Bloodthirsty Countess’s Overbearing Love 86

Chapter 86

As Li Xinjun regained consciousness, she saw Song Ling gazing at her with a worried expression. A wave of warmth washed over her, and she reached out, her hand gently caressing Song Ling’s cheek. Song Ling took her hand, her own cheek rubbing against Li Xinjun’s palm.

“You’re awake,” Song Ling said, her voice soft.

“Yes. Have you been waiting long?”

“Not too long.”

“How are you feeling? Any discomfort?”

“I’m okay.”

“The surgery was successful. We removed the arrowhead. You shouldn’t have any more headaches.”

“Thank you.”

“Silly girl, you don’t have to thank me.”

“Thank you for loving me, for doing so much for me without asking for anything in return.”

“Who says I’m not asking for anything in return?”

“What do you want?”

“Your love, for the rest of your life.”

“That’s greedy. My life is very long.”

“What? You don’t want to? Do you want to love someone else?”

“Hmm… Let me think about it.”

“You heartless woman! Do you really need to think about it?”

“Yes, I do. I’m trying to decide whether to love the domineering CEO Song Ling, the simple farm girl Song Ling from England, or the compassionate healer Song Ling from the Qing Dynasty.”

“You… You remember everything?”

“Some of it. Not everything. I’m starting to remember bits and pieces. I think it will all come back to me soon.”

“Jun’er… I’m so happy! You finally remember! You finally remember me!”

Song Ling burst into tears, burying her face in Li Xinjun’s chest. Li Xinjun held her close, comforting her, letting her cry.

“I’m sorry… I made you suffer.”

“You should be sorry! It’s all your fault! If you hadn’t run away to the Qing Dynasty without a word, we wouldn’t have been separated for so long! Do you know how long I’ve been searching for you? Waaah! Everyone told me you were dead, but I refused to believe it! I kept searching for you, traveling all over the world! I was going crazy! Where did you go? Waaah!”

“Shh, shh, don’t cry. It’s okay. It’s my fault. I was wrong.”

“Of course it’s your fault! You’re the worst! Waaah!”

“I hate you! I hate you so much! Tell me, where did you go? Why couldn’t I find you?”

Song Ling sobbed, hitting Li Xinjun playfully. Li Xinjun, her memories still fragmented, didn’t argue. She let Song Ling vent her emotions, her heart aching for the woman who had searched for her for so long.

She knew Song Ling must have been suppressing her emotions for centuries, and she wanted to let her release them, to share her burden.

Song Ling cried until she was exhausted, her sobs subsiding into soft whimpers. She fell asleep, her head resting on Li Xinjun’s chest. Li Xinjun, her limbs numb from being pinned under Song Ling for hours, didn’t move, afraid of waking her.

She made a silent vow to spend the rest of her life loving this woman, cherishing her, protecting her, spoiling her, making up for all the pain she had endured.

Remembering her own initial struggle with her transformation into a jiangshi, she chuckled. She was now grateful that she and Song Ling were both vampires. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been able to reunite and continue their love story.

A human life was fleeting, but a vampire’s life was eternal. She had an eternity to make amends to the woman who had loved her for centuries.

Song Ling woke up in the evening, carefully disentangling herself from Li Xinjun, who remained motionless, her arms still wrapped around Song Ling.

“You’re awake.”

“Yes, I’m sorry. I fell asleep.”

“Sister Ling…”

“Yes?”

“Can you please untie me?”

“Oh, right! I forgot! I’ll untie you now.”

“Thank you.”

Song Ling got up and retrieved the key to the chains from a nearby drawer, unlocking Li Xinjun’s restraints. Li Xinjun, freed, immediately got out of bed and embraced Song Ling.

Song Ling, caught off guard, was swept off her feet as Li Xinjun lifted her into her arms. She instinctively wrapped her arms around Li Xinjun’s neck for balance.

“What are you doing?!”

“Taking you for a bath!”

“Your wound hasn’t healed yet… You can’t get it wet.”

“It’s already healed! Don’t you remember I’m a jiangshi? Wounds heal instantly!”

“But you had a craniotomy! It can’t be that fast! It takes at least a day!”

“You can check it yourself after we’re done!”

“Okay, I’ll check your wound.”

“Good!”

“Then put me down!”

“Why?”

“So you can check my wound! How can you check it if you’re carrying me?”

“I’ll check it in the bathroom.”

“You pervert!”

“I’m being much gentler than you were the other day.”

“Hee hee hee, you’re still holding a grudge? I wasn’t thinking straight that night! How could I remember you were tied up? You didn’t remind me!”

“Don’t worry, I’ll let you experience it too.”

“No way!”

“You have no choice!”

“Help! There’s a pervert here!”

“Yes, I’m a pervert! You’re so beautiful, I can’t resist! I must have you tonight! Hahaha!”

Li Xinjun, embracing her playful side, teased Song Ling with a scenario of a big bad wolf attacking a little rabbit. Song Ling played along, her heart filled with joy.

However, once they were in the bathroom, the “big bad wolf” transformed into a docile patient, obediently sitting still as Song Ling removed the bandages and examined her wound.

“Hmm, the skin has healed completely. There’s no sign of a scar. But your hair hasn’t grown back much yet.”

“It’s okay. I’ll drink plenty of blood, and it will grow back quickly.”

“Yes, but the bone might not be fully healed yet. Bones take longer to heal than flesh. To be safe, keep the bandages on for another day. I’ll remove them tomorrow.”

“Okay, I’ll listen to you.”

“Now, be a good girl and take a bath. I’ll wait for you outside.”

“No! Stay with me! We haven’t bathed together in a long time… Hmm?”

Song Ling, looking at Li Xinjun’s pleading eyes and pouty lips, couldn’t resist. Li Xinjun had always been able to melt her heart with her adorable antics. She sighed, her resolve crumbling.

“You know I can’t say no to you. You always use that against me. I’m so weak when it comes to you.”

Song Ling gently tapped Li Xinjun’s nose, teasing her. Li Xinjun stuck out her tongue playfully.

“I know you love me, Sister Ling.”

They took a bath together, and of course, our dear Dr. Song, Song Ling, was “taken advantage of” by the mischievous Li Xinjun, who couldn’t resist getting some payback for being “bullied” the other day.

“Jun’er, I have a question.”

“Yes?”

“Now that you’re starting to regain your memories, are you still going back to the film set?”

“Of course!”

“…”

Li Xinjun, seeing Song Ling’s silence, turned to look at her. Song Ling’s expression was clouded with displeasure. Li Xinjun remembered that this woman was a jealous lover.

“Sister Ling… Don’t be upset, okay? There’s nothing going on between Qiqi and me. Believe me, okay? We’re just friends. And I only want to go back to filming because I really love this script. I really enjoy acting.”

“But there are so many intimate scenes…”

“Oh, come on! It’s just acting! It’s not like what we’re doing now! I’ll only let you touch me! Really! Believe me, okay? I’ll quit acting after this film, okay? Sister Ling?”

“Really? You’ll quit acting after this film? Won’t you miss it?”

“No, I won’t. I’d rather be with you, like this.”

Li Xinjun, without another word, lifted Song Ling out of the bathtub. Song Ling gasped in surprise, her arms instinctively wrapping around Li Xinjun’s neck. Li Xinjun quickly dried them both with a towel and then carried Song Ling to the bedroom, laying her down on the bed.

“Why did you put me on this bed? It’s so small…”

“Hehe, it’s more convenient…”

“Convenient for what?”

Li Xinjun didn’t answer, her hands already roaming Song Ling’s body. By the time Song Ling realized what was happening, her limbs were already restrained with the iron chains.

“What are you doing?!”

“Hehe, what do you think?”

“Ah! You’re so bad! Stop it! This is embarrassing! Untie me!”

Li Xinjun ignored her protests, recreating the experience Song Ling had subjected her to. It was another night of passionate lovemaking, but this time, the roles were reversed.
