Chapter 108p2
“Be good, I’ll be busy for a bit, entertain yourself.” After delivering the sweet treat, Wei Zhuoning started writing furiously, determined to defend her favorite CP!
Chi Lin and Wei Zhuoning engaged in a silent battle throughout the flight. As the plane landed, Chi Lin finally finished posting her latest story, rubbing her tired eyes.
“Your eyes hurt? Don’t rub them, it’s dirty, let me see.” Lou Mi took her hand.
“Look at your red eyes, you’ve been staring at your phone the entire time, what’s so important?”
Lou Mi’s tone held a hint of jealousy and annoyance. Chi Lin, oblivious, nodded earnestly:
“It’s very important.”
Lou Mi: “…”
How important? More important than her? Important enough to ignore her for two hours?
Lou Mi had wanted to act spoiled, but Chi Lin’s obliviousness made her even angrier.
“Come here.” She took out some hand sanitizer. “You’ve been touching your phone for so long, and you’re rubbing your eyes, you’ll get an infection.”
Chi Lin, noticing Lou Mi’s frown and her sharp tone, asked:
“Is Your Majesty angry with me?”
Lou Mi glared at her: “What do you think? How old are you, Lin Jie, still acting like a child and making me worry?”
The plane came to a stop, and the doors opened. Lou Mi reached for her bag.
As they got off the plane and headed towards the terminal, Lou Mi held Chi Lin’s hand, but Chi Lin still sensed her displeasure.
“Your Majesty.”
Chi Lin wanted to explain, but Lou Mi interrupted:
“What were you doing on the plane?”
Chi Lin hesitated, then remained silent.
“Oh, still not telling me.” Lou Mi glanced at her. “Fine, then think about how to appease me.”
Chi Lin sighed.
Lou Mi cursed inwardly. She was sighing?
Ignoring her the entire time, and now sighing, as if she was being unreasonable?
Fine, she would show Chi Lin what unreasonable truly meant!
Lou Mi’s heart ached; she almost let go of Chi Lin’s hand.
But she couldn’t.
As they reached the baggage claim area, Chi Lin took both their suitcases and placed them on a levitating cart.
“Your Majesty,” Chi Lin, pulling the cart with one hand and tugging at Lou Mi’s sleeve with the other, leaned her head on Lou Mi’s shoulder.
Lou Mi glanced at her, still silent.
“Your Majesty, I was just jealous,” Chi Lin confessed, blushing.
“Huh?” Lou Mi was taken aback.
Chi Lin sighed again, defeated, and handed her the phone.
“I couldn’t help it.”
Lou Mi took the phone and quickly glanced at the screen.
Her initial frown slowly turned into a smile.
She finally couldn’t help but laugh.
“What is this?” Lou Mi tapped Chi Lin’s head. “You were busy with this the entire time? Did you write all of this?”
It seemed Lou Mi knew about the discovery of Dayuan. Her voice was loud and unrestrained.
“Your Majesty!” Chi Lin panicked, trying to shush her.
Lou Mi, tears welling up from laughter, teased her: “Such passionate scenes in the deserted Taihua Palace, Little Lin, you have quite the imagination.”
Chi Lin’s face burned. She turned and walked away, pushing the cart.
“Hey, Little Lin, Little Lin!” Lou Mi, surprised by her sudden departure, quickly chased after her.
Chi Lin was fast, fueled by embarrassment, and Lou Mi, panting, only caught up because Chi Lin slowed down, not wanting to make her run too much.
“I’m sorry… I’m sorry, don’t be angry.”
Lou Mi’s earlier sprint could have rivaled a professional athlete, her speed whipping several passersby’s hair into the air.
Before even catching her breath, she started calling Chi Lin “Lin Jie,” showering her with affection until Chi Lin finally turned around.
“How could Your Majesty say those things out loud?”
Chi Lin’s writing was actually quite subtle, and Lou Mi hadn’t revealed any specific details, but Chi Lin’s face was still burning. She was so adorable…
But she hadn’t been this shy when she saw those explicit Lin Xue fanfics.
Could it be…?
Lou Mi suddenly understood and whispered in Chi Lin’s ear: “Were those, real? Not just fiction?”
Chi Lin closed her eyes and nodded.
“Han Lie is you?”
“That’s my courtesy name.”
“So…” Lou Mi’s eyes widened, finally understanding Chi Lin’s embarrassment.
It wasn’t fanfiction, but a memoir!
“What…?” Chi Lin, under Lou Mi’s intense gaze, felt her cheeks burning.
Lou Mi took her phone: “I need to reread this, carefully.”
Chi Lin: “What… Your Majesty! Don’t read it!”
They continued their playful banter as they said goodbye to their friends and got into a taxi.
After they left, the taxi line at the airport grew longer.
Xie Buyu and Fu Tu, at the front of the line, heard the airport staff coordinating with the taxi company to dispatch more cars.
The crowd behind them was getting restless. They stood side by side, Fu Tu watching Xie Buyu as she sent voice messages.
“I’m back.”
“Okay, okay, tonight then, same place.”
“No, just a few friends. No, just my teammates.”
***
Fu Tu listened silently. When the next batch of taxis arrived, Xie Buyu told Fu Tu to get in first.
“Aren’t you coming?”
“I’m not going your way.”
“Where are you going?”
Xie Buyu, surprised by the question, hesitated: “A friend invited me, I’m going north.”
She knew Fu Tu lived south, the opposite direction.
“It’s fine, get in, I’ll drop you off first.”
Fu Tu put her luggage in the trunk.
Xie Buyu joined her, glancing at her.
“What?” Fu Tu noticed her gaze.
“Do you want to come with me?” Xie Buyu asked, getting in the car. “To meet my friend.”
“Huh?”
“Some high school classmates are visiting, want to join us?”
Fu Tu hesitated: “What would I even do there? How would you introduce me?”
Xie Buyu, seeing her nervousness, smiled and pulled her closer:
“You’ve been clinging to me all break, I thought something was up. Did you want to be my girlfriend all along? I can introduce you as my girlfriend, how about that? Hey, what the—”
Before she could finish, Fu Tu pinched her arm hard, making her yelp in pain.
“What the hell?!”
Fu Tu, almost in tears, grabbed her luggage, got out of the car, and jumped into another taxi.
Xie Buyu, utterly confused, followed her:
“What’s going on? Did I say something wrong?”
“Find someone else to be your girlfriend!” Fu Tu pushed her away, and the taxi drove off.
Xie Buyu stood there, dumbfounded.
Wasn’t that what Fu Tu wanted? To make their relationship official? She felt the same way.
Had she phrased it wrong, making it sound like a joke?
Xie Buyu rubbed her aching head. This little ancestor was so difficult, even off the court.
Well, she had always been the dominant one, even as bed buddies, Fu Tu had always catered to her every whim.
Fu Tu was younger, but she was genuinely caring.
Xie Buyu had noticed her feelings, and she had just indirectly confessed.
She got in her taxi, switched to manual driving, and followed Fu Tu’s car.
She had rarely spoken seriously in her life, and now, when it mattered most, she had messed it up.
Was that silly girl upset now…?
Xie Buyu followed her car, watching as she exited the highway and stopped by the roadside.
Xie Buyu prepared herself mentally, ready to get out and talk to her.
Just as she was about to, Fu Tu drove into a nearby mall.
Xie Buyu quickly followed.
In the underground parking lot, Fu Tu parked her car. Xie Buyu’s car was assigned to a different section. Seeing Fu Tu over a hundred meters away, she hurried towards her.
After a few steps, she saw two tall men approaching Fu Tu.
They were both over six feet tall, wearing tight-fitting shirts and jeans, their muscular physiques almost bursting out of their clothes.
They had shaved heads, grim expressions, and their eyes were fixed on Fu Tu.
Fu Tu, head down, seemingly lost in thought, walked towards the elevators, oblivious to their presence.
They were about to collide, and Fu Tu still hadn’t noticed them.
Xie Buyu, sensing danger, rushed towards Fu Tu.
“Fu Tu!”
Xie Buyu called out to her. Fu Tu turned around, and just then, one of the men pulled out a knife and lunged at her.
Xie Buyu jumped in front of Fu Tu, shielding her. They tumbled to the ground, then quickly stood up.
The two men, surprised that their attack had failed, looked at them.
“You’re bleeding!” Fu Tu saw a long, deep gash on Xie Buyu’s arm, blood dripping onto the ground.
“What’s going on?” An AI security guard, alerted by the commotion, approached them.
The two men quickly left.
“Who were they?” Xie Buyu asked.
“I don’t know,” Fu Tu’s face was pale. “I’ve never seen them before.”
