Chapter 23: Yan Zhen Tricks the Ghosts

Han Feng, the kind soul who had generously gifted him his Extreme Flame… oh wait, that was wrong. He was the scheming villain who had colluded with the Second and Third Shopkeepers, plotting against Ji Ya.

Although he was just a new instructor at the Hundred Mile City Mystic Academy, he had the backing of the Sacred Ground Academy.

If Yan Zhen had chopped off his hand and stolen his Extreme Flame, he would face retaliation from Han Feng and his allies when he went to the Sacred Ground Academy for further studies. Along with Instructor Yu Xuan’s pursuer, they would form his early external pressure, forcing him to train diligently.

But Han Feng still had a role to play at the Sacred Ground Academy. Why was he suddenly dead?

He glanced at Ji Ya, finding her equally surprised.

    “What are you talking about?”

Ji Ya was annoyed. She had planned to spend another day with Yan Zhen before returning to her duties, handling the Chamber’s affairs. Time was precious. She didn’t have time for this nonsense.

“Barging into Elegant Courtyard, breaking down the door… Do you think I have no temper, old men?”

Aunt Mu was already standing before the two Shopkeepers, her Ninth Star Mystic King aura radiating outwards, her gaze fixed on them. Any hostile action would be met with her full force.

Jin Tong and Yu Nu also drew their swords, flanking Ji Ya. They were only Mystic Masters, but their combined Mystic Power resonated, their strength amplifying.

    The atmosphere grew tense.

“What? Do you want to kill us too, Head Shopkeeper? Then come!” The Second Shopkeeper’s pointy face was cold, his anger evident. “I’d like to see how far you’re willing to go, you lawless tyrant!”

The Third Shopkeeper, his chubby face red with fury, his flabby cheeks trembling, also shouted, “Instructor Han Feng is from the Sacred Ground Academy! You… You killed him! Are you trying to make the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce an enemy of the Sacred Ground Academy? You… You’re a traitor!”

This doesn’t seem like an act… Yan Zhen was suspicious. “Are you saying Han Feng is really dead? How did he die? He didn’t die of heartbreak from losing his hand, did he? It’s not like he lost a wing. What’s the big deal?”

“Shut up!” The Second Shopkeeper roared. “It’s you, you heartless little brat! You poisoned your sword, chopped off his hand, and then took his life! You’re a murderer!”

    — What the hell?! How dare you slander me!

If he wasn’t weaker than the Second Shopkeeper, he would have slapped him silly.

    — I’m a dedicated actor! I would never sabotage the plot! You’re questioning my professionalism!

“You said… poison?” Ji Ya caught the key word. “Was Han Feng poisoned?”

“Don’t play dumb!” The Third Shopkeeper shouted. “You must have ordered that boy to do it! You’re trying to prevent us from using Han Feng to connect with the Sacred Ground Academy! You’re despicable and ruthless, Ji Ya!”

    He was actually poisoned?

Yan Zhen and Ji Ya exchanged glances, then both turned to Yi Xian’er, finding her calmly eating, completely unaffected by the commotion, as if they were invisible.

    — No… No way… She’s only a Mystic Adept! Her poison only works on those below the Mystic Scholar realm, and it’s usually not lethal, unless… unless she infused it with Yin energy, creating a deadly Yin poison!

Recalling her “Queen of a Thousand Yins” aura from last night, he felt a cold sweat break out. He asked hesitantly, “Did the poison… contain Yin energy?”

The Second Shopkeeper’s eyes narrowed. “How did you know the poison contained Yin energy? Hmph, admitting your guilt, are we?”

    It’s actually true!

He felt a headache coming on, glaring at Yi Xian’er. Why did you have to kill him? Was that really necessary?

Ji Ya also gave her a speechless look. Poisoning Han Feng to death, although satisfying, was clearly not the right time.

Seeing their silence, the Third Shopkeeper declared, “Murder must be repaid with life! Surrender yourselves now and come with us to the Hundred Mile City Mystic Academy to answer for your crimes! You too, Ji Ya! If you can’t obtain the Academy’s forgiveness, you must resign as Head Shopkeeper and sever all ties with the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, to avoid implicating us!”

Ji Ya frowned, about to argue, but Yan Zhen spoke first.

His expression was mocking, his gaze filled with disdain, as if he were looking at two idiots.

“I can’t believe you two, holding such high positions, yet your knowledge is so pathetic. You can’t even get something this simple right.”

His words enraged the two Shopkeepers. If not for Aunt Mu restraining them, they would have attacked him.

“You dare insult our knowledge?! You arrogant little brat!”

“Trying to make excuses, are we?”

He shrugged. “The duel yesterday should have been recorded. Just check the footage. I used my Extreme Flame to form a sword. How could I possibly poison it? The Gold and Silver Fire is pure Yang energy. You don’t think poison can be applied to a sword made of flames, do you? Your stupidity is astounding.”

“Sharp-tongued brat!” The Second Shopkeeper glared at him. “Who knows what insidious methods you used?”

The Third Shopkeeper also questioned him. “If you didn’t poison him, how did you know the poison contained Yin energy?”

“I guessed.” He said casually. “The Extreme Flame he tamed was the Phosphorus Fire, right? The Phosphorus Fire, also known as the weakest ghost fire, possesses a rare Yin attribute. It often carries traces of poison, miasma, and Yin energy.”

“What are you trying to say?”

“You’re not suggesting that Instructor Han Feng was poisoned by his own Phosphorus Fire, are you? Are you trying to trick us?!”

*Yes, I’m tricking you two bloodsucking capitalists!*

“I told you, your knowledge is pathetic.” He said calmly. “His Phosphorus Fire resided in his palm. When I severed his hand, he lost his connection to the flame. The residual fire within his body, uncontrolled, gradually poisoned him to death.”

    “Impossible!”

    “You think we’ll believe that?!”

“Believe what you want.” He chuckled. “Use your brains! A poison capable of killing a Mystic Master instantly would have to be at least a Tier 4 poison. If I possessed such a poison, do you think I would be talking to you like this? I would have killed you both already!”

The two Shopkeepers were speechless, their confidence wavering.

Yi Xian’er looked at him, her expression strange. He’s good at making things up.

He continued. “If you want to blame someone for Han Feng’s death, blame yourselves. If you hadn’t instigated this duel, I wouldn’t have been forced to sever his hand, and he wouldn’t have lost control of his Phosphorus Fire, ultimately dying from his own Extreme Flame… Oh, I get it! You’re afraid the Mystic Academy will blame you for his death, so you’re trying to shift the blame to me and Sister Ji Ya, right? Tsk tsk, how insidious. The world is truly going downhill.”

His words left them speechless, their faces alternating between pale and red. Ji Ya, amused, countered, “Is that true, gentlemen? What Little Brother Yan Zhen said?”

They felt a chill run down their spines.

Chapter 22: Han Feng is Dead

That sneaky Yi Xian’er, running away in the middle of our conversation! She’s so cunning!

Yan Zhen climbed out of the bath, feeling a bit resentful. He dried himself, then, instead of putting on the robe, changed into his own clothes.

At that moment, he heard the familiar chime of a completed task, the system interface appearing before him.

    “That was fast.”

Completing the task after just one… session was unexpected.

This meant Ji Ya was no longer in mortal danger. The remaining steps involved refining the residual medicinal energy within her body, which shouldn’t take as long as the month-long process described in the script.

After all, actual dual cultivation was more efficient than the medicinal bath method. It made sense.

[Special Trump Card – My Wings: Upon activation, temporarily borrows power from individuals who admire Host. The more individuals and the higher their cultivation levels, the stronger the borrowed power.]

    Hmm, this card is interesting…

    He was intrigued.

Many Special Trump Cards had limitations. For example, the “Overlord’s Aura” only affected those at the Mystic King realm or below, while “Money Talks” had a limit of 100 million Crystal Coins.

This “My Wings” card, however, had no such restrictions. Did that mean its power was theoretically unlimited?

And what constituted “admiration”? He had been quite popular at the Mystic Academy, with a bunch of fangirls. Did they count? Or did it have to be someone like Yan Meng’er or Yan Ruyu?

What about his Beautiful Sect Master? Did she count?

He could certainly feel her love for him, but “admiration” didn’t seem like the right word. “Affection,” “cherishment,” and “love” were more accurate.

If she counted, borrowing her power… that would be incredible!

He examined the card, but it didn’t specify how much power he could borrow.

Tsk, the system must have been coded by a half-assed programmer. They didn’t even bother writing in the numerical values. Typical!

In addition to the task reward, he also received a bonus Tier 2 Trump Card for breaking through to the Mystic Scholar realm, giving him a sense of security.

Pure Trump Cards were incredibly versatile, useful for both offense and defense, but he only received one per major realm. Upon reaching a new realm, the previous card would become unusable.

He stored both cards, then activated his Star Shifting Fire Seal, appearing before his Beautiful Sect Master on the altar.

    “Three Star Mystic Scholar?”

Even she was surprised. She had expected him to reach Two Star Mystic Scholar, just like in his previous life. The extra star must be related to Ji Ya’s condition.

That girl must have “opened” her cauldron for him, her heart unguarded, not only giving him her Yuan Yin, but also a portion of her cultivation.

After years of suppression, her dreams had finally come true, leading her to indulge, wanting to give him everything, to be completely possessed by him.

Chen Xi understood her feelings. She had nearly lost control herself during her first dual cultivation session with him.

“Rapid power growth can be difficult for the body to adjust to. You’ll need to practice to master it.” She pondered for a moment. “Speaking of which, I promised to teach you a flying movement technique once you reached the Mystic Scholar realm…”

    His eyes lit up.

“Are you going to teach me now, Master?”

She smiled. “I need to prepare some things first. Come back tomorrow, Zhen’er.”

He nodded eagerly, his heart pounding with excitement. Finally, I can fly!

Humans had always dreamed of soaring through the skies. Now, his dream was within reach!

    “Thank you, Master!”

She chuckled, stroking his head, then offered him a milky white pill.

He recognized it instantly. It was a pseudo-pill formed from her essence, tasting like condensed milk candy.

He obediently swallowed the pill, its rich medicinal energy replenishing his depleted reserves.

“You might be young, Zhen’er, but you still need to take care of your body. Don’t overindulge in pleasures.” She paused. “For the remaining month of treatment, just give her a drop of your… essence each day.”

    He blushed. “I understand, Master.”

He left the crystal space, emerging from the bathroom, returning to Ji Ya’s bedroom. The bed had been freshly made, all traces of their activities erased. Both women were already awake.

He opened the door, stepping out into the bright sunlight. Aunt Mu suddenly materialized before him, nearly scaring him out of his wits.

“Young Master Yan Zhen, breakfast is ready.”

“… Aunt Mu, you came to wake me up personally?”

“The servants have been dismissed. There’s no one else available at the moment. New servants will arrive tomorrow.”

“I see. Sister Ji Ya did mention there was a traitor among the servants.”

She studied him, muttering, “You advanced from Ninth Star Mystic Adept to Three Star Mystic Scholar in one go? You’re a monster.”

    He chuckled nervously.

He followed her to the dining hall, where Ji Ya and Yi Xian’er were already eating, Jin Tong and Yu Nu also present, munching on pills like squirrels.

“Good morning, Little Brother Yan Zhen. Congratulations on reaching the Mystic Scholar realm.”

Ji Ya’s demeanor was unchanged, but her gaze towards him had shifted. The hidden affection within it was more apparent now, a hint of passion, but not overwhelming.

She, however, had changed significantly. Having experienced her first taste of “womanhood,” her aura was even more alluring, a hint of springtime blossoming in her eyes, her features even more captivating.

Her red qipao hugged her hourglass figure, a perfect combination of angelic beauty and devilish curves, incredibly alluring. She truly was the “Beautiful Fox of Gold and Jade.”

“You advanced too, Sister Ji Ya?”

“Mmm, I woke up as a Two Star Mystic Master. I feel so much more energetic.”

“This is just the beginning. You’ve only refined about 30% of the medicinal energy. You should fully recover in about ten days.”

“So… will you continue my treatment tonight, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”

    “Y-yes.”

She smiled shyly, then fell silent.

He turned to Yi Xian’er, who seemed unconcerned, as if she had never abandoned him, her conscience clear.

“Stop standing there, Yan Zhen. Come eat.”

She offered him a piece of steak with her fork.

Seeing her indifferent demeanor, he decided to drop the subject. Even if he asked, she wouldn’t necessarily answer.

Before they finished breakfast, a loud crash echoed from outside. The Second and Third Shopkeepers barged in, their faces contorted with rage, pointing accusing fingers at Ji Ya.

“Ji Ya, you’re going to pay for this! You… You killed Instructor Han Feng! Do you even know his background at the Sacred Ground Academy?! You crazy woman!”

What background? It can’t be more impressive than Instructor Yu Xuan’s. What are they trying to– Wait, what did they say? “Killed” Instructor Han Feng?

“You’re saying Han Feng is dead?” He was shocked.

Chapter 21: Refining the Yuan Yin, Advancing to Mystic Scholar

[Ding! Friendly System Reminder: Host detected indulging excessively in desires…]

    Another warning from the System!

Yan Zhen sat up, feeling a bit annoyed.

Sandwiched between them, caught in their playful jostling, he had lost control, his actions deviating from the protagonist persona. He would have to work extra hard to compensate, engaging in more acts of showing off and rescuing damsels in distress.

The plot had already gone off the rails, making him anxious. If his persona crumbled further, there would be no point in continuing this act. He might as well just throw a grenade and be done with it.

“Don’t be angry, Little Brother. Older Sister was just teasing you.”

Ji Ya embraced him from behind, her tongue tracing a path along his neck, her demeanor clingy and affectionate, a stark contrast to her usual independent, strong-willed persona.

Having refined his essence, she was still brimming with energy. That was the advantage of a “cauldron physique.” With a bit of “nourishment,” she recovered quickly. She was the type who could endure countless defeats and still keep fighting.

He tilted his head, dodging her advances. If this continues, someone’s going to die! I accidentally poured in a bit too much just now. I hope I refined it all…

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to take responsibility, but now, for various reasons, it wasn’t the right time. He had to be careful.

“Sister Ji Ya, you should focus on regulating your breathing. Rapid power growth can be unstable. It’s best to harmonize your energy flow.”

She nuzzled his shoulder, savoring his warmth and the feel of his skin against hers, her voice soft and obedient, like a devoted wife.

“I understand, Little Brother. I’ll listen to you~”

She planted a kiss on his shoulder, then released him.

Unable to resist her charm, he glanced at the two women, then said, “I’m going to take a bath. You two should clean up.”

“Little Brother Yan Zhen, do you want a servant to attend to you?”

    “No, thanks.”

He quickly donned his robe, covering himself, then parted the curtains, his eyes meeting Aunt Mu’s.

They both froze. She quickly looked away, and he scratched his head.

“Sister Ji Ya’s first treatment went smoothly. You don’t need to guard us anymore, Aunt Mu.”

She nodded. “You’ve worked hard, young man.”

“I-it’s fine. It wasn’t that hard.”

He didn’t know what to say. It had been hard work, but also incredibly pleasurable. He had nearly been drained.

“I-I’m going to the bathroom now.”

He hurried out of the room.

In the bathroom, the bathwater still held traces of Ice Mystic Power, maintaining a low temperature.

He summoned the Gold and Silver Fire, tossing a small flame into the water. Within moments, the entire bath was heated.

He removed his robe, stepped into the bath, and sat down in the center.

The water reached his chest, only his shoulders and head exposed. He sighed contentedly, a wave of fatigue washing over him.

He was exhausted. Controlling Mystic Master level Mystic Power as a Mystic Adept to perform “internal alchemy”… If not for the two powerful techniques he possessed, the Emperor Flame Technique and the Ancestral Talisman Scripture, he wouldn’t have been able to accomplish it.

    But he couldn’t rest yet.

He had taken Ji Ya’s Yuan Yin, her essence accumulated over many years. He had to refine it as soon as possible, or it would gradually dissipate, a waste of precious energy.

He steeled himself, suppressing his fatigue, preparing to cultivate, when he heard the bathroom door open.

Moments later, Yi Xian’er entered, clad in her strapless dress, her long legs on full display. She unfastened the dress, letting it fall to the floor, her breasts, like inflating balloons, bouncing free, transforming from “apples” to “coconuts,” a truly wondrous sight.

She stepped into the bath, her naked body unblemished, her feet delicate, her movements graceful and elegant. She approached him.

Her demeanor was so natural that he forgot to be surprised, simply staring at his future soulmate.

“What are you looking at, you little pervert?” Her cheeks were flushed, one hand cupping her breast, concealing her rosy peak. “Wasn’t one night with Sister Ji Ya enough?”

He snapped out of his daze, averting his gaze. “Why are you here? I’m not finished bathing.”

    “I’m here to protect you.”

She sat down before him, the water also reaching her chest, her ample breasts bobbing gently.

“A woman’s Yuan Yin is difficult to preserve after it’s been taken. If you don’t start refining it soon, you’ll lose at least 30% by morning. What a waste.”

“Thank you for your concern, but I don’t need protection. I can handle it.”

“Still trying to act tough? You’re practically falling asleep. Let me help you wake up.”

She smiled, her smile turning dark, her flawless skin emitting a visible purplish-black Yin energy, her eyes gleaming like amethysts. Her once beautiful black hair turned silver.

Moments ago, she had been a sweet, approachable girl with a hidden voluptuous figure. Now, she was a white-haired queen wielding a terrifying power.

Instinctively, his Gold and Silver Fire ignited, swirling around him, warding off the encroaching Yin energy.

    “Feeling more awake now?”

The Yin energy vanished, and she returned to her normal appearance, her smile still alluring.

He blinked, wondering if he had imagined it. Was that… the future Queen of a Thousand Yins? Such a powerful aura! Can she already access a portion of her Yin Spirit Body’s power?

“That’s not a nice way to wake someone up.”

    “Then how about another method?”

She made a grabbing motion, her gaze intense.

He quickly crossed his legs, protecting his “dragon,” shaking his head.

    “No, thanks.”

She chuckled. “Then hurry up and refine it. If you really can’t handle it, I can lend a hand. But it won’t be free, of course.”

He stared at her, her beautiful face innocent and approachable, yet her true intentions remained a mystery.

“Xian’er, why are you following me?”

“Why? Because you did that to me, so I have no choice but to cling to you.”

    “Are you serious?”

    “Just kidding~”

Having fun teasing me, huh? He glared at her.

    “So why?”

She glanced at him, then coughed. “I’ll tell you after you’re done cultivating. Now focus on refining Sister Ji Ya’s Yuan Yin~”

He stared at his future soulmate for a moment, then closed his eyes, focusing his mind on his dantian, beginning the process of refining Ji Ya’s essence.

As dawn approached, he successfully refined the incredibly potent Yuan Yin, his cultivation skyrocketing from Ninth Star Mystic Adept to Three Star Mystic Scholar!

The surge of power was almost overwhelming. Upon completing his breakthrough, his uncontrolled Mystic Power swept outwards, creating a wave in the bathwater.

He activated the Emperor Flame Technique, struggling to stabilize his power, until his Mystic Power finally calmed down.

He opened his eyes, emerging from his meditative state, ready to resume their earlier conversation, but he found himself alone in the bath.

  • They All Want to Be My Female Lead v3c20

    Chapter 20: Alliance? What Alliance?

The first treatment session concluded. Yan Zhen slowly withdrew his Mystic Power, opening his eyes. Ji Ya also recovered from her dazed state, her head lowering, their faces inches apart.

A faint blush still lingered on her cheeks, her eyes, usually seductive, now held a hazy, languid expression, her lips moist and pink.

He wrapped his arms around her sweaty back, supporting her.

“How do you feel, Sister Ji Ya?”

She placed her hands on his shoulders, her legs tightening around his waist, her expression a mixture of shyness and contentment.

    “I feel… blissful~”

    Uh…

    “I meant… how’s your body?”

“My body?” She shifted her hips, savoring his presence within her. “It feels… full~”

    This…

    “Sister Ji Ya!”

“Alright, alright, I’ll stop teasing you.” Seeing his displeasure, she quickly stopped, kissing his cheek. “I feel great! My body feels lighter than ever, my Mystic Power circulation is smoother, and my cultivation has even strengthened! With some proper meditation, I might even break through~”

“Your cultivation has been stagnant for a while, Sister Ji Ya. Now that the blockages in your meridians have been cleared, and you’ve absorbed so much medicinal energy, a breakthrough is only natural.” He smiled. “This is just the beginning. By the end of the treatment, you should reach around the Seven Star Mystic Master realm.”

She was currently only at the One Star realm. A seven-star advancement in a little over a month seemed absurd, but it was simply the result of her accumulated progress over the past two to three years. In that sense, it was actually quite slow.

Her talent might not be exceptional, but with the vast resources of the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, she wouldn’t encounter any cultivation bottlenecks before reaching the Mystic King realm.

However, he was merely quoting the script’s data. Non-intimate dual cultivation and intimate dual cultivation were definitely different. With his “essence” nourishing her, she should be able to advance one or two more stars. She might even reach the Nine Star Mystic Master realm after the treatment.

“What about you, Little Brother Yan Zhen?” Sensing his unchanged aura, she asked, “My Yin Essence should be quite nourishing. Why haven’t you advanced?”

“I haven’t refined it yet.” He explained. “After refining it, I should be able to reach the Two or Three Star Mystic Scholar realm in one go.”

Although his Emperor Flame Technique had limitations, requiring him to refine a second fire seed before advancing further in the Mystic Scholar realm, he could exploit a loophole, jumping several stars from the Ninth Star Mystic Adept realm.

In the script, he had followed his Beautiful Sect Master’s advice, absorbing Ji Ya’s medicinal energy and storing it in his dantian, breaking through to the Two Star Mystic Scholar realm after accumulating enough. However, now, due to the intimate dual cultivation, he could achieve the same goal by simply refining her Yin Essence.

“I see.” She rested her head on his shoulder. “At least I’m not completely useless. I can at least help you… hmm… advance… Little Brother Yan Zhen, why are you… excited again?”

    He turned away, embarrassed.

    “It’s because you’re moving around.”

“Heehee, you really like this position, don’t you? You almost… melted my heart with your… eagerness.”

Her words, spoken unconsciously, brought a blush to her own cheeks, but her heart was filled with sweetness and contentment.

He noticed the marks he had left on her body, his embarrassment deepening.

“Come on, Sister Ji Ya, stop moving! Focus on refining the dual cultivation essence!”

It was awkward for him to remain in this state!

“But you’re still… uncomfortable, right? Since I’m the cause, I should take responsibility.” She leaned closer, her voice a seductive whisper. “Let me… help you~”

    “—Help with what?”

Yi Xian’er, sitting behind him, suddenly flicked Ji Ya’s forehead, snapping her out of her daze. Her voice was cold.

“The treatment is over. Separate now.”

    Ji Ya glared at her.

Earlier, when her cauldron had been opened, her eyes rolling back, waves of pleasure washing over her, Yi Xian’er had intervened, attacking Yan Zhen from behind, giving her a chance to breathe. However, now that the treatment was over, and she had been replenished by his “Yang Essence,” she had recovered, no longer needing assistance. Yi Xian’er’s presence suddenly felt… intrusive.

Alliance? What alliance? Had they ever agreed to such a thing?

In this embarrassing situation, she should have yielded. But facing Yi Xian’er, her competitive spirit outweighed her shyness.

She tightened her legs around him, her arms clinging to his neck, her smile unwavering.

“I’m still weak from my illness, Little Brother Yan Zhen. I need more of your… nourishment. If you’re impatient, Little Sister Xian’er, you can go to sleep first.”

Yi Xian’er glared at her, utterly disgusted. This treacherous merchant! Not a single word she says is true! She deserves to be hanged!

“If you’re weak, take some tonics!”

“You forget, Little Sister Xian’er, I can’t take medicine.” Ji Ya chuckled. “Besides, Little Brother Yan Zhen needs me too. It’s a mutual… desire~”

“You’re the one who’s provoking him! The Head Shopkeeper of the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, taking advantage of her own younger brother? Shameless!” Yi Xian’er wrapped her arms around him from behind, pulling him back. “Let go of him!”

Ji Ya tightened her grip on his neck, pulling him towards her.

“I’ll let go when Little Brother Yan Zhen wants me to. There’s no need for you to interfere, Little Sister Xian’er.”

“I’m his assistant! Of course I’m concerned about his well-being!”

    “Then let him enjoy himself!”

“How bold! Who was the one writhing in pleasure earlier, nearly turning into a puddle of goo?”

“Heh heh, I was just… unaccustomed to… intimate activities. Now that I have experience, it won’t be so… intense. You worry too much, Little Sister Xian’er.”

They bickered, their earlier agreement forgotten.

He was sandwiched between them, their soft, supple skin brushing against him as they pulled him back and forth, his desire building rapidly.

As Ji Ya pulled him towards her, he pushed her back onto the bed, then pounced on her like a wild dog.

The large curtains trembled, their movements like waves rippling across a field of flowers.

Outside, Aunt Mu and the twin bodyguards heard Ji Ya’s pleas for mercy and Yi Xian’er’s mocking laughter.

“Didn’t they finish? Why are they…”

Aunt Mu’s beautiful face flushed crimson. Seeing Jin Tong and Yu Nu still licking their lollipop, she snatched it away, tossing it aside.

They won’t be needing this anymore!

The twins blinked, tilting their heads, confused. Why had she given them candy, then taken it away before they finished?

They licked their lips, savoring the remaining sweetness, then, in unison, popped a pill into their mouths, chewing and swallowing, their synchronized movements almost robotic.

    Chapter 19: The First Treatment

Ahem. He cleared his throat, trying to maintain his composure.

“I don’t need an assistant. You can go, Xian’er.”

She was even calmer than he was. “You might not need an assistant, but Sister Ji Ya does.”

He turned to Ji Ya, puzzled.

She sat on the bed, naked, clutching the blanket to her chest, her hair cascading down like silk, accentuating her flawless skin.

Unlike her usual commanding presence when dealing with her subordinates or her calm demeanor during the assassination attempt, she seemed nervous.

When their eyes met, her seductive gaze, usually so alluring, was downcast, a hint of shyness coloring her cheeks.

“I’m… inexperienced, and I have a cauldron physique. I might not be able to keep up with you, Little Brother Yan Zhen. That’s why I asked Little Sister Xian’er to assist.”

He was embarrassed. Why do they all treat me like a stallion? I’m just an average man! (Probably.)

“Sister Ji Ya, didn’t you practice the cauldron-closing technique this afternoon?”

“I did, but I’m not very proficient yet. I might lose control once we… get started.”

    “Oh…”

A cauldron physique, when closed, could grant strength surpassing Yan Ruyu’s level. However, once opened, its strength would plummet, becoming comparable to Yan Meng’er’s level. Clearly, that wouldn’t be enough.

His cultivation was far below hers. He needed her cooperation during the treatment. He couldn’t afford for her to lose her strength. Otherwise, he wouldn’t be able to complete the treatment alone.

With Yi Xian’er joining forces with her, it would allow him to replenish Ji Ya more quickly, creating a positive feedback loop.

That being said, wasn’t this a bit… excessive?

Three pairs of eyes watching from outside, plus an assistant inside… It was practically a live broadcast!

He felt his scalp tingle. He had thought that after his experiences with his Beautiful Sect Master, his cousins, and Instructor Yu Xuan, he could handle any situation. He never imagined it would be like this.

    I’ve seen it all!

    (Crosses it out)

    I’ve never seen this before!

But at this point, he had no choice but to proceed.

He took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly, relaxing his body.

    “Lie down, Sister Ji Ya.”

She nodded, lying back, her head resting on the pillow, her hand still clutching the blanket to her chest. Her vulnerable posture was a novel experience for him. He couldn’t help but steal a few glances.

He climbed onto the bed, reaching out to remove the blanket, revealing her beautiful, naked body.

Her beauty was on full display.

Her cheeks flushed crimson with shyness, but she didn’t close her eyes. Her gaze, filled with affection, remained fixed on him, as if she couldn’t bear to look away.

“There are three steps to the treatment.” He explained. “First, we’ll connect our Mystic Power through dual cultivation, circulating it until it transforms into Extreme Flame Mystic Power, which I’ll control. You need to relax completely, Sister Ji Ya, and surrender to me. Otherwise, it will be very painful.”

With her cooperation, and his own Spiritual Power, controlling her vast Mystic Power, despite his lower cultivation, wouldn’t be too difficult.

However, if she resisted or didn’t cooperate properly, it would be a different story. The slightest resistance could injure him with her Mystic Power.

They both needed to trust each other completely.

She reached out, her hand caressing his cheek, her voice filled with emotion.

“I’m yours tonight, Little Brother. Do whatever you want~”

Her gaze ignited a fire within him, his heart pounding. He leaned down, capturing her lips with his own.

Her body, infused with Ice Mystic Power, was incredibly cold. Kissing her was like savoring a chilled jelly, with a hint of sweetness.

This was the first time, in both her past life and now, that he had kissed her first. She responded eagerly, her arms wrapping around his neck.

As they kissed, a pair of cool hands reached out, undoing his belt, then pulling off his robe, her fingers gently stroking his back.

“Let’s begin, Yan Zhen. Don’t let Sister Ji Ya get too carried away, or her cauldron will open.”

The focus now was on dual cultivation, not pleasure. They were different.

He understood, his gaze clearing. He gently connected with her mind.

She gasped, a sharp pain shooting through her, a feeling of being claimed by her beloved, a single tear escaping her eye.

He began circulating the dual cultivation technique, his body enveloped in fiery Mystic Power.

He suppressed the heat and intensity of his Mystic Power, expressing it in a gentle, soothing manner, like warm sunlight.

She also circulated the technique, channeling her Mystic Power outwards, her energy gentle and loving, her body and mind completely surrendered.

His Mystic Power entered her body from below, guided by his will, flowing through her meridians, while hers entered his from above. She then relinquished control, entrusting him completely.

Their Mystic Power formed a perfect closed loop, with him as the conductor.

His Mystic Power within her remained Extreme Flame Mystic Power, and hers, upon entering his body, was also transformed into Extreme Flame Mystic Power.

After what felt like an eternity, all her Mystic Power had been converted. It flowed between them, a continuous cycle.

As the Extreme Flame Mystic Power circulated through her meridians, it slowly melted the semi-crystallized medicinal energy that had accumulated, clearing the blockages.

    The first step was complete.

They were both exhausted. He had absorbed her “Yin Essence,” so he was fine, but she hadn’t received any of his “Yang Essence” in return. Her face was slightly pale.

“Little Brother Yan Zhen, give it to me~”

She tightened her legs around his waist.

At the same time, Yi Xian’er’s hand reached out, touching his back.

He replenished Ji Ya, her face regaining its color, a warm sensation spreading through her body, her aura strengthening slightly.

With their Mystic Power connected and transformed, they moved on to the second step.

They switched positions, he lying beneath her, she on top, maintaining the dual cultivation connection. He controlled the flow of Extreme Flame Mystic Power, gathering the medicinal energy within her body at her dantian, beginning the “pill refinement” process.

She was completely lost in the pleasure, forgetting about the cauldron-closing technique. Her cauldron opened, and a moan, echoing through the room, escaped her lips.

Yi Xian’er, seeing this, immediately joined Ji Ya, their combined assault forcing him to release his “Yang Essence.”

An hour later, she collapsed onto him, her mouth slightly open, a finger-sized pill emerging.

He swallowed the pill, replenishing his energy, then initiated the third step of dual cultivation, nourishing her, restoring her vitality and spirit.

Chapter 18: Yan Zhen: I Have an Announcement!

When he left the crystal space, Yan Zhen’s energy and spirits had recovered significantly. He opened the door and stepped out.

The sun had already set, the sky darkening, autumn winds rustling through fallen leaves, bringing a chill to the air.

He arrived in the main hall, finding everyone gathered, even Aunt Mu.

“Sister Ji Ya, are the preparations complete?”

She nodded. “Everything’s here. Check if anything’s missing, Little Brother Yan Zhen.”

She handed him a storage ring.

He took it, confirming its contents. “Everything’s here. Let’s go. To the bathroom first.”

    They arrived at the bathroom.

The bath was already filled with water, not hot, but cold.

He retrieved three Ice Crystals, emitting a chilling aura, from his storage ring and tossed them into the bath. The Ice Mystic Power stored within the crystals was released upon contact with water, instantly turning the bathwater ice-cold, nearly freezing.

He then added various strange-looking ores, turning the water a faint blue.

He scooped up a handful of water, tasting it with his sensitive tongue, then nodded in satisfaction. He retrieved a bottle of Snow Fluorescence Dew from his storage ring and handed it to Ji Ya.

“Apply this all over your body, Sister Ji Ya, then soak in the bath for half an hour, absorbing the Ice Mystic Power and locking it within your body. That way, it won’t be so uncomfortable when I channel my Extreme Flame Mystic Power into you.”

She took the bottle, nodding her understanding.

He scratched his cheek, trying to appear casual. “I’m going to take a quick bath too, to freshen up… You can come out directly, Sister Ji Ya. No need to dress. I’ll be waiting for you on the bed.”

His blunt words finally brought a blush to her cheeks.

    “I understand.”

“Okay, I’ll leave now. I’ll use the bathtub in your room.”

He avoided returning to her bedroom, filling the bathtub with hot water, undressing, and stepping in, cleansing himself.

Thankfully, his Beautiful Sect Master was quite proper during their dual cultivation sessions, unlike Instructor Yu Xuan, who loved leaving strawberry marks all over him.

Ji Ya wouldn’t be out for another half hour. He wasn’t in a hurry, leaning back against the edge of the bathtub, closing his eyes, and resting.

Honestly, despite his two practice sessions, he was still a bit nervous. This was a serious matter. The slightest mistake could cost Ji Ya her life, and he would fail his system mission, forcing him to start over.

He had never used the system’s restart function. He didn’t know how it worked. If it restarted the entire key plot point, it wouldn’t be so bad. But if it reset everything from the beginning… That would be a disaster.

Besides the high stakes, his nervousness also stemmed from the nature of the treatment: intimate dual cultivation.

Performing dual cultivation with his sworn older sister felt strange. And he couldn’t take responsibility for her immediately.

He could only marry her after the script ended and the world was stabilized.

That was over ten years away. Would she be willing to wait that long?

In the script, she had remained unmarried, but she seemed to have someone in mind, someone he had even met, though this person only existed in her words, never appearing before him.

    Annoying~

    He had to focus.

He had experienced the ministrations of his Beautiful Sect Master and his cousins, and he was regularly “consumed” by Instructor Yu Xuan. He had seen it all! How could he act so pathetically before Ji Ya, a novice in these matters? He had to guide her through the treatment!

Stop overthinking! Rest and conserve your energy. The treatment will last for a whole hour.

As he relaxed, he felt a wave of drowsiness, drifting off to sleep.

    “Yan Zhen, wake up.”

He was awakened by a soft voice, opening his eyes to find Yi Xian’er standing before him.

“Xian’er? Is Sister Ji Ya out?”

“She’s waiting for you on the bed.”

    “I’ll be right there.”

He splashed water on his face, then stood up, realizing she was staring at him intently.

He quickly covered himself, and she calmly turned away.

This Yi Xian’er… I feel like she’s attracted to me, but… it’s more than that. Something’s strange.

He used his Fire Mystic Power to dry himself, then, forgoing his usual elephant-printed boxers, put on his new robe.

He would be taking it off soon anyway. This was more convenient.

After checking his appearance in the mirror, ensuring he was presentable, he emerged from behind the screen, approaching the large bed, big enough to accommodate five or six people.

The crimson curtains were drawn, the lamplight casting a seductive silhouette onto the fabric.

Judging by the outline, Ji Ya had followed his instructions, emerging from the bath naked.

The twin bodyguards stood beside the bed, sharing a lollipop, while Aunt Mu sat by the entrance, her legs crossed, her arms folded, her ample bottom pressing against the curtain.

The problem was… they were all wearing pajamas, and quite revealing ones at that.

Aunt Mu stood up as he approached, stepping aside.

“I entrust the Young Mistress’s illness to you, young man.”

He nodded. “Don’t worry, Aunt Mu. I’ll do my best to cure Sister Ji Ya!”

He reached for the curtain, then hesitated, his voice hesitant.

“Aunt Mu, and you two… aren’t you going to leave?”

Aunt Mu shook her head, her expression indifferent.

“We’ll be staying here the entire time. It concerns the Young Mistress’s safety. I hope you understand.”

She paused, then added, “We can… assist if needed. Ahem, I’m having them practice.”

He glanced at the twins, finally understanding why they were sharing a lollipop. He had thought it was a way for them to bond, but they were actually practicing how to… serve!

“That’s not necessary. I can handle it.”

“Just in case.” Aunt Mu explained. “The Young Mistress has a cauldron physique. If you… open her cauldron, she might not be able to endure it.”

It’s not that serious, is it? He wanted to say, but judging by her expression, it would be futile.

She was an elder. He couldn’t just shoo her away. He steeled himself, pushing aside the curtain and entering.

He froze. Besides Ji Ya, there was another person on the bed.

    “Xian’er, w-why are you here?”

Yi Xian’er, wearing a pale-colored strapless dress, sat beside Ji Ya, her legs tucked beneath her.

“I told you, I’m your assistant.”

    “Uh…”

He had almost forgotten. He had indeed agreed to let her be his assistant, but he had been referring to the medicinal bath method. What kind of assistant was needed for dual cultivation? Someone to help push her butt? Don’t be ridiculous!

Chapter 17: Reviewing the Treatment Process with the Beautiful Sect Master

After lunch, Ji Ya wanted to take Yan Zhen sightseeing in the city, but he declined.

“Let’s go back, Sister Ji Ya,” he said resolutely. “We’ll make preparations this afternoon and begin the treatment tonight.”

    She was surprised.

“So soon? But Little Brother Yan Zhen, you weren’t—”

    Weren’t you reluctant?

She enjoyed teasing him, watching his face flush, but she didn’t want to force him to do something he didn’t want to do.

“It’s not that I’m unwilling. I just thought there might be a better way, so…” He scratched his head. “Since dual cultivation is the only option, there’s no point in delaying. The sooner we start, the better. Prolonging it won’t help, and it might even worsen your condition, Sister Ji Ya.”

Although he was right, she wanted to spend more time with him, deepening their bond before proceeding with the treatment.

His sudden change of heart left her flustered.

She was going to… unite with her beloved “little brother” tonight?

Her heart raced, her cheeks flushed, but she couldn’t bring herself to say, “Let’s wait a little longer.” She had been longing for this moment.

“Then… I’ll listen to you, Little Brother Yan Zhen.”

She glanced at Yi Xian’er, whose face was expressionless. Their eyes met, and she could sense Yi Xian’er’s displeasure.

She offered her an apologetic look.

Sorry, Little Sister. Older Sister is taking the lead this time~

They returned to Elegant Courtyard. Yan Zhen excused himself, claiming he needed to adjust his mental state, then retreated to his room, closing the door behind him. He activated his Star Shifting Fire Seal, entering the crystal space.

    “Master~”

He called out hesitantly, but she opened her eyes and glared at him.

“Zhen’er, why did you enter and leave so quickly earlier?”

She could sense whenever he activated the seal. She had assumed he was coming to greet her, but he had left without even looking at her.

    Master is not happy. JPG

Huh? He thought for a moment, then realized she was referring to his use of the crystal space to dodge attacks. He briefly explained the situation.

She was speechless, recalling his use of this tactic in their previous life to kill a Mystic Venerable.

Back then, she had already escaped from the Fire Refining Starry Sky, and he had complete control over the space. That’s how he had managed it. How could he do it now?

“Zhen’er, can you activate the Star Shifting Fire Seal that quickly?”

    He nodded. “Yes, it’s instant.”

    She frowned, surprised.

She had bestowed the seal upon him. When he activated it, the Fire Refining Starry Sky would automatically draw him in.

Although it only required a small amount of Mystic Power, the seal needed time to take effect. It shouldn’t be that fast.

Could it be because of their dual cultivation?

“What’s wrong, Master? Is there a problem with doing that?”

Seeing his anxiety, she shook her head. “I’m just surprised. I never imagined the Star Shifting Fire Seal could be used like this. As expected of my disciple. You’re so clever~”

    He blushed.

“Heehee, it’s all thanks to your teachings, Master~”

“But be careful where you use it. Don’t expose the Fire Refining Starry Sky’s existence. Such a treasure would tempt even Mystic Saints.”

    “I’ll be careful, Master.”

“And be mindful of the timing. If you’re not careful, you might collide with the attack. It’s very dangerous.”

    “Mmm hmm.”

“Lastly, although there’s no limit to the number of times you can use it, spatial travel puts a strain on both your body and spirit. It’s best not to exceed ten times a day, or there could be serious repercussions.”

“I see. I understand. Thank you for the warning, Master!”

Seeing his serious expression, a gentle smile returned to her face.

“Alright, Zhen’er, what brings you here?”

He twiddled his thumbs, his face flushed.

“I’m starting Sister Ji Ya’s treatment tonight. Before that, I wanted to… review the treatment process with you again, Master.”

She chuckled. He was clearly taking Ji Ya’s illness seriously, afraid of making any mistakes. Otherwise, with his personality, he wouldn’t have requested to “review” with her.

As expected, my impulsive decision to help that girl was the right one.

This was the first time her precious disciple had been so proactive with her.

    “Is that okay, Master?”

    “Of course.”

She clapped her hands, and the stone bed rose beneath them. She conjured curtains, blankets, and pillows with her Spiritual Power, instantly creating a luxurious bed.

She opened her arms, pulling him into a loving embrace, then leaned back, gazing at him with affection.

“You need to be in control, Zhen’er. Guide me, set the pace. That way, we can minimize errors.”

He nodded, then, summoning his courage, captured her lips with his own.

Her heart fluttered. She closed her eyes, responding to his kiss.

An hour later, he had thoroughly reviewed the entire treatment process with her, committing every detail and precaution to memory.

After their dual cultivation session, she lay on the bed, her arms wrapped around him, savoring the afterglow.

“Oh, there’s one more thing you need to be aware of, Zhen’er.”

    “What is it?”

He lifted his head from the valley between her breasts, his eyes curious.

She stroked his cheek, her touch filled with love.

“Ji Ya has a cauldron physique. She’s very sensitive. Don’t hold back, Zhen’er. After taking her virginity, you must replenish her immediately, or she’ll… wither, affecting the subsequent treatment. That’s the first thing. Secondly, a cauldron physique is highly fertile. If she doesn’t manage to close her cauldron, you must help her refine all your… essence. Even a trace could lead to pregnancy. Although it’s not necessarily a bad thing, you should focus on your cultivation at this age, Zhen’er. Don’t let other matters distract you.”

He blushed, mumbling his understanding. Then, his face still red, he asked, “What about… you, Master?”

She leaned back against the pillows, her eyes half-closed, her hand gently stroking his head.

    “What about me?”

    “Will… will you get pregnant?”

“Heehee, don’t worry. I’m currently in a state between life and death, a World Spirit. I can’t get pregnant. Now, eat the pseudo-pill you just refined, Zhen’er. Replenish your energy. And do your best with Ji Ya’s treatment tonight. If there are any problems, I’ll guide you.”

Chapter 16: Yan Zhen: I Have an Announcement to Make!

This was the first time Yan Zhen’s Spiritual Perception had reached such a distance.

Logically, with his Soul Realm at the middle stage of the Concealed Realm, his perception range should be limited to 200 meters.

However, at this moment, he had somehow surpassed his theoretical limit, allowing him to clearly perceive the hidden danger.

The exaggerated poison was just a distraction. The real killing blow is coming from behind! That arrow… If it hits, it’s enough to instantly kill a Mystic Master!

    Older Sister is in danger!

With his current strength, he couldn’t possibly block an arrow capable of killing a Mystic Master. He had also exhausted his trump cards, leaving only his Special Trump Cards.

    Which one should he use?

Right, he could use the [Special Trump Card – 1v1], forcing the attacker to target him, then use the same method he had used to dodge Han Feng’s palm strike.

In other words, activate his Star Shifting Fire Seal, entering the crystal space the moment the arrow was released, then activate it again after the arrow passed through, returning to reality.

Combined with his Shadowflow movement technique, which created afterimages, it would appear as if he had phased through the attack.

As long as he could react in time, he could theoretically dodge any attack.

Damn it! Trying to add an unscripted scene? Attacking my Older Sister? I’ll kill you!

He formulated his plan in an instant. Just as he was about to activate the [Special Trump Card – 1v1], Ji Ya gently took his hand.

“It’s fine, Little Brother Yan Zhen. Leave it to Aunt Mu.”

He froze. Right, Aunt Mu was still there.

Even if she only sensed the attack after the arrow was released, with her Ninth Star Mystic King cultivation, she could easily intercept an arrow meant for a Mystic Master!

There was nothing to worry about!

    “Oh…”

As expected, just as the arrow was about to reach the window, Aunt Mu’s figure materialized before it, her hand shooting out, black Mystic Power wrapping around the arrow like a tentacle, halting its advance.

The arrow vibrated violently, then reversed direction, flying back towards its source.

    Bang!

It grazed the rooftop, striking the fleeing sniper, his body exploding into fragments, leaving no trace.

Cold air from Ice Mystic Power spread outwards, forming a layer of ice, freezing the blood.

    “Aaargh!”

    Screams echoed through the streets.

Aunt Mu scanned her surroundings, confirming there were no more enemies, then vanished once more.

Her swift and decisive actions, her practiced movements, indicated her familiarity with such situations. She had probably sensed the danger beforehand.

So he had been worrying for nothing? Thinking that only he, the protagonist, had foreseen the danger? Thinking that only he could save her by risking his life? Come on, who’s that self-absorbed?

A mocking voice echoed in his mind. He forced his handsome face into an indifferent expression, his toes, however, curling uncontrollably inside his shoes, as if trying to escape their confinement.

Everyone, follow my lead! I have an announcement to make! I’m an idiot!

Seeing the failed assassination attempt, the servant girl dropped her act, unleashing her Mystic Master cultivation, attempting to escape. However, the twin bodyguards intercepted her, their combined attack possessing the strength of a Mystic General, swiftly decapitating her in the corridor outside the room!

The commotion alerted the restaurant manager, who arrived, his face pale with fear, apologizing profusely.

If anything happened to Ji Ya in his establishment, he would lose his job, perhaps even his life.

The Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce’s influence in the Sunward Kingdom was comparable to the royal family and the Guardian Divine Sect. They controlled half of the kingdom’s economy!

The twins, ignoring the manager, returned to the room, closing the door, taking their positions on either side of the entrance.

Incidentally, they didn’t eat food. They only consumed pills.

Ji Ya remained unfazed, clearly accustomed to such incidents.

“Alright, the troublemakers have been dealt with. No one will disturb our lunch now.”

Yi Xian’er glanced in the direction the arrow had come from. “Do you know who did it?”

Ji Ya shook her head. “It doesn’t matter. I’ll need to replace the servants at Elegant Courtyard.”

Before leaving her residence, she had informed the servants that she wouldn’t be having lunch there. There must have been a traitor among them, allowing those lurking in the shadows to prepare their attack, one distracting her while the other attempted a surprise assassination.

It was a classic tactic. She had nearly fallen for it the first time, suffering a minor injury. Now, she simply saw them as clowns.

“You were trying to protect me, weren’t you, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”

He blushed, lowering his head, denying it. “N-no, with Aunt Mu here, why would I think that?!”

“You were.” She stared at him intently. “You’re only a Mystic Adept, yet you wanted to protect me, a Mystic Master. How adorable~”

    “/(//o/ω/o//)/”

Stop it! I was wrong! I won’t do it again!

He felt like ants were crawling all over him, his face as red as the braised pig trotters on the table.

She, however, continued teasing him, placing a tender, glistening pig trotter in his bowl.

“I’m touched by your concern, Little Brother Yan Zhen. Here, have a pig trotter as a reward~”

He sulked, picking up the trotter and taking a bite.

She giggled, her smile brighter than any flower, her good mood evident.

Her silly little brother, sensing danger, had instinctively tried to protect her. His kindness and courage were the main reasons she had fallen for him.

Of course, as a member of the “Looks Association,” his handsome, youthful face and his lean yet strong physique were also major plus points.

Seeing him munching on the pig trotter to hide his embarrassment, she felt an irresistible urge to kiss him.

    And she acted on it.

She leaned towards him, her pink lips brushing against his cheek, interrupting his eating. He turned to her, his eyes wide and innocent, his expression confused.

She winked at him, her voice playful.

    “It’s an extra reward~”

    “…”

His confusion turned into speechless exasperation.

Yi Xian’er, sitting beside him, frowned. They had just agreed to form an alliance, to work together, and now she was making a move right in front of her? Merchants are all treacherous! Their promises mean nothing! I have to rely on myself.

“You have a grain of rice on your face, Yan Zhen.” She leaned towards him, kissing his other cheek, then licking her lips, her voice nonchalant. “There.”

    “…”

He turned to her, his exasperation deepening. He hadn’t eaten any rice.

Chapter 15: Taking Turns Helping with Outfit Changes

The burn on Yan Zhen’s hand was both minor and serious.

Burns caused by Extreme Flames were difficult to heal, even with medicine. However, the residual Yang energy had been neutralized by Yi Xian’er’s Yin energy, essentially eliminating the main obstacle.

Ji Ya, however, was distressed. She ordered the best burn ointment available in the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, a Tier 3, High Grade ointment.

After applying the ointment, he felt much better. He took the opportunity to claim the reward for completing the key plot point.

[Special Trump Card – King’s Power: Upon activation, forcibly extracts a certain amount of Spiritual Power from nearby living beings, condensing it into a Spiritual Weapon.]

    “A Spiritual Weapon?”

His eyes lit up. This was a valuable item!

Apart from Mystic Refiners, cultivators rarely trained their spirits. At the Mystic King realm, their spirit would begin to resonate with the outside world. Only at the Mystic Sovereign realm would their spirit, tempered by Mystic Power, transform into a nascent soul, capable of leaving the body and even possessing others.

Below the Mystic Sovereign realm, Spiritual Power was relatively weak. Possessing Spiritual Mystic Skills or Spiritual Weapons provided a significant advantage in combat.

He stored the card, examining his collection of Special Trump Cards. He felt it was time to start building a deck.

He hadn’t used a single Special Trump Card yet, mainly because he hadn’t encountered opponents worthy of such measures. As for someone like the Silver Moon City Lord, she was too powerful. He would need an all-purpose Trump Card to deal with her.

He reviewed the script’s future developments. There would indeed be an unexpected situation during this trip to the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce’s headquarters, requiring him to borrow his Beautiful Sect Master’s power.

He could use her power to advance the plot, then try to defeat his opponent with his own deck.

“What are you thinking about, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”

“Nothing. My hand seems to have recovered.”

“Let me see… Mmm, good.” She released his hand, smiling seductively. “You had a fight early this morning. Are you tired?”

    “Not really.”

“Then let’s go shopping! Your clothes were burned in the fight, Little Brother. I want to buy you some new ones.”

He nodded. He had only brought two sets of spare clothes. Replenishing his wardrobe wouldn’t hurt.

She turned to Yi Xian’er. “Your clothes are a bit old too, Little Sister Xian’er. Let’s get you some new ones as well. We have some lovely new dresses in stock. I’m sure you’ll find something you like.”

Yi Xian’er glanced at Yan Zhen.

Her current outfit wasn’t bad, but his preferences seemed to lean towards a more mature style. In her previous life, he had even complimented her cold, queenly appearance. Since then, she had cultivated a mature, elegant image.

Having reverted to her original personality after rebirth, she had neglected this detail. Perhaps she should change her style earlier this time.

They left the office, heading for the clothing section, the twin bodyguards trailing behind them like accessories.

As the Head Shopkeeper of the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce and the renowned “Beautiful Fox of Gold and Jade,” Ji Ya was a captivating presence wherever she went, especially with the addition of the pure and beautiful Yi Xian’er. Yan Zhen, with his handsome features, further enhanced their allure. They drew stares and whispers wherever they went.

People speculated about their relationship, some having witnessed the earlier duel, spreading gossip as if they knew the inside story.

They ignored the attention, arriving at the clothing section, greeted by the respectful bows of the staff.

The mature, experienced steward in charge of the section bowed deeply.

“Welcome, Head Shopkeeper. I apologize for not greeting you sooner.”

The attendants and servants behind her echoed her greeting in unison.

    “Greetings, Head Shopkeeper!”

    The formality was overwhelming.

Ji Ya waved her hand dismissively. “We’re just here to browse. There’s no need for such formality. Carry on with your duties.”

The steward nodded eagerly, dismissing the staff, then said cautiously, “May I show you around?”

Ji Ya nodded. “Let’s start with the men’s clothing store.”

The steward, pleased, led them to the men’s clothing store, its shelves filled with various styles of men’s attire.

Ji Ya and Yi Xian’er scanned the racks, carefully selecting clothes for Yan Zhen.

He also browsed, but he wasn’t picky. As long as the clothes fit and were comfortable, he was happy.

“Little Brother Yan Zhen, how about this one?”

Ji Ya held up a dark blue robe, its design eye-catching.

“Blue, with a cinched waist and narrow sleeves. It would match my red qipao perfectly~ Try it on!”

He disliked trying on clothes. The semi-ancient, semi-modern attire of the Mystic World might be aesthetically pleasing, but changing into them was a hassle. He preferred to simply feel the fabric and check the size.

However, this was Ji Ya’s show. She wouldn’t allow him to be so dismissive.

He reluctantly took the robe, entering the changing room. He had just unfastened his belt when Ji Ya followed him inside, startling him.

    “What’s wrong?”

“It’s too slow if you change by yourself, Little Brother. Let Older Sister help you.”

    “T-that’s not appropriate…”

“What’s inappropriate about it? Didn’t we agree to get used to physical contact? This is also a form of training.”

He had almost forgotten about their agreement. Because of it, she had even personally undressed him during their bath last night~

Recalling his “dragon” being examined from all angles by her, he felt a surge of embarrassment. No wonder Instructor Yu Xuan had made him cover his eyes during their “treatment sessions.”

“Then… I’ll trouble you, Sister Ji Ya.”

Under her amused gaze, her hands roaming his body, he managed to change into the new robe, his “dragon” nearly rearing its head in the process.

She circled him, her eyes lingering on his form, her gaze filled with admiration. However, she found fault with the outfit.

“It’s handsome, but… it doesn’t seem like the clothes are making you look good. You’d look handsome in anything, Little Brother Yan Zhen.”

He examined himself in the mirror.

“Isn’t that a good thing? Let’s just buy this one.”

“Come on, don’t decide so quickly. Let’s try on a few more and compare.”

    “That’s so much trouble.”

“That’s the fun of shopping~” She giggled, patting his shoulder. “Wait here. I’ll find some other styles for you~”

She left the changing room, her hips swaying enticingly. Moments later, she returned… No, it wasn’t Ji Ya. It was Yi Xian’er, holding a black robe that appealed to his chuunibyou tastes.

“How about this one, Yan Zhen? Try it on. I’ll help you~”

He halfheartedly resisted as she unfastened his belt, stripping him down to his elephant-printed boxers, then slowly helped him into the new robe.

He examined himself in the mirror, satisfied.

    “Not bad.”

Not bad? It’s amazing! I look so cool!

Yi Xian’er gazed at him, her cheeks flushed, but she remembered the line that would trigger the cycle.

“It looks good, but… it’s missing something. Wait here, I’ll see if there’s anything better.”

    She left.

    “…”

He was speechless. Women were so troublesome when it came to clothes, whether buying for themselves or for others. They always had to try on everything.

Moments later, Ji Ya returned, holding a different style of robe.

“Try this one, Little Brother Yan Zhen.”

    “Okay.”

He obediently submitted to her ministrations, changing into the new outfit.

“It’s a bit better than the previous one, but still not quite right. I’ll find something else.”

    She left.

Soon after, Yi Xian’er returned, also holding a different robe.

    “Try this one.”

He was undressed, redressed, and critiqued.

“Although [insert compliment], it still feels like [insert criticism]. Let’s try [insert suggestion].” X xtimes

Then she would leave, and Ji Ya would return!

    The cycle repeated endlessly!

He felt like he was trapped in an Infinite Tsukuyomi, transformed into a dress-up doll, forced to obey their whims, endlessly changing clothes.

They, however, seemed to enjoy it, making him try on outfit after outfit.

Finally, after the twentieth outfit, he snapped.

    “Enough! I’m not changing anymore!!!”

    They exchanged amused glances.

Ji Ya ordered someone to pack up the nineteen outfits and deliver them to Elegant Courtyard. He could keep the one he was currently wearing.

He sighed with relief. If they had continued, he felt like he would have lost his mind. Then, Ji Ya spoke.

“Alright, Little Brother Yan Zhen’s clothes are sorted. Now let’s go look at dresses.”

What?! His eyes widened. “I-I’ll just wait here. I can’t really help with that.”

He tried to escape, but they each grabbed one of his arms.

“Of course not! I need your opinion, Little Brother.”

    “You’re not getting away.”

They practically dragged him towards the women’s clothing section.

The steward, watching them, was astonished. She had never seen Ji Ya act so… girly. She didn’t dare stare, but she couldn’t help but wonder about Yan Zhen’s identity. She had never heard of the Head Shopkeeper having such a close younger brother. He seemed more like a… lover.

They arrived at the women’s clothing section, its racks overflowing with colorful dresses and robes, the air filled with a sweet fragrance absent from the men’s clothing store.

The men’s store had been relatively quiet, with few customers. The women’s store, however, was bustling, several ladies browsing the selection.

Their arrival, or rather, the presence of Yan Zhen, a man, caused a stir. The ladies, as well as the attendants and servants, paused, their voices lowering, their cheeks flushing with a mixture of shyness and displeasure.

Although there were no rules prohibiting men from entering the women’s clothing store, it was generally considered a female-only space.

He felt incredibly awkward under their scrutiny, wanting to flee, but his arms were trapped by Ji Ya and Yi Xian’er. He could only lower his head like an ostrich.

    How cute~

The thought crossed the minds of all the women present, their shyness and displeasure fading, replaced by amusement.

By the time they left the women’s clothing store, he was mentally exhausted. Only the mention of lunch at a restaurant revived his spirits.

The restaurant was located near the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, a ten-minute walk away.

As soon as they entered, he felt a sense of unease, his gaze scanning their surroundings, but he found nothing unusual.

    What’s going on?

“What’s wrong, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”

“Nothing. I probably have auditory hallucinations from changing too many outfits.”

Ji Ya rolled her eyes playfully. “That’s how you shop for clothes! You have to try on everything! Isn’t there a saying, ‘Women are like clothes’? Are you just as indiscriminate with women, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”

Her words took a suggestive turn.

    Yi Xian’er chuckled. “Hmm hmm.”

He rolled his eyes at her. “That’s not what the saying means! And it’s not even a compliment!”

The restaurant manager approached, greeting Ji Ya respectfully, then leading them to a private room, accompanied by the twin bodyguards.

Knowing his appetite, Ji Ya ordered a table full of dishes, even adding a pot of wine.

He frowned. “You two are drinking in the middle of the day?”

They both shook their heads. He relaxed.

“Then don’t order it. I don’t drink either.”

“Heehee.” She chuckled softly. “It’s just a precaution. Wine is easier to poison than food. We’ll use it to trick those lurking in the shadows.”

He was startled, suddenly reminded of her current situation.

Suffering from a chronic illness, constantly at risk of relapse, her cultivation relatively weak, yet holding a position comparable to a sect leader, controlling vast wealth and influence, countless eyes hidden in the darkness, coveting everything she possessed, including her life!

Yet she spoke of it so casually, as if she were used to it, unafraid.

“No one can poison me.” Yi Xian’er’s voice was calm, her tone filled with a queenly arrogance. “Don’t worry.”

Ji Ya giggled, her voice cheerful. “You’re so reliable, Little Sister Xian’er. Thank you.”

The dishes arrived, one after another, followed by the pot of wine, intended as a “decoy.”

A petite servant girl, barely fifteen or sixteen years old, carried the pot. As soon as she entered the room, the twin bodyguards, stationed at the door, blocked her path, their Tier 3 swords unsheathing, crossing at her neck.

    “Your… aura is wrong.”

    “You’re… not a servant.”

This was the first time he had heard the Mystic Master realm twins speak. Their voices were cold and robotic, devoid of emotion.

He was impressed by Ji Ya’s foresight. She had predicted this! Those lurking in the shadows had actually tried to poison the wine!

The sharp blades pressed against her delicate throat, drawing a thin line of blood.

The girl’s face paled, her hands trembling. The pot slipped from her grasp, shattering on the floor, its contents spilling, corroding the carpet, as if it were filled with concentrated sulfuric acid!

Isn’t that a bit too much poison?

However, at that moment, his eyebrows twitched, his Spirit Fire igniting involuntarily, his Spiritual Perception spreading outwards.

He “saw” it. Someone, positioned about 500 meters from the restaurant, was aiming a bow and arrow at them.

    Or rather, at Ji Ya!

    Chapter 14: Licking and Blowing

    Whoosh!

Both ignited their Extreme Flames simultaneously.

Ranked 108th on the Extreme Flame Ranking: the Phosphorus Fire.

Ranked 100th: the Gold and Silver Fire.

The Phosphorus Fire, a pale blue, flickering flame, possessed a rare Yin attribute, capable of creating frost and illusions. It was an auxiliary flame.

The Gold and Silver Fire, pure Yang energy and higher ranked, was its natural counter.

The atmosphere shifted as the two flames appeared, their auras clashing, a battle of dominance between two fiery overlords.

The surrounding spectators, their eyes wide with excitement, activated their Shadow Imprinting Mirrors.

An Extreme Flame duel was a rare spectacle. This would be tomorrow’s headline in the Royal Capital!

Under their watchful eyes, the Phosphorus Fire trembled, shrinking into a small flame, hiding in Han Feng’s palm, while the Gold and Silver Fire in Yan Zhen’s hand blazed fiercely, its crackling sound a declaration of victory.

    The difference was clear!

Han Feng’s expression darkened, but he couldn’t do anything. His Phosphorus Fire was indeed lower ranked, and its attribute disadvantage was evident. This outcome was within his expectations.

However, he could easily compensate for this slight difference with his superior cultivation.

With that in mind, he accelerated his Mystic Power circulation, fueling the Phosphorus Fire. The weak flame surged, its flickering tongue extending, its strength quickly recovering, even surpassing its previous intensity.

“You brought this upon yourself! Don’t blame me for bullying a child!”

    He thrust his palm forward.

The Phosphorus Fire in his hand shot out, transforming into a serpent, its blue fiery body twisting and turning as it lunged towards Yan Zhen.

As a Mystic Master, he could project his Mystic Power, attacking from a distance. This also applied to his fire control. It was his natural advantage.

As the blue flames approached, Yan Zhen’s eyes narrowed. He also thrust his palm forward, the Gold and Silver Fire meeting the attack head-on.

    Fighting fire with fire!

The two opposing flames collided, creating a massive explosion.

    Boom!

The shockwave sent Yan Zhen flying backwards, his arms crossed defensively. His arms were red and slightly burned.

Han Feng, however, remained unharmed, the explosion’s reach insufficient to affect him.

He had found his winning strategy: maintain distance, attack from afar. Closing in would be more dominant, but it would also give Yan Zhen an opportunity!

Their initial clash had clearly demonstrated Yan Zhen’s inferiority. The Second and Third Shopkeepers smirked.

What a fool! A mere Mystic Adept, daring to challenge a Mystic Master?

They glanced at Ji Ya, anticipating her humiliation.

Han Feng, seizing the opportunity, took a step forward, flicking his wrist, sending the fiery whip lashing out, striking Yan Zhen from a distance of nearly ten meters.

Yan Zhen, understanding his intentions, utilized his Shadowstep, effortlessly dodging the two attacks. He simultaneously retrieved the Mystic Tool Embryo from his storage ring.

Han Feng was only a Mystic Master.

A Mystic Master could shape their Mystic Power, condensing flames into a whip. He could do the same, using the Mystic Tool Embryo to condense flames into a sword!

He channeled the highly malleable Gold and Silver Fire into the embryo, rapidly compressing it into a magnificent sword, its gold and silver flames intertwined.

When it came to shaping flames, the Gold and Silver Fire was the expert.

Gripping the Extreme Flame Sword, he no longer dodged, meeting the incoming fiery whip with a powerful swing, deflecting it.

Han Feng’s eyes widened. He hadn’t expected this. He tried to retract the whip and launch another attack, but Yan Zhen had already channeled Mystic Power into his Flowing Spring Boots, activating Shadowflow, his figure blurring as he accelerated, charging towards Han Feng like a river rushing towards the sea.

He closed the ten-meter distance in the blink of an eye.

The unexpected turn of events startled Han Feng. He swung his fiery whip, trying to block Yan Zhen’s advance, but his opponent’s agile movements rendered his efforts futile.

As Yan Zhen approached, the Extreme Flame Sword blazing, Han Feng, disregarding the duel’s rules, unleashed his Mystic Master cultivation, thrusting his palm forward, a powerful blast of energy aimed at Yan Zhen.

It wasn’t a Mystic Skill, just a simple palm strike, but the difference in their cultivation levels was vast. If it connected, it could severely injure, even kill, a Ninth Star Mystic Adept!

Below the arena, even though she knew he would win, Ji Ya’s face darkened. She raised her hand, signaling Aunt Mu to be ready to intervene.

Yi Xian’er’s eyes were filled with murderous intent, strands of Yin energy emanating from her body, her black hair gradually turning silver at the tips, a sign of her impending transformation.

She possessed numerous self-created secret techniques utilizing Yin energy. Even with her current Mystic Adept cultivation, dealing with one or two Mystic Masters was child’s play.

Her Natural Yin Body granted her strength comparable to a Mystic Master from birth, though it remained dormant. As she aged, her Yin energy would grow stronger. If she unleashed its full power, even a Mystic King would have to tread carefully.

The Second and Third Shopkeepers also sensed something was wrong, but instead of stopping the duel, they prepared to intercept any attempts to rescue Yan Zhen.

As long as he was dead, they could simply declare Han Feng the winner, citing his violation of the rules as a reason for disqualification!

However, at that moment, Yan Zhen’s figure blurred, becoming almost translucent. He effortlessly passed through Han Feng’s attack, appearing before his opponent unscathed, his sword slashing downwards, aiming for Han Feng’s arm.

Mystic Scholars, capable of shaping their Mystic Power, usually formed protective armor around their vital points during combat. However, their limbs were often left exposed.

The Extreme Flame Sword easily pierced through Han Feng’s instinctive Mystic Power barrier, then, as he watched in horror, severed his arm at the wrist, as smooth as a hot knife through butter.

    “Aaaargh!!!”

His scream echoed through the plaza as his right hand, severed at the wrist, fell to the ground.

The wound, cauterized by the lingering Gold and Silver Fire, quickly turned black, the smell of burnt flesh filling the air.

    “My hand! My hand–”

He howled, driven mad by the loss of his hand, but Yan Zhen kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying off the arena like a cannonball.

The sudden turn of events left everyone speechless.

One moment, Han Feng was breaking the rules, using his Mystic Master cultivation to attack Yan Zhen. The next, Yan Zhen had severed his hand and kicked him off the arena.

The Second and Third Shopkeepers were dumbfounded. What the hell just happened?!

They rushed to Han Feng’s side, finding him unconscious. They pointed at Yan Zhen, their voices filled with rage.

“You brat! It was just a duel! How dare you try to kill Instructor Han Feng?!”

“You clearly violated the rules! Instructor Han Feng should be declared the winner!”

They unleashed their Mystic King auras, attempting to suppress Yan Zhen.

He ignored them. His Emperor Flame Technique granted him a layer of Emperor’s Aura, protecting him from such pressure. Perhaps only a Mystic Venerable or a Mystic Saint could truly suppress him.

He extinguished the Gold and Silver Fire, returning the Mystic Tool Embryo to his storage ring, hissing as he shook his burned hand.

    It’s practically cooked.

“What? Can’t accept defeat, Second and Third Shopkeepers? Trying to cheat?”

Ji Ya’s seductive voice, laced with a chilling edge, echoed from below the arena.

    Whoosh!

Aunt Mu’s figure materialized beside Yan Zhen, shielding him with her mature, alluring body, her gaze cold and indifferent as she stared at the two Shopkeepers. Her Ninth Star Mystic King aura pressed down on them, unrestrained.

    “Mu… Mu Xiner…”

The Second and Third Shopkeepers paled.

They felt immense pressure facing her.

The Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce had several Mystic Lords, but they weren’t under their command. Therefore, Aunt Mu, a Ninth Star Mystic King, was their strongest asset. It was her presence that allowed Ji Ya to maintain her position as Head Shopkeeper.

Naturally, she was a thorn in their side, but she was flawless, always by Ji Ya’s side, appearing and disappearing like a ghost, leaving them with no options.

“Hmph! Don’t get too cocky! You injured Instructor Han Feng! This isn’t over!”

“He’s a prodigy from the Sacred Ground Academy! You’ll pay for cutting off his hand!”

They abandoned their argument, ordering their men to carry the unconscious Han Feng away, retreating in disgrace.

Yan Zhen smirked. It’s nothing. Their revenge won’t come so quickly. This just gives me an enemy at the Sacred Ground Academy.

Just like at the Mystic Academy, he had offended the City Lord’s Mansion and the two most powerful families upon arrival, creating external pressure for the protagonist’s growth.

    A classic trope.

Seeing them leave, Aunt Mu turned to him, her voice calm.

    “Are you alright?”

He shook his head. “I’m fine. Thank you, Senior.”

“Call me Aunt Mu.” Her expression was indifferent. “Since the Young Mistress has acknowledged you as her younger brother, you can address me as she does.”

“Oh, okay. Thank you, Aunt Mu.”

She studied him, curious about how he had passed through Han Feng’s attack, but she didn’t ask. After a moment of hesitation, she vanished, melting into the shadows.

Only a faint, feminine fragrance lingered.

He scanned his surroundings, his Spiritual Perception spreading out, attempting to track her movements, but as expected, he couldn’t detect any trace of her. He was impressed. She’s truly skilled.

He chuckled, calmly retrieving the severed hand from the arena floor, storing it in his storage ring.

Han Feng’s Phosphorus Fire resided within an aperture point in his palm, not his dantian.

Using a secret technique to open an aperture point in the hand to accommodate an Extreme Flame… Many Mystic Refiners chose this method. They didn’t dare risk storing the flame in their fragile dantian. Hands, however, were expendable. Even if severed, they could be regrown with medicine and treatment.

Some Mystic Refiners stored their tamed Extreme Flames in special storage rings, summoning them like weapons during combat.

This method was safer, but it hindered precise control. No amount of training could achieve the same level of mastery as when the flame was integrated with the body.

The best method was to absorb the Extreme Flame into the dantian, fully refining it, achieving a state of unity between man and flame, maximizing its potential.

As for the Gold and Silver Fire, once he began learning the art of Mystic Tool Crafting, he would refine it into his personal weapon.

Once fully refined, any Mystic Tool or treasure would shatter upon contact with his Gold and Silver Fire Sword (tentative name).

Just thinking about it is exciting!

He pocketed the severed hand, then, under the stunned gazes of the crowd, jumped off the arena, returning to Ji Ya and Yi Xian’er.

“That’s settled. Shall we go back, or do you want to take a walk around town?”

Ji Ya smiled, taking out a handkerchief and wiping the sweat and dust from his face.

“You did well, Little Brother Yan Zhen… How’s your hand?”

    He blinked, then chuckled.

“It’s nothing. Just a burn. Some ointment will fix it.”

“Burns caused by Extreme Flames aren’t so easily healed.”

It was Yi Xian’er. She took his hand, then, to his shock, stuck out her tongue, gently licking the red, swollen area… well, the burned part of his palm!

    “Xian’er, w-what are you doing?!”

He felt her soft, wet tongue against his skin, a ticklish sensation spreading through him. His face instantly flushed crimson. He glanced around, finding everyone staring at them with knowing smirks. Even Ji Ya, usually unfazed by anything, was stunned. He wanted to disappear.

    “Don’t do that! Let go!”

    “Don’t move.”

She refused to release his wrist. Her words, slightly muffled by her tongue, sounded strangely… seductive.

“The Gold and Silver Fire is pure Yang energy. Burns caused by it leave behind residual Yang energy. I’m neutralizing it with my Yin energy. It will heal faster this way.”

She continued licking his palm, coating it with her saliva, then finally retracted her tongue, her cheeks flushed as she gazed at him.

“There. Now apply some ointment, and it will heal quickly.”

Oh… He had been planning to have his Beautiful Sect Master blow on it, like last time.

Although it felt strange, her intentions were clearly good.

He scratched his cheek, embarrassed. “Thank you.”

She had been composed, but his tone flustered her, her blush deepening.

    “Y-you’re welcome.”

Ji Ya felt a pang of jealousy. Xian’er is so quick! I didn’t even react in time!

    But there’s still a chance!

“Let’s go to my office and apply the ointment, Little Brother Yan Zhen. This isn’t a minor injury. We can’t delay treatment.”

She took his hand, leading him towards the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce’s headquarters.

    The twin bodyguards followed.

Yi Xian’er, trailing behind, glanced in the direction the Second and Third Shopkeepers had left, her eyes flashing with murderous intent.

The headquarters was over ten times larger than the branch in the Gallo Kingdom. It was more like a bustling marketplace than a single shop.

Ji Ya led them to her office on the top floor.

The room was spacious and bright, reflecting her grand and generous nature.

She had him sit down, then ordered someone to bring the finest ointment, personally applying it with a cotton swab.

He felt a bit embarrassed, being pampered like this. It was just a minor burn, after all.

“I can do it myself, Sister Ji Ya.”

“No, you can’t. You were injured because of me. It’s my responsibility to treat you.”

She sounded so righteous, blowing on his hand as she applied the ointment.

They looked like… an older sister tending to her younger brother’s injuries after a fight, her heart filled with both distress and affection.

Yi Xian’er rolled her eyes, muttering, “Being an older sister is good enough, huh?”
