Chapter 72: An Irresistible Trap
Luo Yuxi slowly opened her eyes, staring at the unfamiliar ceiling, her mind hazy. She had been drugged. She sat up in the soft bed.
“Damn it, I knew there were no innocent witches, so why did I fall for it again?”
Luo Yuxi got out of bed, then noticed something was wrong. She wasn’t wearing her nun’s habit anymore. A small black and white dress, similar in color to her habit, now adorned her body. Turning around, she saw a pair of wings on her back.
“What’s going on? Is this a decoration? No, I can feel them, I can move them, I actually have wings…”
Luo Yuxi ran to the mirror. She looked the same, except for the sparkling, pink dust falling from her, like the fairies.
“No! What did that witch do to me?! I have to get out of here!”
Luo Yuxi ran to the door, but the sight that greeted her made her question her sanity. Giant human girls walked past, even the usually short dwarves towered over her.
“You’re awake. Just so you know, I didn’t take advantage of you. There’s no sense of accomplishment in doing bad things while you’re unconscious~”
“You…”
Luo Yuxi saw Bertha behind her. She had drugged and kidnapped her, and now she dared show her face? The palm-sized Bertha was now Luo Yuxi’s size. Luo Yuxi realized she had been turned into a fairy.
“What did you do to me?! Why am I a fairy?!”
“You’ve heard of witches’ abilities, right? As a weak witch, to protect myself and my race, this is my ability: Assimilation~”
“Assimilation? What a strange skill…”
Luo Yuxi, despite her words, was wary. The Greed Witch, Herolise, a mere 6th Order, had managed to fight two 3rd Order bishops simultaneously because of her strange ability.
“I can assimilate other races into my own, including their level and abilities. But it only works when they’re completely unguarded~”
“Change me back, or you’ll regret it!”
Luo Yuxi prepared to fight. She had underestimated Bertha before, but now she knew that even a seemingly weak fairy could be a formidable opponent as a witch.

Luo Yuxi’s body burst into white flames. Although she could feel the heat, the surrounding objects weren’t affected.
“Using a suicidal spell right away? We could just talk, there’s no need for this~”
“Talk about what? You drugged me and brought me to this strange place…”
As Luo Yuxi glared at Bertha, four or five fairies flew in, blocking her path. Bertha’s expression darkened.
“What are you doing here?! Get out, it’s dangerous!”
“Sister Bertha, we know you’re doing this for our race, but this is wrong. Please stop!”
Luo Yuxi, confused, extinguished her flames, watching the scene unfold. Bertha grabbed one of the fairies.
“Do you know why I became a witch?! Don’t cause trouble for me, go back!”
“No! Sister, if you continue down this path, you’ll incur the Church’s wrath…!”
“You don’t understand! If I silence this nun, we’ll not only have stable protection, but we won’t be treated as toys anymore!”
Bertha pushed the fairy aside. Luo Yuxi, initially wary, now looked intrigued. So Bertha hadn’t kidnapped her for lewd purposes, she wanted something from her.
“Change me back to my human form, and I’ll do my best to fulfill your request. How about that…?”
“Don’t worry, Assimilation is temporary. You’ll change back automatically~”
Luo Yuxi was relieved. Being a fairy was a novel experience, but she couldn’t exactly engage in her usual activities with such a tiny body. Although it might offer some new possibilities, it also eliminated many others.
“Since I can change back, then it’s fine. I’ll pretend nothing happened, and I won’t reveal your identity…”
Luo Yuxi opened the door, which looked like a dollhouse door, and looked at the vast world outside, wondering how to get back. Bertha smiled slyly.
“But are you sure you want to go back now~?”
“Hmm? What are you planning? I won’t believe you no matter what you say…”
“Aren’t you curious about a fairy’s body? The area where our wings connect to our body is very sensitive~”
Bertha pulled open her collar. Luo Yuxi hadn’t noticed before when she was palm-sized, but now that they were the same size, Bertha was surprisingly well-endowed. Luo Yuxi looked at her slender body, fair skin, and alluring appearance.
“Such lewd tactics. Fine, you win. Let’s see what else you have…”
Luo Yuxi sat down on the sofa. Bertha clapped her hands, and a dozen beautiful fairies entered, surrounding Luo Yuxi. Luo Yuxi thought they were going to attack, but they simply leaned closer.
“We fairies are a communal race, so it’s normal for a female to have multiple wives. If they all leave their magic power inside you, you’ll become one of us~”
“What? So that’s your plan? I… I don’t even feel like resisting…!”
Luo Yuxi felt no resistance towards the fairies embracing her. Bertha, seeing her succumb to their charms, smiled triumphantly, about to record the “evidence,” when Luo Yuxi grabbed her wrist.
“W-What are you doing?”
“Fairy Witch, you wouldn’t want your race to lose its protection, would you? Only children have to choose, I’ll take them all!”
