Chapter 1: Why Is She So Strong?
After the banquet, Yan Zhen spent two more days with Ji Ya, then bid her farewell, preparing to journey to the Demon Dragon Mountain Range to search for the Evil Spirit Dragon Breath Fire.
“Won’t you stay a few more days, Little Brother Yan Zhen?”
Although she had anticipated his departure, Ji Ya felt a pang of reluctance, a strong urge to abandon everything and follow him.
However, both the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce and the Ji family needed her. She could be away for a few days, but any longer would cause significant problems.

The afternoon sky was overcast, dark clouds gathering, the autumn wind whistling. It looked like rain.
However, Yi Xian’er’s spirits were high. It was finally her turn!
“Should we enter the mountains now, or rest and prepare first?”
“Let’s prepare first.” He pondered. “Are there any maps of the Demon Dragon Mountain Range for sale in town?”
“There are, but they’re just simple maps of the outer areas, only useful for beginners. I have a more detailed, hand-drawn map.”
This was one of the main reasons why the Yan Zhen in the script had insisted on partnering with her. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the Demon Dragon Mountain Range.
The mountains were filled with miasma, but she, with her Natural Yin Body, was immune to it. She could access areas that were inaccessible to most people and beasts, giving her a deeper understanding of the terrain.

They had a simple meal at a restaurant, then purchased rations, water, a two-person tent, and some tools they might need.

They arrived at the clinic, finding its doors wide open, two burly men in matching uniforms guarding the entrance, the sounds of rummaging coming from inside.
Her eyes narrowed. As expected, they’re here again.
He also felt a surge of familiarity. He had encountered this situation in the script when he returned to Green Water Town to seek her out as a partner.
These men were members of the “Wild Gang,” one of the two major forces in Green Water Town, the other being the Hunter’s Association.
The Wild Gang’s leader cultivated Fire Mystic Power. He had somehow learned about her possession of unique fire attribute crystals, rich in Fire energy, and wanted to trade with her.
She had refused. Her Evil Scale Fire Crystals had been taken by Yan Zhen, leaving only a single one she had kept hidden.
The Wild Gang, being a gang of thugs, had decided to take it by force.
A battle had ensued, and she had been surrounded, trapped.
To win her over, he had intervened, deliberately revealing an Evil Scale Fire Crystal to distract the gang, creating an opportunity for her to escape.
Now that she had gone with him to the Gold and Jade Chamber of Commerce, they had actually raided her house! How lawless!

The guards immediately stopped them. They were about to speak, but their eyes widened as they recognized her.

They shouted, alerting those inside. A group of men rushed out, surrounding them.
“Where? Where is she?!”
A voice came from behind the crowd. It was Kuang Sheng, the son of the Wild Gang’s leader.
His black hair had a streak of red, his face prematurely aged, its rough surface radiating arrogance.
He stepped forward, his eyes lighting up as he saw her.
“You’ve been hard to find, Little Poison Girl. Long time no see. And you even found yourself a pretty boy. Impressive~”
She glared at him coldly.
One of the reasons she had returned was to kill him again.
In her previous life, he had kicked over her mother’s memorial tablet. She had vowed to make him pay.
“What are you doing in my house?”
“No need for small talk. You still have those unique Fire Crystals, right?”
“So what if I do?”
“Simple. Our Wild Gang wants to make a deal. Ten thousand Crystal Coins for one Fire Crystal. We’ll take as many as you have.”
“I’m not selling.”
Her answer was immediate and firm.
He chuckled coldly.
“You better think carefully, Little Poison Girl. Our Wild Gang doesn’t always play by the rules.”
“And?”
She was concise.
If she wasn’t worried about him thinking she was a murderer, she would have killed him already. She wouldn’t waste her breath on him.
Her attitude enraged him. He nodded repeatedly.
“Very well! Since you refuse our offer, then don’t blame me for being… unreasonable! Men, seize her!”
As he finished speaking, Yan Zhen suddenly shouted, “Wait!” He had retrieved something from his storage ring, casually tossing it up and down, drawing everyone’s attention.
“Is this the Fire Crystal you’re looking for?”
Kuang Sheng, also a Fire Mystic Power cultivator, immediately sensed the intense fire attribute energy emanating from the crystal in Yan Zhen’s hand. His eyes lit up.

Yan Zhen, holding the Evil Scale Fire Crystal, stared at Yi Xian’er, standing triumphantly amidst the fallen men, his lips twitching.
He had wanted to ask this ever since she had poisoned Han Feng to death: Why was she so much stronger than described in the script?
