Chapter 19: The Strange Elf Shop
After a series of struggles, Luo Yuxi successfully dissuaded Ling Shuang from her plans to “play” her to exhaustion. She hadn’t expected that, in the end, she would have to barter with her body to secure her own living space.
“When I get back, you have to cuddle me in bed for three days!”
“Deal!”
Luo Yuxi thought, Just cuddling, nothing should happen. Besides, it was a problem for her future self. But Ling Shuang thought the same, Cuddling in bed? How could nothing happen?

Ling Shuang opened the bedroom door and saw Isaiah eavesdropping outside. Isaiah looked up stiffly, forcing a smile.
“You’re done…”
“Sister is going on a business trip to the Elven Forest. It’ll just be the two of us for the next few days…”
Ling Shuang smiled gently. In terms of strength, she wasn’t a match for Isaiah yet, but she held Isaiah’s secret.
“I! I really don’t know anything!”
“Come here! It seems I need to teach you some manners over the next few days…”
Ling Shuang grabbed Isaiah’s wrist and dragged her towards her room. Luo Yuxi walked out of her bedroom, watching the two holding hands, and couldn’t help but marvel at how close they had become.

Luo Yuxi looked at her half-packed luggage. According to the backstory, before humans had the power to resist other races, the Mythical Species weren’t called that. Then, the Church appeared, using its overwhelming power to break the delicate balance, forcing its way into other territories. “What? You won’t let me in? Then there must be a witch inside. I’ll beat you until you let me in.”
“Elves are beautiful, but they’re all scheming. I better prepare more, just in case I can’t get back…”
Luo Yuxi left the church, heading for an elf-run shop. Since this was a border town, trade between different races was frequent. She arrived at a shop and recognized the complex script on the sign as Elven.
“The developers of this game really had too much time on their hands, creating a unique language for each race…”
Luo Yuxi grumbled as she opened the shop door. She saw a human girl standing behind the counter and found it strange that a human was working in an elven shop.
“Hello, I’m going to the Elven Forest. What do I need to prepare…?”
“P-Please wait a moment, I’ll take… you… S-Sorry… there are some goods on the shelves over there, you can… take a look yourself…”
Luo Yuxi, who had just come to ask for advice, noticed the human girl’s trembling voice and realized something was wrong. The girl’s hands were shaking as she gripped the counter, as if she was enduring something.
“Are… are you alright? You seem to be trembling…”
“I… I’m fine, j-just… didn’t sleep well last night, so please don’t… mind!!!”
Luo Yuxi looked at the girl, confused. She seemed to have been electrocuted, her words stuttered and broken. Luo Yuxi was just trying to buy something, why was the girl acting so strangely?
“Well…”
“Oh my, we have a customer. Is there anything I can help you with~?”
“!!!”
Just as Luo Yuxi was about to ask about the girl’s condition, a blonde elven woman with striking eyes emerged from behind the counter. She calmly pulled out a piece of cloth and wiped her hands.
“I apologize for the wait. I spilled my water and made a mess~”

Looking at the elven woman putting on her glasses, Luo Yuxi finally understood. A human girl slumped over the counter, still recovering, and an elven woman using the excuse of a spilled drink. Luo Yuxi felt a shadow pass over her face, her heart pounding.
“I don’t understand, I don’t understand anything, I’m still a child!”
Although she was screaming internally, Luo Yuxi pretended to be oblivious. It was better to turn a blind eye to this kind of bold play.
“I was going to say, I’m going to the Elven Forest, what do I need to prepare…?”
“Oh, you’ve come to the right person. No one knows elves better than I do~”

The elf examined Luo Yuxi from head to toe. Luo Yuxi, thinking she was being judged for her ability to pay, quickly said,

Luo Yuxi looked at the elf, confused. Why did she need more preparation than others? The elf walked around the human girl still slumped over the counter, the sound of water squishing under her shoes. Luo Yuxi couldn’t help but think, They’re really going at it.

“What… what are these strange items?”
Luo Yuxi looked at the items on the counter. Together, they formed a perfect infiltration kit. She was just going on a business trip. The elf, sensing her confusion, explained,
“Elves are obsessed with beauty. And because of the barrier, news of what happens inside rarely reaches the outside world. So if you go in like that~”
The elf clicked her tongue, thinking that Luo Yuxi’s figure and appearance were top-notch. If she hadn’t already found her “true love,” she might have fallen for her as well. She glanced at the human girl on the counter.
“What new games should we play today…?”
After hearing the elf’s advice, Luo Yuxi felt she was exaggerating to sell her goods, so she only bought a veil to cover her face. After all, the protagonist in the game was also depicted as delicate and easily “ridden,” and she could even trigger plot events at the elven brothel. So it shouldn’t be that dangerous.
