Bloodthirsty Countess’s Overbearing Love 93

Chapter 93

Li Xinjun’s eyes narrowed, their color shifting to a pale green. Xu Dao, shocked by the transformation, stumbled backward, pointing a trembling finger at Li Xinjun’s eyes.

“Y-Your eyes… How did they turn green?”

“I’ll ask you one more time! Did you kill Qiqi?!”

Li Xinjun advanced towards her, her aura menacing. Xu Dao had never seen her like this before. Fear gripped her heart, and she tried to flee, but Li Xinjun grabbed her by the throat, her grip unyielding. Xu Dao struggled, clawing at Li Xinjun’s hand, but to no avail.

“What are you?! How are you so strong?! And your eyes… they changed color!” Xu Dao realized with horror that something was terribly wrong.

“You said you loved me, didn’t you? What’s wrong? Are you scared now?”

Li Xinjun sneered, revealing a sharp fang. Xu Dao trembled, her face pale with fear, unable to speak.

“As you can see, I’m not human. Killing you would be as easy as crushing an ant.”

“You… You’re a vampire?!”

“You could say that. Some people call me a jiangshi. It doesn’t matter what you call me. All I want is to avenge Qiqi! And you will pay!”

“No! Please don’t kill me! Don’t you care about Song Ling? If you let me go, I’ll spare her life!”

Li Xinjun burst out laughing, amused by Xu Dao’s desperate plea. Song Ling didn’t need her mercy. Although Li Xinjun didn’t know what Xu Dao had done, she was curious.

“What could she possibly do to me? Send assassins to kill me?”

Song Ling entered the chapel, a cold smile playing on her lips. Li Xinjun, seeing her, smiled sweetly. Xu Dao, her face contorted with fear, couldn’t believe that Song Ling had survived and was now standing before her.

“How did you…?”

Song Ling, with superhuman speed, appeared beside them. Xu Dao looked at them, her eyes wide with terror. Song Ling winked at her, her smile sinister.

“Disappointed to see me, Director Xu? The people you sent to kill me are in police custody. They confessed that you paid them to eliminate me. Sorry to disappoint you.”

“You’re both monsters!”

“Yes, you’re right. We are monsters.”

“Sister Ling, how did you find me?”

“I saw your message and came home, but you weren’t there. I followed your scent and found you here. I checked, and it seems she tampered with the explosives. That’s how Weiqi died. What do you want to do with her?”

Li Xinjun turned to Xu Dao, a cruel smile on her lips. She gently traced Xu Dao’s neck with her sharp fingernail, slicing open her carotid artery.

Blood oozed from the wound. Li Xinjun released her grip, and Xu Dao collapsed to the floor, clutching her neck.

“Xu Jie, do you know what’s the most terrifying thing?”

Li Xinjun asked, her arms crossed, looking down at Xu Dao. Xu Dao didn’t answer, fear paralyzing her. She tried to get up and flee, but her heavy wedding gown hindered her movements. Li Xinjun smirked, enjoying her panic.

“I’ll tell you. The most terrifying thing isn’t death. It’s wanting to die but being unable to. Don’t worry, I’ll let you experience it.”

“Mo Mo, please, I beg you, let me go! Remember how kind I was to you? Please, just let me go!”

Xu Dao pleaded, scrambling to her feet. Li Xinjun, still smiling, helped her up. Xu Dao felt a glimmer of hope.

“You know, Xu Jie, Qiqi didn’t even have time to say her last words. She had just started dating Mark. They could have been so happy.”

“Mo Mo, I’m sorry! I’m so sorry! I was wrong!”

“No, Xu Jie, you weren’t wrong. There’s nothing wrong with loving someone. I was the one who was wrong. I was too kind to you. I gave you the opportunity to hurt the people I love. It’s my fault.”

Li Xinjun dipped her finger in the blood on Xu Dao’s neck and then licked it, savoring the metallic tang. Xu Dao, her face streaked with tears, watched in horror.

She saw an opportunity and, grabbing her heavy skirt, ran towards the chapel door. She burst through the door, but Song Ling was standing there, blocking her escape.

“Director Xu, that’s very rude. Leaving without saying goodbye? Didn’t your mother teach you any manners?”

Song Ling, with a swift movement, raked her claws across Xu Dao’s stomach, ripping open her flesh, exposing her intestines. Xu Dao screamed in pain, collapsing to the floor, her body trembling.

“Please, have mercy! I know I was wrong!”

Song Ling, her hand covered in blood, licked her fingers, her eyes cold. Li Xinjun approached her, looking down at Xu Dao. Her white wedding gown was stained crimson with blood. Xu Dao realized that there was no escape.

She clutched her wound, pleading for her life.

“Sister Ling, don’t kill her so quickly. I want her to suffer.”

“That’s easy. I haven’t fed yet, and I’m hungry. I’ll give her the gift of immortality. Then you can play with her all you want.”

“No, I don’t want her to taint your mouth. And I don’t want to be stuck with this disgusting creature for eternity. Let’s just prolong her suffering and let her die slowly.”

“Okay, whatever you want. I don’t care. How about we try some ancient Qing Dynasty torture methods on her?”

“I like that idea.”

“You two demons! Devils! You’ll rot in hell!”

Xu Dao, hearing their conversation, broke down completely. She realized that death was inevitable. She used her last bit of strength to curse them. Song Ling smirked, squatting down in front of her. Xu Dao cowered in fear.

Song Ling grabbed her hand and snapped her index finger, breaking it in two. Xu Dao screamed in agony, but Song Ling didn’t stop. She grabbed another finger and broke it, continuing until all ten of Xu Dao’s fingers were broken. She then released her grip.

Xu Dao, overwhelmed by the pain, fainted. Li Xinjun walked over and stomped on her knee, shattering it with a sickening crack. Xu Dao woke up screaming, her body wracked with pain. She looked at the two demons standing over her, tears streaming down her face.

“I’m sorry! I know I was wrong! Please, stop torturing me! Just kill me! I beg you!”

“Xu Jie, giving up so soon? That’s no fun.”

“Yes, we haven’t even gotten to the eye-gouging and tongue-cutting yet.”

“Please, just give me a quick death! I beg you!”

Li Xinjun picked her up and strung her up on the chapel’s cross, then ripped open her neck wound, letting the blood flow freely.

Xu Dao, hanging upside down, her body weak, could only watch helplessly as her blood dripped onto the white floor, staining it crimson. Fear consumed her. She remembered why she had fallen for Li Mo. She had found her docile and obedient, easy to control.

She had never imagined that Li Mo was a terrifying monster. She watched as Li Xinjun and Song Ling, hand in hand, walked towards the chapel door. Was her love for Li Mo real?

Tears streamed down her face. The woman she truly loved had left her because she couldn’t handle Xu Dao’s jealousy. Blinded by rage, she had driven her beloved to her death. It was only when she was cleaning out her ex-girlfriend’s belongings that she discovered a letter revealing her love for Xu Dao. Xu Dao had destroyed their love with her own hands.

Her blood continued to drip, her life ebbing away. Li Xinjun and Song Ling left the chapel, leaving her to die alone. Her eyelids grew heavy, her vision fading. As she breathed her last breath, her suffering finally ended.
