9. The Vampire Princess of the Middle Ages
“Waaah, no, stop it, it hurts!” Hearing she was about to get hit, Ruo Xiaoxi covered her head and tried to act cute.
She was afraid that one little punch would finish her off.
“I may understand humans better than you think,” Chrissy continued.
“As for what you said earlier, about girls your age, I once had a little friend like that. She also fantasized about falling in love with the person she admired.”
“Holding a bouquet of flowers, she would chatter on and on about some brave and fearless knight, some handsome and elegant prince. In the end, she gave me her first kiss~”
“Wow, you turned her gay! You’re so evil—and then? What happened?” Ruo Xiaoxi couldn’t resist her curiosity and wanted all the juicy details.
“Mmm… so much happened. I couldn’t tell you everything in three days and three nights.”
Chrissy gently pressed her face against Ruo Xiaoxi’s back and closed her eyes. For a vampire, it was indeed a long time ago.
“To put it simply, we were like best friends. We would go shopping together in the town market, ride in bumpy carriages across dirt roads, and pick flowers in green meadows.”
“I still remember how she taught me to weave flower baskets. I watched her grow up from a young teenager, from a girl to a young woman, and from a young woman to a mature lady.”
“Later, I remember standing from afar, watching human conflicts. That era was quite complex, now just a record in history books. I watched her grown-up figure in the crowd, wearing armor and holding a large flag, fighting against the theocracy and the Church of that time.”
“And then, after who knows how long, I returned to see my friend… When she said to me once again, ‘Haha, you haven’t changed a bit, you’re so cute,’ I realized she had grown old. The last time I saw her, I picked the flowers we used to pick together and placed them on her grave.”
“Waaaaah, it’s the lifespan argument! Don’t hurt me with feels, don’t hurt me!” Ruo Xiaoxi’s heart tightened. Hearing Chrissy’s story filled her with unexpected sadness.
This wasn’t what she had imagined! The atmosphere suddenly became heavy!
So… Chrissy was a vampire from that era, all the way to the present day? She had thought Chrissy was just some random vampire loli who had bitten her and turned her into a girl.
“So, I was thinking that if you were too lonely, you could date me. But it seems you’re already having fun? Do you have a favorite older sister?”
“Hmph, yeah, I have lots of pretty older sisters. You’re not even in the running, Chrissy,” Ruo Xiaoxi teased deliberately.
“You little flirt, spreading your affections everywhere. When they find out, those girls will definitely come after you in a rage, hold you down in front of a mirror in an M-shape and ask you who you love the most.”
“M-shape is way too lewd,” Ruo Xiaoxi murmured. “I just… don’t want to be hungry. I can only get close to girls secretly, looking for opportunities to eat my fill…”
Xia Zhibai was a little slip-up. She had been attracted to her beauty and sweet scent, thinking her blood must be delicious, so she had chased after her, calling her “big sister” and asking for her contact information.
Plus, Xia Zhibai was a rich young lady, a classic “Bai Fumei,” and she always had a cold expression, making it difficult to get close.
Finally, after much sweet-talking and persistence, Ruo Xiaoxi managed to gain a bit of her trust, making her open up. She had said “I like you” no less than fifty times, becoming a complete little fan girl.
Thankfully, just when she was about to starve, she managed to sneak a taste of Xia Zhibai’s blood.
“Little green tea~ It’s not good to be a player. Be careful, or those older sisters will gang up on you,” Chrissy teased.
“Can getting a meal be called green tea behavior? Who’s the player here?! I just want to give every girl a warm little nest!” Ruo Xiaoxi declared righteously.
Stupid men don’t understand girls. She understood. Only she cared for her older sisters~
—And then, after eating her fill, she’d put on her dress, give them the “let’s just be friends” card, and run!
So, love disappears, right? No, love is transferred.
To the next meal ticket… oh no, to the next older sister.
She gave those “let’s just be friends” cards sincerely, because those who fed her were good people. There was no mockery intended. She was grateful and would do her best to reciprocate.
As for love and all that, Ruo Xiaoxi wasn’t quite sure. But when she was hungry, she would resort to any means necessary, even sweet-talking an older sister to the point of having her future children take her last name.
She was a sweetheart, a little cotton-padded jacket for all the girls.
She wondered how Chrissy, as a vampire princess, handled her daily feeding. Maybe they could discuss it, dress up, and go fishing for older sisters together, two lolis on the prowl?
But then she remembered that Chrissy was much more powerful than she imagined, and she fell silent.
So she was a vampire princess from the Middle Ages… Was it fortunate or unfortunate that she had been chosen?
Chrissy noticed Ruo Xiaoxi’s sudden silence, seemingly able to read her mind.
“Hee hee, is it because I said something serious earlier that you’re not used to it? Actually, those things have nothing to do with you. Don’t take it to heart.”
“But if you want to know, I’ll tell you more later. Little cutie, let me rub, rub, rub…”
Before leaving, let’s “strengthen” our bond a little more.
Ruo Xiaoxi’s cheeks flushed as she felt Chrissy’s restless little hands.
“Yaaah! Stop it. Chrissy!”
“Calling me by my name? How disrespectful. Call me ‘sister’.”
“Let go first, you’re hurting me!”
“Call me ‘sister’.”
“Mmm… sis-sister.”
“That’s right, be polite.”
“But why are you still rubbing!?”
“Because I can’t accept yours being bigger than mine. I’m the older sister, after all.”
“???! You should ask yourself that!”
“Naughty little sister, still talking back? Next time, I’ll let you taste my feet~”
