I’ll stop using “he”(she) as it’s getting redundant, at least for me. The protagonist uses the Chinese “she” (她 – tā), which is pronounced the same as the Chinese “he” (他 – tā). Therefore, to someone listening to the protagonist, her “she” sounds just like “he.”, So now I’ll use just “he” according to the context.
Chapter Twenty-Five
Summer days are long and nights are short. Soon, the sky was slightly bright again, and the wind blew across the windowsill.
Chun Yuan heard movement in the room, walked lightly to the bed, lifted the crimson gauze curtain, and saw that Bo Chi had already woken up. At this moment, her fragrant shoulders were half-exposed, her black hair covered her snowy back, and she was lazily tying the belt of her inner garment.
Chun Yuan glanced at her and hurriedly lowered her head: “Princess, why did you wake up so early today? Wait a moment, this servant will go and get your clothes.”
“Wait.” Bo Chi stopped her, turned her face and asked: “Has Yu Zhao gotten up?”
Chun Yuan nodded: “The Fuma woke up earlier than yesterday. He went to the training ground first, and then went to the study, and hasn’t come out yet.”
“Of course he woke up early, not doing any mischief.” Bo Chi hummed, and then said with a little smugness: “There’s no one to serve him in the study. I see he hasn’t come out, I’m afraid he’s been bullied and is hiding inside crying silently.”
Chun Yuan: “Huh?”
The simple maid didn’t understand her master’s words, nor did she understand how the Fuma, who was so cold and dangerous, and only obedient to the princess, could cry in private.
She tried to recall the Fuma’s expression when she went to the kitchen half an hour ago and happened to bump into him on the way back. She vaguely remembered that the other party seemed to be in a good mood, and didn’t just glance at her coldly and leave as usual, but stopped and nodded to her, and asked about the princess’s preferences.
Judging from the Fuma’s calm expression, it was completely impossible to see that he would hide and cry.
Just thinking about that scene, Chun Yuan felt it was extremely strange.
However, since the princess said it, Chun Yuan, no matter how much her hair stood on end, firmly nodded: “So that’s it. So, the princess woke up so early today to go to the study and comfort the Fuma?”
Bo Chi was exposed, and was a little embarrassed for a moment: “I woke up naturally, it has nothing to do with Yu Zhao! Forget it, go and get the clothes, don’t babble here.”
Chun Yuan innocently hummed.
After washing up, the table outside was filled with breakfast. Every dessert and porridge was steaming, looking delicious and appetizing.
Bo Chi tasted a few bites, but because she kept thinking about Yu Zhao, she didn’t taste anything for a long time.
Eating without taste was no fun, so she simply put down her bowl and chopsticks and stood up: “Go to the study.”
The study was very quiet.
Yu Zhao was not reading, but standing in front of the fish tank that the servants had just bought, carefully trimming the delicate bowl lotus. After trimming, she placed the lotus on the water, and then stirred the water where several fish were swimming. After admiring it for a moment with satisfaction, she was about to lift the fish tank and take it to the princess when her beloved came to her first.
“What are you doing alone in the study?” The little princess was always full of energy. After knocking on the door, she poked her head in: “Sadness is sadness, but you still have to eat… Huh, there are fish in the study?”
Seeing that she really liked it as Chun Yuan said, Yu Zhao was slightly relieved, and beckoned to her with a smile: “I asked the servants to buy this just now. I planned to set it up and send it to you. It’s still early summer, but when the sun gets stronger, you definitely won’t want to go out. At that time, you can stay in your room, eat some fruits, and tease the little fish.”
Hearing this, Bo Chi’s happy expression paused, and she said suspiciously: “Offering courtesy without reason, it’s either treachery or theft. Tell me, what bad idea are you planning again?”
Her alert appearance was too cute. Yu Zhao couldn’t help but flick the pearls hanging from her hairpin with her finger, and said with a smile that wasn’t quite a smile: “Either treachery or theft, didn’t I just, these past two days, just com…”
Just hearing the beginning, Bo Chi was so embarrassed that her face turned red. She shamefully pounced on her and covered her mouth, and said in a rather broken voice: “Can you just say that casually? Yu Zhao! Do you have any shame!”
Yu Zhao wrapped her arms around her waist, and pressed her against the bookshelf. Her lips kissed the girl’s soft palm, sometimes touching, sometimes not, until the little princess was so frightened that she retracted her claws, then she smiled and said: “Chun Yuan is very sensible now. She closed the door when she saw you come in. There are only the two of us in the room, so isn’t everything I say bedroom fun? What do you say, my little princess?”
As she spoke, she lowered her head, her breath wandering around Bo Chi’s snow-white neck.
Bo Chi’s fingers unconsciously tightened her clothes. Although her almond eyes were filled with spring haze, she still said pantingly, not giving in: “Don’t, don’t think that by flattering me with these things, I will be lenient with you and soften my heart and stop bullying you. I’m telling you, I hold grudges! I’m not easy to mess with!”
Yu Zhao chuckled, and said truthfully: “It’s not flattery, it’s to thank the princess for saving me again and again, and always keeping me in your heart – like last night’s excuse of not seeing anyone.”
Bo Chi: “???”
What, you’re sending gifts to thank me for not letting you get into bed?
Good heavens, this is definitely sarcasm!
Bo Chi was slapped around in confusion, and when she left after tidying up her silk skirt, she was still confused and took the fish tank with her.
Chun Yuan was very happy to see it, and praised: “This servant only said in the morning that you like to admire flowers and tease fish, and before noon, the Fuma has arranged the fish tank for you. Princess, the Fuma is truly deeply in love with you!”
“Is that so?” Bo Chi always felt that something was wrong, but she couldn’t find the reason. She could only lower her head and look at the fish’s beady eyes, and said hesitantly: “Since she’s so thoughtful, then this princess will reluctantly forgive her and let her enter the room tonight.”
Chun Yuan was overjoyed, and spared no effort: “The princess is so kind!”
Bo Chi was happy to be coaxed, and nodded demurely.
But she still didn’t give up on the idea of bullying Yu Zhao.
Anyway, she and Yu Zhao were husband and wife now, there was plenty of time and opportunity to make trouble, she wasn’t afraid that she wouldn’t be able to avenge the grudges on her little notebook!
Bo Chi was confident, returned to her room, took a bath first, washed away the sweat, and then began to whisper to the little fish.
Soon, she came up with an earth-shattering, brilliant plan!
That night, Yu Zhao came back after finishing her work outside. As soon as she stepped into the room, she bumped into a hazy veil.
She closed the door in confusion, reached out and was about to pull off the white veil that covered her face, when a warm and soft body suddenly crashed into her arms, and kissed her through the veil.
The thin white veil instantly became moist, and also blocked the girl’s mischievous little tongue. The other party, relying on the obstruction of this thin veil, was particularly unrestrained and slyly tracing her lips.
Yu Zhao’s heart trembled. It was the first time she had been kissed so proactively by the princess. For a moment, she forgot everything, and raised her hand to embrace the girl’s waist.
Her touch was met with delicate softness.
Yu Zhao didn’t react at first, and touched it twice more before she was stunned.
The princess standing in front of her… was actually naked from the waist up!
A rush of blood surged to her head. Yu Zhao no longer cared about anything else, pulled off the white veil in a flurry, eagerly and greedily craving Bo Chi. Her movements were no longer as gentle as before, making Bo Chi’s tongue numb.
Their steps were hasty, they kissed as they walked, not separating for a moment.
It wasn’t until they rolled onto the bed, and Yu Zhao lowered her head in a daze, intending to change positions, that Bo Chi finally caught her breath. Her slender, white hands cupped her face, and she said with a flushed face: “I have a surprise to tell you.”
Yu Zhao’s voice had become hoarse at some point: “What?”
Bo Chi leaned close to her ear and exhaled like an orchid: “I got my period today.”
