Chapter 12: Say Thank You
More than ten corpses lay around Tang Ze, blood flowing like a river. Even his clothes were stained with blood.
The remaining three men, seeing Tang Ze like a god of death, ran towards the elevator.
“Trying to run?”
Tang Ze flung the horse-slaying saber with force. It pierced through all three men, leaving everyone dumbfounded. So strong!
This must be a Shaolin disciple hiding in Meituan (the food delivery company)!
Seeing such a formidable Tang Ze, Ding Feng changed his plans. This guy was too strong for a direct confrontation. He needed to use strategy.
The garage was now filled with the stench of blood and gore. The only men left were Tang Ze and Dong Fei.
In just five minutes, Tang Ze had killed all the men from Building Three. Those who hadn’t come were lucky.
Dong Fei, looking at the demonic Tang Ze, tremblingly took out a cigarette from his pocket. His hand shook so violently that he couldn’t light it, even after several tries.
Tang Ze smiled and took out his lighter. “Out of gas? Here, I have one.”
Dong Fei watched in terror as Tang Ze leaned closer, lighting his cigarette with a few flicks of his wrist.
“You didn’t even try to shield the flame, and you didn’t say thank you. Very impolite.”
Tang Ze said helplessly. Why were people so impolite? He offered a light, the other person should have shielded the flame with their hand. Didn’t they understand basic etiquette?
Dong Fei stammered, “Th… Thank you.”
As soon as he finished speaking, Tang Ze’s fist slammed into Dong Fei’s heart, caving in his chest. Dong Fei crashed into the Porsche 718, shattering the windshield.
“I hate impolite people the most.”
Tang Ze lit a cigarette and glanced around. People from the neighboring buildings were watching. Seeing Tang Ze’s gaze, some instinctively looked away.
Sun Ting and An Bai, looking at the powerful Tang Ze, were glad for their choice. They obediently placed the dog collars into his hand.
In a corner, twelve women huddled, trembling, afraid that Tang Ze would kill them too. Almost all the men in Building Three were dead.
Tang Ze stopped and looked at the group of women. “Lift your heads.”
No one dared to disobey. They raised their heads.
Tang Ze sighed inwardly. None of them were attractive; they were all older women.
“Clean up these intestines, livers, and whatnot. One bottle of water each. Come to Dong Fei’s apartment to collect it.”
Hearing this, the women were instantly motivated. Even those who found their husbands’ bodies among the dead showed no emotion as they cleaned, though a few wept softly.
Seeing Tang Ze leave, Ding Feng turned away with a cold expression.
“Boss, what do we do? Dong Fei’s group has been wiped out.”
“It doesn’t matter that they’re dead, the main thing is the supplies. It’s good that there are fewer mouths to feed.”
A wicked smile appeared on Ding Feng’s lips. He felt that Tang Ze had inadvertently done him a favor. Once he killed Tang Ze, he could take all of Dong Fei’s supplies.
Meanwhile, Tang Ze arrived at Dong Fei’s apartment. Supplies were piled everywhere, but Tang Ze didn’t care much.
He just wanted to see what he had plundered. “Check the bedrooms.”
The two women agreed and opened the bedroom doors. As Sun Ting opened one door, a foul stench assaulted her.
She turned on the light and stared in shock at the corpse on the bed.
Wasn’t this her good friend?
Looking closer, she spotted lividity—dark purplish patches—on the corpse, and the eyes were wide open.
These people hadn’t even spared the dead!
Sun Ting clenched her fists, recalling the scene of Tang Ze slaughtering them, feeling a sense of satisfaction.
An Bai came in and took a look, her eyebrows furrowing. She whispered, “If Ning Gu had sold me, I would have ended up like her.”
“Me too. You check the other bedroom.”
“Okay.”
“What’s wrong?”
Tang Ze walked in and frowned at the corpse on the bed.
“Nothing, just a friend of mine.”
“Oh, throw her out. She stinks.”
Tang Ze covered his nose. These people were truly depraved, playing with a corpse that had been dead for days.
Sun Ting agreed, opened the window, and threw the body out.
“Master, there’s a lot of alcohol and cigarettes here.”
An Bai called out from the master bedroom.
Tang Ze went in and looked. “Wow, Dong Fei was living the good life, hoarding so much stuff, yet so stingy.”
He took a bottle of red wine and walked out of the bedroom, seeing Sun Ting come out. “Go prepare the mineral water. Let them collect it later. A promise is a promise.”
“Okay.”
Tang Ze lay down in a rocking chair and took a sip of wine.
“Then, can I, can I do something?”
An Bai knelt beside Tang Ze and asked obediently. She wanted to be useful. Seeing Sun Ting’s friend’s corpse had made her afraid of being abandoned and suffering the same fate.
Tang Ze smiled and patted his leg.
An Bai paused, then straddled him shyly.
“Here, have some wine.”
Tang Ze handed her the bottle.
An Bai took the wine and brought it to her lips, tilting her head back. Wine flowed down her chin. She was a truly seductive creature.
Just then, the women appeared at the door. Seeing Tang Ze and An Bai in the rocking chair, they paused, but weren’t too surprised. They had seen too much these past few days and were numb.
But as women, they were jealous of their beauty, their clean bodies, and the scent of shower gel.
They could even take showers!
They looked at themselves, their hands covered in blood and grime, worse off than scavengers.
“This is your reward. Take it and go.”
Sun Ting had already arranged everything, one bottle of water per person.
Each woman received her reward. But seeing all the food and the cases of mineral water stacked in the corner, different thoughts arose in their minds.
One woman called the others over and started whispering.
“That’s all the supplies Dong Fei plundered. Is this small amount all we get? It’s too little!”
A 40-year-old woman immediately agreed. “Exactly! We worked so hard moving the bodies, and we only get one bottle of water? This is an insult!”
“Yeah, those three can’t eat all that. Besides, the men are all dead, there’s enough for us.”
They became more and more excited, as if they had returned to the time before the apocalypse.
After a while, the twelve women chose a representative and returned to the door.
“Hello there, I think we’ve met before.”
One of the women smiled at Sun Ting.
Sun Ting looked at the woman, but couldn’t recognize her. “Who are you?”
