terminal. After two minutes, she spoke again, “If possible, inform her to return before dinner.”

“Yes.”

Jiang Zhiyan had finished designing the mech and started preparing to leave the imperial star.

If she was lucky, she could leave safely without being exposed. If she was unlucky and discovered, she would have to fight her way out, which wasn’t a big problem. Androids, robots, and unmanned mechs could become her army at any time, after all, they would never recall and destroy these things.

“Master, Miss Yu requests your return for dinner before dinner,” the AI assistant reported.

“Did she say anything else?” Jiang Zhiyan asked.

The AI assistant repeated Yu Qici’s words.

“Tsk.” Jiang Zhiyan didn’t comment, just a simple interjection, but the System could clearly sense her mood improving, her lips curving into a wide smile, unrestrained.

The System felt that Jiang Zhiyan was becoming easier and easier to please. She had been sulking just now, and now, just a simple request for her to return before dinner, and she was beaming.

“Are you leaving?” the System asked teasingly.

“No, I’ll return just before dinner.”

The System chuckled sarcastically: “I don’t know if it’ll hurt her, but it’ll definitely backfire on you.”

Jiang Zhiyan ignored it, adjusting the mech’s parameters and confirming the materials for each part.

“Have it manufactured within two months,” Jiang Zhiyan said.

“Guaranteed to complete the mission!”

Jiang Zhiyan leisurely made herself a cup of tea, her gaze fixed on the time display not far away. As soon as it reached 5:30, she stood up and walked out.

“Tsk tsk tsk,” the System mocked.

Jiang Zhiyan directly muted it, checked Yu Qici’s location, and slowly flew over in a transport vehicle.

Yu Qici had spent the entire day in the garden. Jiang Zhiyan observed her route, she basically just strolled around, then returned to the lakeside to rest.

Jiang Zhiyan instructed the housekeeping robot to deliver dinner to the lakeside and went to find Yu Qici herself.

When she found Yu Qici, the latter was examining a tree, her expression serious, her hand carefully tracing the tree trunk.

“That tree doesn’t have any mechanisms,” Jiang Zhiyan said.

Yu Qici’s hand paused, and she turned to look at Jiang Zhiyan: “I was just observing the tree, after all, it’s quite boring here.”

“So what did you observe?” Jiang Zhiyan looked at the tree.

“It’s a good tree,” Yu Qici said, putting down her hand, not seeing anything wrong with her answer. “What did you do today?”

“I brought back the plants from my office,” Jiang Zhiyan said, looking at Yu Qici, who got onto the transport vehicle without hesitation, seemingly unconcerned. “You know, when I hate a place, I don’t want to leave anything behind.”

Yu Qici observed Jiang Zhiyan’s expression: “Did something happen?”

“Why are you asking? Will you comfort me?” Jiang Zhiyan avoided the question, not wanting an answer, she looked into Yu Qici’s eyes and changed the subject. “We’re having dinner by the lake today.”

“Okay,” Yu Qici replied. “I always feel like you have high expectations of me, but sometimes not so much, it’s very inconsistent.”

Jiang Zhiyan responded, but didn’t answer.

“Why?” Yu Qici asked.

“You should ask yourself that question,” Jiang Zhiyan looked at Yu Qici. “I might be very busy in the future.”

“Then why did you bring me here?”

Jiang Zhiyan smiled: “Because I’m a pervert, I’d rather have you idle here than see you busy with other people. If nothing unexpected happens, we’ll be leaving the imperial star in three months, let me know if you need anything during this time.”

“Will I be able to move freely then?”

“It depends,” Jiang Zhiyan said.

“Then where are we going? I don’t think your relationship with the Stargazers is that good.”

“Wherever, no one will be able to find us,” Jiang Zhiyan looked into Yu Qici’s eyes.

“Then I want to go shopping at the Imperial Star Plaza tonight,” Yu Qici said, pretending not to understand her hint.

Jiang Zhiyan looked at Yu Qici and chuckled: “You never learn.”

“What do you mean?”

Jiang Zhiyan thought for two seconds, then said lightly: “I’m praising you, praising your adventurous spirit, your inquisitive nature, and your unwillingness to bow to fate.”

Yu Qici twitched the corner of her mouth: “No one can beat you at being sarcastic, just speak normally.”

“Let’s eat.”

Everything was ready by the lake. The housekeeping robot had even creatively decorated the area, making it look dreamlike.

Yu Qici raised an eyebrow, and the two sat down facing each other.

“We’ll go shopping after we eat.”

“We can really go out?” Yu Qici was a little surprised and kindly reminded her, “Many people know me.”

“Yes, they know of Yu Qici, but they might not recognize you as Yu Qici on sight, right?” Jiang Zhiyan picked up a piece of meat. “This dish is delicious, try it.”

Yu Qici stared at Jiang Zhiyan for a few seconds, thinking about her collar, she didn’t understand how Jiang Zhiyan could create so many strange things.

“Actually, I have something to ask, did you used to monitor me?” Jiang Zhiyan raised an eyebrow.

Yu Qici’s expression flickered for a moment, it was a simple question, but she thought for a long time: “Maybe, maybe not, I don’t remember. I was originally planning to take another route, but I changed it at the last minute, it was strange.”

“To be honest, I might have a mental illness, I’m not always normal, if you mind, I suggest you let me go,” Yu Qici said sincerely, but her tone was light, as if she was joking.

“Why do you think you have a mental illness? Didn’t you go for a checkup?” Jiang Zhiyan’s smile deepened.

“I did, they said I was normal, just overthinking things. But sometimes I feel out of control, like a strong subconscious is dictating my actions,” Yu Qici stared at Jiang Zhiyan, her expression calm, seemingly not bothered by this at all. “I enjoy fighting against that subconscious.”

“Then what does your subconscious want to do now?” Jiang Zhiyan asked, leaning closer. “Your eyes tell me you want to kiss me.”

“It’s my subconscious, not me.”

“But your subconscious is your truest desire,” Jiang Zhiyan looked at her intently.

“Then it’s probably not that strong, because I can still control it, if I really couldn’t, the person sitting here might not be me,” Yu Qici said, looking at the change in Jiang Zhiyan’s expression, and couldn’t help but laugh. “Let’s eat.”

Jiang Zhiyan refused to communicate with her further: “How can someone be so difficult?”

“It has to be Xie Liaoyi,” the System said with emotion, both distressed and amused.

Jiang Zhiyan also muted the System, she didn’t want to talk to it either, none of them were good!

If she were younger, this situation would be enough for her to write eight hundred angst-filled, melodramatic novels.

After dinner, the two left in the aircraft. Jiang Zhiyan sat in the pilot seat, silent, playing the role of a quiet chauffeur.

“Since you’re angry, you can just pretend you didn’t say those things,” Yu Qici said, resting her chin on her hand and looking at Jiang Zhiyan’s profile, her gloom clearly visible. “Are you still taking me shopping even though you’re so angry?”

“There’s no other way, I can’t go back on my promises,” Jiang Zhiyan said self-deprecatingly, looking straight ahead. She took a deep breath, felt a gentle touch on her cheek, froze for two seconds, and turned to look at Yu Qici.

Yu Qici had already sat back down, arms crossed, her usual calm and self-assured demeanor.

“It seems you still care about me a little,” Yu Qici explained, gesturing slightly.

“A little?” Jiang Zhiyan snorted. “I’ve made a note of it.”

“Hm? You’re a grown-up, and you still keep a grudge notebook?” Yu Qici was surprised.

Jiang Zhiyan nodded: “We’ll settle the score when you remember.”

“I’m so scared,” Yu Qici said dramatically, clutching her chest.

Jiang Zhiyan ignored her, she had a long lifespan, she could wait.

Imperial Star Plaza was crowded. Jiang Zhiyan searched several parking areas before finding an empty spot.

Yu Qici followed Jiang Zhiyan off the spaceship. She had originally wanted to check the parking area for any familiar spaceships, but she couldn’t get too far away from Jiang Zhiyan.

She felt like an NPC in a game, her movement restricted.

“How did you do it?” Yu Qici didn’t understand.

Jiang Zhiyan looked at Yu Qici: “I wouldn’t casually tell anyone about this kind of thing.”

“I thought we were more than just ‘anyone’.”

Jiang Zhiyan sneered and glanced at Yu Qici: “You’re really thick-skinned, why didn’t I notice this before? You just took the initiative to kiss me.”

“Maybe you have bad eyesight,” Yu Qici said, confidently taking Jiang Zhiyan’s arm and looking at the passersby. “What do I look like to them?”

“An ordinary Omega,” Jiang Zhiyan said.

“A visual interference system? But current visual interference systems are very unstable, I’ve also tried installing such a system on mechs before, it’s easily disrupted by other systems.”

“Mm,” Jiang Zhiyan nodded.

Yu Qici looked at Jiang Zhiyan, she had wanted to start a conversation and get Jiang Zhiyan to explain, but Jiang Zhiyan didn’t take the bait.
