Citrus Love Little Green Tea 5

5. The Heart-Shaped Omurice

After the bath, Xia Zhibai dressed Ruo Xiaoxi in a new outfit.

It was a white shirt and black skirt JK uniform, with a small pink tie at the chest.

Ruo Xiaoxi looked particularly good in white stockings. Her slender legs carried off the style perfectly. Paired with the JK uniform, she looked even more pure and innocent, making it hard not to be charmed.

“It’s getting late. Why don’t you… stay the night at my place…?”

“Huh? Stay at Sister Xia’s house? Then, then will I be… again tonight!?”

“No! I, I’ll see how you’re feeling. If you want… I was too angry today, and you were being so flippant, just adding fuel to the fire. I couldn’t control myself and pushed you down…”

Come to think of it, Xia Zhibai had bought this little dress for Ruo Xiaoxi on their last shopping trip together.

At the time, Xia Zhibai, deeply infatuated, had really wanted to give her a dress, but Ruo Xiaoxi refused to accept it. In the end, Xia Zhibai insisted on buying it for her with her own money.

Xia Zhibai could be described as a rich, beautiful, and young lady. She had previously wondered if Ruo Xiaoxi was only getting close to her because of her family’s wealth, but it seemed that wasn’t the case…

Ruo Xiaoxi didn’t seem like a gold-digging green tea girl. She refused to accept expensive gifts, saying that she simply liked Xia Zhibai and didn’t want these things.

At that time, no one could imagine how deeply moved Xia Zhibai was, instantly falling head over heels in love.

She really wanted to hold such a sweet little cutie in her arms and shower her with affection, rubbing her face against hers. And today, she had finally gotten her wish, experiencing Ruo Xiaoxi’s most beautiful side.

But were those words of affection… truly genuine?

Xia Zhibai felt tired and decided to stop thinking about it for now. She would talk to Xiaoxi properly later. Perhaps they hadn’t communicated enough, leading to a small rift in their relationship.

Xia Zhibai had spent a whole week at home doing homework. Back then, she was busy trying to finish it so she could take Ruo Xiaoxi out to have fun. But now that she thought about it…

Maybe that was when she had been a little negligent, not caring enough for Xiaoxi.

Making Xiaoxi feel lonely, allowing other girls to take advantage of the situation. But this was her first time in a relationship with a girl. Xia Zhibai also felt a little lost, but she was determined to do her best.

Xia Zhibai was a thoughtful girl, often overthinking things.

Ruo Xiaoxi watched Sister Xia tying on an apron in the kitchen, making omurice for her. She didn’t think so much. She, she had a clear conscience! This little rascal didn’t care about these things!

She wasn’t Xia Zhibai’s girlfriend. Since they weren’t girlfriends, there was no such thing as cheating or betrayal, right? It’s just… was Sister Xia being a little too good to her…?

Well, she had given Xia Zhibai a taste of sweetness today. No, it wasn’t just a small dessert; it was a whole cake. She had packaged herself as a cake, letting Xia Zhibai savor her most delicious flavors.

It was a way to repay her kindness…

“Just wait a little longer, I’ll be done soon. You can watch some TV. There’s fruit on the coffee table, all washed. Help yourself.”

Xia Zhibai poked her head out of the kitchen, worried that Ruo Xiaoxi would be bored waiting alone.

Ruo Xiaoxi nodded. “Okay.”

But just ten minutes later, when Xia Zhibai emerged from the kitchen with a steaming plate of omurice, wearing oven mitts, she stared at the empty sofa in a daze…

“Ruo Xiaoxi, Ruo Xiaoxi? Where are you…?”

She slowly placed the omurice on the dining table, checked the bedroom, and then the bathroom, but couldn’t find Ruo Xiaoxi anywhere.

When she returned to the doorway, the little white shoes were gone…

She hurriedly opened the door and saw that the elevator had stopped on the first floor. Ruo Xiaoxi had snuck away while she was making the omurice.

Xia Zhibai stood at the door for a long time before slowly closing it.

On the coffee table, she found a small note left by Ruo Xiaoxi, weighed down by a pen. It was for her, written in neat handwriting:

[Sister Xia, thank you for taking such good care of me.]
[Giving me a bath and making me food]
[Made me feel like you were my real older sister.]
[You really don’t have to be so good to me.]
[I won’t be staying over tonight, I’m going home.]
[- Ruo Xiaoxi]

Holding the note, Xia Zhibai sat down at the dining table and read it over and over again. She looked back at the omurice on the table and pouted.

“What the heck, you could have at least told me you were leaving. At least, eat the omurice…”

Xia Zhibai looked down at the heart drawn on the omurice with ketchup, at the name “Ruo Xiaoxi” written on it. Resting her chin in her hands, she stared blankly into space…

Finally, she sighed and ate the omurice herself. She hadn’t had dinner either. She had planned to make dinner for Ruo Xiaoxi, watch her eat her fill, hear her praise her cooking, and see her happy smile.

Since Ruo Xiaoxi had already left, she might as well eat it herself.

Meanwhile, downstairs, Ruo Xiaoxi glanced back at the building where Xia Zhibai lived, then headed towards her own home. She felt a little guilty for leaving without saying goodbye.

But because tonight—if she remembered correctly—

Ruo Xiaoxi’s vampire loli sister seemed to be coming back to see her.

She had to go back.
