Chapter 54: The Snow Woman’s Coffin
–Wind Valley
Hidden among the Gray Citadel Spirit Masters, Gong Lianyue carefully concealed her aura.
Not only the Frost Snow Woman, but a Saint-rank Spirit Master from the Storm Realm seemed to have entered the fray, not to mention the Wrathful Saintess.
Three Saint-ranks in the Wind Valley at the same time… And these people still delusional enough to want a piece of the action. How utterly naive.
She would find an opportunity to ambush the scarred woman and then immediately flee the Wind Valley. This place was far too dangerous.
“The Frost Snow Woman’s aura still lingers. It seems she doesn’t have a specific target, but is searching for something.”
“This is our chance! We have to find the Frost Snow Woman before those others!!!”
Heh, and what if you find her?
Gong Lianyue sneered inwardly. These people must have read too many fantasy novels. They had no idea how weak they were.
Did they really think this group of small fries could handle a true Saint-rank?
Jumping into a river would be a faster way to reincarnate.
“Hey, do you feel cold? Why did the temperature suddenly drop?”
“Do you?” Gong Lianyue replied casually, hearing a nearby Gray Citadel Spirit Master’s question.
Suddenly, her teardrop eyes narrowed beneath her cloak.
At some point, the air had become filled with cold frost and snow, an icy aura spreading rapidly.
Due to her high cold resistance, she hadn’t noticed, but the entire valley was now enveloped in an icy mist.
The mist was right before their eyes, yet these Spirit Masters, their minds and spirits seemingly frozen, remained oblivious.
“Achoo!! With the temperature dropping so much, the Frost Snow Woman must be nearby! Everyone, summon your spirit beasts and lure her over!”
The scarred woman’s face was filled with excitement. Then she noticed something was wrong with her companions.
They were staring behind her, their faces contorted in shock and terror.
“What’s wrong?”
“What are you looking at…?”
“Y-You…”
A chilling wind numbed the scarred woman. Realizing something, she slowly turned her head.
Her heart almost stopped.
A massive Snow Woman in a shroud-like robe stood behind her, her cold, vacant eyes radiating a terrifying chill, her long white hair flowing behind her like waves for more than ten meters.
Her aura was calm, serene, an aura that seemed to invite eternal slumber.
The Frost Snow Woman, a Saint-rank spirit beast.
So beautiful…
This was the first time Gong Lianyue had seen a real Saint-rank spirit beast. She was instantly captivated by the Snow Woman’s ethereal beauty.
Her soft, white eyebrows were lowered, her serene appearance like a painting, breathtakingly beautiful, dreamlike.
Staring at the Snow Woman for a moment, a drop of cold sweat trickled down Gong Lianyue’s forehead.
She realized the Snow Woman was also looking at her.
I only glanced at you accidentally. There’s no need to chase me into the Wind Valley!!!
The next second, the Snow Woman’s sleeve flickered as she reached out.
“…”
“…”
Swish!!
In the blink of an eye, Gong Lianyue had retreated more than ten meters.
Abandoning all pretense, she climbed onto the Iron Jade Ice Scorpion’s back and fled, quickly disappearing from sight.
Seeing the familiar ice scorpion, the scarred woman froze, her mind reeling. She shook her head to clear her thoughts.
“Ignore that Sea Concubine Palace girl! Focus on the Frost Snow Woman!!”
“Awooo!!!”
At the scarred woman’s command, a ferocious roar echoed through the valley.
A terrifying skeletal wolf stood before the Snow Woman, its appearance incredibly ferocious, its bony frame trembling slightly.
[High-rank Terror Carrion Wolf]
[Mid-rank Wind Binding]
[Mid-rank Rage Wind Giant]
[Mid-rank Wind Elemental Commander]
[——]
Seven or eight wind-attribute spirit beasts of various shapes and sizes materialized.
The scarred woman’s nervousness turned to excitement as she realized this Frost Snow Woman was only at the Dead Sea Stage.
A Dead Sea Stage Saint-rank was just a child! Working together, they had a chance to defeat her!!!
Watching the blue-haired girl flee, a puzzled expression appeared on the Snow Woman’s calm face.
Then she looked at the strange, giant creatures blocking her path, her pale face turning cold once more.
A chilling wave of spirit energy radiated from her, an icy aura spreading outwards, the Spirit Masters and their spirit beasts before her tensing up.
Boom!!!!
A few seconds later, a massive object fell from the sky, shattering the ground.
A deafening crash echoed in everyone’s ears, dust and debris obscuring their vision.
As the Carrion Wolf cleared the dust with a swipe of its claw, the Gray Citadel Spirit Masters stared in horror at the massive object before them.
Was that… a coffin?
A massive ice coffin, nearly ten meters long, covered in snowflake patterns, radiating an icy chill from a crack in its lid.
The Snow Woman gently stroked the side of the coffin, her expression soft.
As the ice coffin landed, the temperature plummeted, making it difficult for the Spirit Masters to breathe.
Not because of the cold, but because of the terrifying aura emanating from within the coffin, filling them with dread.
It was as if… a god resided within…
