Miss Luo Yan’s Feet Are Buried With Corpses 5

Girl Doesn’t Die in Fairytale Town: Chapter 5 – “Fear”

The scent of danger clung to Luo Yan’s nose. The moment she turned and saw the lightly armored woman above her, her heart pounded in her chest.

Perhaps due to her frail constitution, in this life-or-death crisis, Luo Yan felt a sense of trance and bewilderment.

“No…”

Luo Yan gritted her teeth, trying to regain her senses, but she sank deeper.

The familiar scenes of the town were gradually replaced by a blood-red hue. The bright sun in the sky instantly dimmed, transforming into a bright, seemingly eternal moon.

Under the moonlight, Luo Yan vaguely saw a somewhat familiar lightly armored woman kneeling on the ground.

In front of her lay a dying old man, a dagger piercing his heart.

The old man’s lips parted slightly, emitting a weak, pained groan.

“Ling Qi…”

For some reason, Luo Yan inexplicably echoed the old man’s words, softly uttering,

“It’s not your fault…”

The moment Luo Yan spoke, Ling Qi felt a chill run down her spine, utterly shocked.

How… how did she know my name?!

And those words, that tone, sounded so familiar…

Could it be…

No, that’s impossible!

The silver-haired girl’s crimson eyes dimmed, but what followed was a look that Ling Qi would never forget until the end of her life.

“Go… Don’t look back…”

This was Ling Qi’s unwilling-to-remember past, the deepest scar in her heart.

On her way to defecting to the Dawn organization, she had personally killed her master who had come to stop her.

But before her master died, he had used his last strength to raise his hand, gently stroking her hair as he always did, smiling and forgiving her.

At this moment, the silver-haired girl’s expression, eyes, and words… were exactly the same as Ling Qi’s master, buried deep in her memory.

This was a scene she recalled countless nights, yet never dared to face.

Ling Qi’s expression completely crumbled. She stumbled backward, collapsing onto the ground, her dagger flung several meters away. She mumbled in a daze,

“I’m sorry, Master, I didn’t mean to… I’m sorry…”

At the same time, Luo Yan saw the old man and the woman in front of her gradually disappear, the moon replaced by the bright sun.

Soon, her consciousness returned to the town.

The first thing Luo Yan saw when she came to was the lightly armored woman sitting on the ground, sobbing, which almost startled her.

But she quickly recognized her. This lightly armored woman was the “Ling Qi” she had just seen in her vision.

“What’s going on?”

Luo Yan touched her chin, her face full of confusion.

Was the vision she had just seen actually this Miss Ling Qi’s memory?

But why did she look so distraught?

No… Luo Yan thought carefully. It seemed to be more than just a memory.

She glanced at Ling Qi. Within her expression of pain and utter breakdown, there was another emotion.

—”Fear.”

“Could it be that I unintentionally used some special ability, awakening the fear in Ling Qi’s memories?”

Although Luo Yan hadn’t encountered this situation before, judging from Ling Qi’s current state and what she had just seen and heard, this was probably the only explanation.

Exploring this strange ability could wait. More importantly, right now…

Luo Yan looked at Ling Qi, who was half-kneeling on the ground, and frowned slightly, her expression becoming serious.

“What’s going on… I seem to be able to see her?”

Luo Yan could clearly see Ling Qi. She was no longer a figure made of scribbled lines but a clear and distinct image.

But it was limited to Ling Qi. Only Ling Qi herself was clear. Even the blood flowing from her wounds looked like roughly smeared red lines.

This was the first time Luo Yan had seen something clearly. In the past, even her own reflection in the mirror was just a silvery-white figure.

Luo Yan rubbed her eyes and looked around, finally confirming that her vision hadn’t suddenly recovered.

Only Ling Qi was clear; everything else was still a scribbled image.

“An outsider…”

Could it be related to Ling Qi’s status as an outsider?

But she had seen outsiders before, and they were the same as the town’s residents, only appearing as vague figures.

Before Luo Yan could dwell on this, she heard Ling Qi’s sobs gradually diminish and finally disappear altogether.

Perhaps due to her accumulated injuries, coupled with the fear induced by Luo Yan, after her tightly wound emotions snapped, Ling Qi didn’t cry for long before her body tilted back, and she fell unconscious.

“Did I scare her to death?”

Luo Yan was startled and quickly moved closer, reaching out to check Ling Qi’s nose.

“Phew… good, good. She’s still breathing. That’s good…”

Although Luo Yan was puzzled by everything that had just happened, she still didn’t understand what the other party was trying to do.

Did she want to kill her? But Ling Qi hadn’t even drawn the dagger from her waist.

But if she had no ill intentions, why did she use some special ability to get behind her…

“So now, what should I do?”

To be honest, Luo Yan was in a dilemma.

For her own safety, it would be best to ignore this strange outsider.

But the other party had fallen unconscious because of her, and was already seriously injured. Ignoring her would be no different from killing her.

“No matter what, she doesn’t look… like a bad person?”

Luo Yan squatted down and couldn’t resist poking Ling Qi’s cheek.

Ling Qi didn’t seem much older than Luo Yan. Her severe injuries gave her a somewhat pitiful air, and her blood-stained cheeks hinted at delicate features.

She curled up slightly, seemingly still trembling.

At this moment, Ling Qi was barely breathing. The forced spatial jump had aggravated her injuries, and after being further stimulated by Luo Yan, she was now hovering on the brink of death.

After thinking about it, Luo Yan still felt she couldn’t just stand by and do nothing.

She couldn’t bear to watch someone die right in front of her without doing anything.

And there was another crucial point: Ling Qi was currently the only being Luo Yan could see clearly.

Perhaps from her, she could find the true cause of her illness.

“Never mind, a life is at stake. At worst, I’ll take her weapons and tie her up!” Luo Yan clenched her small fists. “That way, even if she wakes up, she won’t be able to resist!”

There happened to be an empty, dilapidated wooden cart nearby. After making her decision, Luo Yan immediately took action.

First, she had to drag the unconscious Ling Qi onto the cart. Luo Yan pulled on her armor and helped her up, expecting to exert a lot of effort, but she was surprised to find that Ling Qi was excessively light, like a pile of feathers.

However, there were many strange things about Ling Qi, and this was just a minor one, which made Luo Yan’s task much easier.

After placing Ling Qi on the cart, Luo Yan took the straw rope from the cart and carefully tied her up several times, avoiding her wounds, finally securing it with a tight knot.

Even if Ling Qi used her special ability of teleportation again, these measures would be enough to prevent her from doing anything.

After all this preparation, Luo Yan, supporting herself with her cane, pushed the cart step by step towards the manor.

The distance to the hospital from here was much farther than the distance back to the manor. It was better to just go back, as there was always a first-aid kit at home.

However, what Luo Yan didn’t see was that Ling Qi, who was clear in her eyes, was gradually turning back into scribbles, starting from her wounds and slowly spreading throughout her body.

Ling Qi’s complexion began to improve, in a strangely eerie way.

I wonder what her ‘core’ ability is?

Spatial distortion, mind reading, impersonation, and healing

Those are her current sub abilities

I don’t think it’s healing. When I read the synopsis, I interpreted one line as” If Miss Lou Yan can’t see you, you’re probable dead” or something like that.

I also think immortality as it mentioned blood letting and how she didnt know of cameras plus the added of not knowing time. And the mention of ancient scrips in her eyes
