Chapter 37: Bad Intentions
Luo Yuxi went to the church kitchen. Although she had only been there a few times, her years of experience as a shut-in allowed her to create five-star meals even with instant noodles. Combined with her natural cooking talent, she quickly prepared a table full of delicious food.
“I was worried the kitchens in this world would be backward, but a stove with adjustable temperature and a water magic stone that produces water? Much more convenient than I thought~”
Just as she was about to serve the dishes, she felt a breeze by her ear. Despite feeling like a breeze, she instantly recognized it as someone’s breath. After several major incidents, her body had developed a heightened sense of alertness.
“Who’s there?!”

Luo Yuxi reacted instantly, grabbing a nearby knife and stabbing at the person behind her. However, instead of blood splattering, the knife was caught between two fingers.

Luo Yuxi recognized the voice. Seeing the silver-white hair, she was certain. It was the Blood Witch, Alice.
“Alice! Why are you here?!”

Alice, who hadn’t bothered to hide her identity, leaned closer. Her crimson eyes, no matter how many times Luo Yuxi saw them, were still terrifying.
“Tonight’s dinner smells delicious. I could smell it from outside. I wonder how it tastes~”
Luo Yuxi heard the suggestive undertone in her words. Although Alice seemed to be talking about the food on the table, Luo Yuxi knew she meant something else entirely. Luo Yuxi’s body burst into white flames. Although the surrounding objects weren’t burned, Alice was caught off guard, the burning sensation on her hand forcing her to let go.

Herolise ignored the injured Ruo Li. Even though Ruo Li was no longer a threat, Herolise didn’t bother finishing her off. She was just an obstacle.

Herolise muttered to herself, looking up at the stars, lost in thought. Just like in the game, no one could communicate with her normally. She only acted on instinct, keeping everything she considered hers close.
“Where is she…?”

After dinner, Luo Yuxi called everyone down. Ling Shuang still looked weak, the previous battle had clearly taken a toll on her. After eating, she only said a few words before returning upstairs, not even objecting when Yun Keke suggested sleeping together.
