168 Grand Elder Yu Yan Resolves to Protect Her Sister
Yan Zhen’s Mystic Power was indeed drained.
First, it was Younger Aunt Dean. After the treatment, just like last time, she lost control and tried to… ravage him. Fortunately, they were prepared and managed to pull her away.
Then, it was Grand Elder Great Aunt. The fluids secreted from her body, infused with Water Mystic Power, had a corrosive effect. By the end of the treatment, her clothes were practically dissolved, even affecting Yan Zhen’s, forcing him to change into a new pair of elephant-print boxer briefs.
Finally, it was Clan Head Mother-in-law. Unlike her sisters and sister-in-law, she didn’t enter the water clothed but removed everything beforehand. As the water in the tub turned milky white, a sweet fragrance filled the bathroom. However, this time, Yan Zhen didn’t evaporate the water to refine the essence, simply enjoying a fragrant bath.
After being “treated” by the three beautiful elders, with only two short breaks in between, Yan Zhen was completely exhausted.
After all, he was only a seven-star Mystic Master. His Mystic Power was far too weak compared to three Mystic Ancestors.
He didn’t even need to close his eyes; he could barely keep them open. He drifted off to sleep, lulled by Aunt Head Instructor’s concerned voice.
When he woke up, he was lying in bed. He blinked, looking at the familiar bed curtains, and realized he was in Instructor Yu Xuan’s room.
Yan Zhen tried to sit up, the blanket slipping down to reveal his toned chest.
“Ow…”
Just this simple movement caused him discomfort.
His Mystic Power had mostly recovered, but his meridians were overloaded from excessive circulation, making his body ache all over.
Footsteps approached, the beaded curtain was lifted, and Aunt Head Instructor entered. To Yan Zhen’s surprise, she wasn’t wearing her oval glasses, her appearance less stern and intellectual, and more alluring.
She walked to the bedside, leaned over, smiled at him, and asked, “Awake? How are you feeling?”
Yan Zhen scratched his head and yawned. “How long have I been asleep, Aunt?”
“A day and a night.”
“No wonder I’m so hungry.”
“I’ll have the kitchen prepare something for you. Get dressed first.”
“Thank you, Aunt.”
Watching Aunt Head Instructor leave, Yan Zhen lay back down and sighed.
After lying there like a salted fish for a while, he sat up, lifted the blanket, and discovered that his elephant-print boxer briefs were gone, hanging on the clothes rack at the foot of the bed along with his other clothes.
—Who did this? Could it have been… Aunt?
Yan Zhen didn’t dare to dwell on that thought, quickly got dressed, stretched his stiff limbs, poured himself a glass of water, and drank it all in one gulp.
After three glasses of water, he stopped and exhaled deeply.
Soon, he heard footsteps and voices approaching. He left the bedroom and saw Aunt Head Instructor returning, along with Clan Head Mother-in-law, Grand Elder Great Aunt, and even Younger Aunt Dean. Behind them were a dozen maids carrying trays laden with food.
The maids placed the dishes on the table, filling it completely. The room was filled with the aroma of food and the subtle fragrance of the women.
Clan Head Mother-in-law walked over to Yan Zhen, handed him a pill bottle, and said, “Take this before you eat.”
Yan Zhen accepted the bottle. “What is this?”
“Tier 5 pills for repairing meridian damage. After co-cultivating with us for several hours, your meridians must be strained. This will help. Take two at a time.”
“Thank you, Mother-in-law.”
Yan Zhen opened the bottle, poured two pills into his mouth, chewed, and swallowed.
The medicinal power quickly took effect, soothing his aching meridians and making him moan softly.
—Finally, some relief!
“Sit down and eat.”
Although her expression remained cold, Clan Head Mother-in-law pulled out a chair for him, gesturing for him to sit beside her.
Younger Aunt Dean, sitting nearby, looked back and forth between her second sister and Yan Zhen with suspicion, sensing something strange but unable to pinpoint it.
Aunt Head Instructor also frowned slightly, thinking that her sister-in-law and Yan Zhen were sitting a bit too close. This wasn’t her usual behavior.
Only Grand Elder Great Aunt knew the reason, as her younger sister had confided in her last night, explaining that it was Supreme Elder Yu’s instruction.
“What do you think, Xiao Lu? Are you really going to do this?”
“The Supreme Elder’s words have merit.”
“I’m asking for your opinion, Xiao Lu. You don’t have to force yourself.”
“That child listens to me, so I’ll take charge of him for Xuan’er.”
“But Little Yan Zhen is already an obedient child.”
“…In any case, let’s do this for now. I’ll observe for a while longer before making a final decision.”
“Then what should we tell Xuan’er? And Xiao Qing?”
“We’ll deal with that later.”
Recalling their conversation, Grand Elder Yu Yan sighed inwardly, wondering why Supreme Elder Yu wanted her second sister and Xuan’er to… share Yan Zhen. It didn’t seem like something the Supreme Elder would suggest. Could there be a misunderstanding?
—I should ask the Supreme Elder. If it’s truly necessary, I’ll ask her to let me take Xiao Lu’s place. She’s already sacrificed herself once; I won’t let her do it again.
Grand Elder Yu Yan resolved to protect her sister.
Clan Head Yu Lu, meanwhile, was trying to get closer to Yan Zhen.
Younger Aunt Dean and Aunt Head Instructor were both puzzled by this.
Yan Zhen, however, was completely oblivious, assuming that his actions, his love for Instructor Yu Xuan, had finally moved Clan Head Mother-in-law, and she was now treating him like family.
Time to eat!
After the satisfying meal, Yan Zhen went for a walk with Clan Head Yu Lu in the back garden.
Confirming that she had mastered the acupoint technique, he was relieved.
That afternoon, Yan Zhen bid farewell to Clan Head Yu Lu and returned to the academy with Grand Elder Yu Yan, Younger Aunt Dean, and Aunt Head Instructor on the private airship.
Just like last time, he disembarked at the Outer Academy and discreetly visited the four girls.
Seeing them diligently cultivating, Yan Zhen didn’t disturb them, leaving some pills in the dormitory before leaving.
After they finished cultivating and returned to the dormitory, finding the pills, Yan Zhen’s communication talisman was flooded with messages.
Clearly, the four girls were unhappy that he had visited secretly without seeing them.
Yan Meng’er even complained, “Meng’er doesn’t want pills! Meng’er wants Cousin!”
Mi Xue’er also scolded him, “Little Brother Yan Zhen is a big dummy!”
After much coaxing and pleading, Yan Zhen finally appeased them, promising to spend two days with them in the Outer Academy next month.
Meanwhile, in the Inner Academy, under the care of the mature Zi Xunyi, Yan Lingji’s consciousness gradually recovered, able to hold simple conversations.
Learning that she was currently within her mother’s womb, Yan Lingji was surprised, then, hearing her mother’s voice from the soul avatar, realizing she had two mothers, she was overjoyed.
When Yan Zhen returned and visited the cliffside building, hearing that soft, childish “Father,” his heart melted.
Although only sixteen, he felt a deep sense of paternal love.
Long Ying also settled down, no longer transforming into her adult form to startle him, obediently assisting the mature Zi Xunyi in caring for her younger self and Ling’er. Huangfu Wenqing also focused on her cultivation, spending all her time in the Celestial Dome Pagoda, only returning at night for some brief intimacy with Yan Zhen.
A month passed quickly.
In the fifth month, the Inner Academy held its grand mid-year event, the “Star Gathering Banquet.”
