Citrus Love Little Green Tea 44

44. It’s All the Ahoge’s Fault

Oblivious to the impending doom, the owner of the ahoge looked around nervously, phone pressed to her ear. “Sister Xia? Eh, is my phone broken? I hear an echo.

Xia Zhibai’s eye twitched, and she reached out and grabbed the crescent-shaped ahoge that was about to slip past. “Stop with the cutesy act, I see you!

Waaah!! Sister Xia!?” Ruo Xiaoxi squeaked, startled.

“Come here.” Xia Zhibai pulled her closer by the ahoge.

“Ow, ow, ow, be gentle!” Ruo Xiaoxi clutched her head, forcing out a few tears as she was dragged over.

Xia Zhibai bent down slightly, tilted Ruo Xiaoxi’s chin up with a finger, and asked with a playful smile, “I thought you were at home? Lying to me?”

“S-school is my home, everyone cares for each other,” Ruo Xiaoxi mumbled, her cheeks pink, avoiding eye contact.

“Still trying to be clever. Hmm? Your lips are so pink, did you put on lip gloss? You look cute today,” Xia Zhibai noticed Ruo Xiaoxi’s careful grooming.

If they weren’t at school, she would have scooped her up and kissed her senseless.

“Of course, I have to look good when I go out.”

“Then why lie to me if you’re already at school? Are you doing something you don’t want me to see?”

“No, no, because… I heard you were at school too, and I wanted to surprise you, like, jump out and hug you from behind, but you found me first…”

Ruo Xiaoxi quickly concocted a little lie.

She had initially wanted to say she was hanging out with friends, but being dressed up like this to meet friends would have raised suspicion, leading to further questioning and possibly a spanking.

“Oh… really? It’s rare for you to come looking for me.” Xia Zhibai tilted her head, her mood brightening at Ruo Xiaoxi’s words, her tone softening.

“Because I get lonely too… but it’s okay, I’ve been playing online games and met some nice people, so I’m having fun.”

“That’s good. Is that the video game you were playing the other night? An online game? I thought it was a mobile game.”

“Ah… that, that, that’s a different kind of video game…” Ruo Xiaoxi stammered, blushing slightly. “Anyway, Sister Xia, don’t worry about me. Focus on your student council work.”

Aww, you’re so understanding. Hugs.

Xia Zhibai was clearly charmed by the little green tea’s act, pretending to be obedient and understanding, playing games by herself when Xia Zhibai was busy. How could she not be endearing?

Although… it was, in fact, a different story altogether.

As Xia Zhibai leaned in for a hug, she whispered mischievously in Ruo Xiaoxi’s ear, “You… aren’t secretly on a date with another girl, are you?”

I’m not stupid. Now that I know you’re a little green tea, I’m more cautious.

Ruo Xiaoxi flinched, shaking her head innocently, denying the accusation.

“Did you see the class assignments? What class are you in?”

“Yes, I’m in Class 4, Grade 1. What about you, Sister Xia?”

“I’m in Class 6, Grade 2. The student council president was a third-year, but he’s focusing on his studies and university entrance exams, so he resigned.”

“Eh, so you inherited a lot of work? Why not give it to someone else?”

“Because somehow, I was elected the new president. It’s such a headache. I don’t know why they chose me, but the previous president seemed to trust me, so it was hard to refuse…”

“S-student council president…” Ruo Xiaoxi gulped.

Sister Xia is the student council president of my high school! Wait! Were those upperclassmen talking about Sister Xia earlier?

Ruo Xiaoxi felt a sudden pressure.

So, I hit on the student council president! And the other upperclassmen probably know I’m the “president’s girlfriend”! Oh no, this could get messy.

Can I… deny it? Even though we’ve… done it twice…

But we did do it, so the relationship is pretty clear… that’s what everyone will think.

Wuwuwu, I’ll never flirt with a rich young lady again. I guess I’ll just have to keep loving her.

Fortunately, Ruo Xiaoxi genuinely liked Xia Zhibai. Even though she craved her blood, her affection was real. She was willing to be shared by all the girls she liked.

“So, if you have any problems at school, you can come to the student council. New students are supposed to join clubs, right? If you want to start your own club, I might be able to help with the funding…”

Xia Zhibai winked, hinting at her influence.

So this is what it’s like to have connections! Ruo Xiaoxi actually wanted to start her own club. Not a “going home” club or a “napping” club, but a tea ceremony club.

No, no, not that kind of tea ceremony, a real one.

Everyone sitting around an elegant, carved wooden table, brewing tea in small cups, sharing snacks and biscuits, like the Light Music Club, or even a snack club, just chatting and relaxing.

A peaceful sanctuary in the midst of busy school life, how wonderful.

Starting a club required space, and if Xia Zhibai could help her find a place… Being the president’s little girlfriend isn’t so bad after all.

“Where are you going next? Want to have lunch with me at the cafeteria? There might be a bit of a wait.”

“Ah, no need. I’ve already eaten. I’ll just check the class list and then go. I’m going shopping with my sister today,” Ruo Xiaoxi said with a sweet smile.

“Sister? You have a sister? A real sister?”

“Yes, yes, her name is Ruo Tianxin. You can meet her sometime, but she’s still in middle school.”

She’s just my little sister. My little sister says purple is a sophisticated color~

Xia Zhibai thought for a moment. She didn’t have time to accompany Ruo Xiaoxi, and she had a lot to do. It wouldn’t be fair to make her wait, so she didn’t try to persuade her to stay.

“Then go ahead, have fun with your sister.” Xia Zhibai hugged Ruo Xiaoxi again.

They were still at the school gate, so no kissing for now. A few student council members had already noticed them and were giggling amongst themselves.

“Little vixen, wearing a black bra, so scandalous,” Xia Zhibai whispered with a smile.

Ruo Xiaoxi, feeling her older sister’s teasing gaze, blushed and quickly excused herself, relieved.

Thank goodness nothing went wrong. She hurried back to Xiao Nuonuo and her sister; they must be waiting.

When Sister Xia had spotted her, she had almost wanted to chop off her ahoge. It was all the ahoge’s fault! Without it, she might have been too short for Xia Zhibai to notice.

That was close! Good thing I’m good at handling crises.

Ruo Xiaoxi clutched her chest, still feeling a little flustered. Eh? Even though I’m in a legitimate relationship with Xiao Nuonuo, why does this feel like a thrilling, forbidden affair behind my older sister’s back…?

Oh no, this little green tea is developing a strange new XP system.
