29. A Sister Transformed, Awe-Inspiring
At the Tian Tan City high-speed rail station, the gates slid open, and a young woman emerged.
Dressed in a light, mint-blue chiffon dress, she lifted a delicate white hand from the lace-trimmed, bell-shaped sleeves and gracefully opened a parasol.
Her other hand pulled a suitcase. She planned to stay with her brother for a couple of days, so she had packed a few changes of clothes. His apartment wasn’t big, but it had two bedrooms.
“Is this the right stop? It’s so hot…” Stepping out of the air-conditioned train car, Ruo Tianxin felt sweat beading on her forehead, regretting the long-sleeved dress.
Summer is such a seductive little imp, always tempting girls to wear less and less.
Honestly, in this heat, my brother couldn’t even come pick me up? He hung up the phone so quickly, didn’t even let me finish.
Ruo Tianxin frowned slightly, a little annoyed.
Thankfully, she knew her brother’s address and how to get there.
Her ivory-white legs were particularly eye-catching in the summer heat, drawing lingering glances. Ruo Tianxin crossed her legs and sat down on a bench in the shade of a tree, waiting for a taxi.
While she waited, she took out a compact mirror and checked her reflection, smoothing her slightly windblown bangs and pursing her lips.
Well, I still look pretty.
But the thought of putting so much effort into her appearance just to visit her brother made her feel a little silly.
They saw each other every day at home; it never seemed to matter before.
Being apart for a while made her want to look nice for her brother. Perhaps this is a girl’s inherent love of beauty. But her brother would probably be at home in his boxers, looking like a slob.
Ruo Tianxin smoothed her skirt and bent down to tighten the laces of her white sneakers. She had loved playing jianzi (shuttlecock) as a child and had always preferred sneakers with slightly elevated soles.
Once in the taxi, she considered calling her brother again, but then put her phone away.
She had already told him she was coming, and she would be there soon.
She would surprise him. His little sister suddenly appearing at his door, looking so beautiful. She could already imagine his surprised and flustered expression. A sister transformed, awe-inspiring!
………………
Meanwhile, back at the apartment, Ruo Xiaoxi was in a race against time, panicking about what to do when her sister arrived, or rather, what her sister would do when she saw her!
Ruo Xiaoxi frantically looked for a closet to hide in.
Hiding a beauty in a golden house… and that beauty is me.
After a moment of self-imposed confinement in the closet, she realized it wasn’t a solution. Her sister had traveled all this way; she couldn’t just shut the door on her. She couldn’t avoid her forever.
And her protective instincts as an older brother kicked in. Although her sister was older now and capable of traveling alone to a different city, she still worried and wanted her to arrive safely.
This conflicting desire for her sister to arrive quickly yet also hoping for a delay made Ruo Xiaoxi so anxious she had to use the bathroom. After sending a quick message to Lan Yinuo, she ended the video call and dashed to the toilet, legs crossed.
Lan Yinuo, eating lunch, felt her phone vibrate. She checked the message and saw that Ruo Xiaoxi’s sister was visiting, so they would play games later.
So Xiaoxi has a younger sister, Lan Yinuo thought as she chewed her food, replying with an “Okay.” But if her sister was visiting, maybe they could all play together.
“What am I going to do…?”
Ruo Xiaoxi sat in the bathroom, clutching her phone, watching the minutes tick by, her anxiety growing. How was she going to explain this to her sister?
Her brother had suddenly turned into a girl; what would Tianxin think…?
Staring at the white panties pooled around her ankles, she thought hard, and finally, calmed down, pulling them up and standing up straight.
There’s nothing to panic about. Your brother just turned into a girl, that’s all. This is a test for your sister. As long as you act calm and collected, the one who’ll feel the pressure is Ruo Tianxin.
If you can’t solve the problem, just shift the problem to your sister!
Anyway, her sister was a guest, so she should tidy up the place first.
A clean and organized home would lift everyone’s spirits.
Ruo Xiaoxi gathered the clothes hanging on the chair and tossed them into the washbasin. Living alone, she didn’t have a washing machine and usually hand-washed her clothes; it wasn’t a big deal.
She mopped the floor, rearranged the scattered cushions on the sofa, and placed a vase of flowers on the coffee table, trying to create the illusion of a refined young lady.
As for lewd manga or strange tissues, Ruo Xiaoxi didn’t have any, nor did she know where to get them.
She hadn’t needed them lately! She had been spending all her time with Sister Xia, and when she was alone, she… she hadn’t felt the need to indulge in such worldly desires.
Finally, she placed a pair of slippers in her sister’s favorite color by the door. Although this was her sister’s first time visiting, this was still home, a place where family resided. Calling it “coming home” wasn’t wrong.
After finishing her chores, she looked down at her simple T-shirt and panties. Just as she was about to go change into a dress…
The sound of a key turning in the lock echoed from the door.
Ruo Xiaoxi froze, holding the cleaning cloth, standing awkwardly by the entrance.
“Bro, I’m here! Come greet your little sister! My suitcase is heavy… Hmm—?”
As the door opened and Ruo Tianxin saw a beautiful, unfamiliar girl standing there, her eyes widened in disbelief, a long, drawn-out sound of questioning escaping her lips.
Her imaginative mind instantly conjured up a ten-thousand-word story.
—It’s okay, bro, I’ll help you raise your niece.
No, no, no, it’s too early! Too early!!!
Ruo Xiaoxi trembled, her face flushing crimson under her sister’s gaze.
Her eyes darted around like a startled rabbit, her hands clasped in front of her, her fingers fidgeting nervously.
The two beautiful girls stared at each other in silence, caught in the awkwardness of the moment.
