Side Story 1-2
Li Fan practically fled.
She ran about ten meters away from the car before Li Qinyue released Zhuo Zhi, her smile gone, her expression cold. She stepped on the gas, the car lurching forward at an odd angle.
Zhuo Zhi, catching her breath, didn’t dare to speak.
After driving for a block, Li Qinyue suddenly asked, “Was I being too petty?”
“No, no, no,” Zhuo Zhi waved her hand frantically, “It was necessary, completely necessary.”
“You sound so insincere,” Li Qinyue’s expression remained unchanged.
Honesty was the foundation of their communication. Zhuo Zhi, having just been caught being insincere, didn’t dare to hide anything now. She looked at Li Qinyue and said, “I was just… a little surprised.”
“Surprised about what?”
“That you would… do that in front of Li Fan,” Zhuo Zhi bit her lip.
Li Qinyue glanced at her, “Should I have done it in front of that junior instead?”
“Ah…” Zhuo Zhi paused, “Isn’t that the standard procedure?”
“Are you really that naive?” Li Qinyue asked, “Couldn’t you tell that Li Fan was interested in you?”
“Huh???” Zhuo Zhi’s confusion was evident.
Li Qinyue nodded, “You’re amazing, Xiao Hua.”
The car finally pulled into the parking garage of their apartment building.
Li Qinyue ordered takeout. As they ate, she watched TV, seemingly relaxed. After dinner, she beckoned to Zhuo Zhi, “Come here.”
Zhuo Zhi’s heart had been pounding, she quickly went over to Li Qinyue.
Li Qinyue pulled her down onto the sofa, took out her phone, played a video, and projected it onto the TV screen.
It was an animated film, with a simple art style and a cute soundtrack.
Li Qinyue didn’t say anything. Zhuo Zhi watched for about twenty seconds, then turned to Li Qinyue and said, “I really didn’t know, Sister. If I had known, I wouldn’t have talked to her.”
“Hmm,” Li Qinyue responded, pulling Zhuo Zhi closer.
“I didn’t know about that kiss either, I wouldn’t have let it happen if I had,” Zhuo Zhi bit her lip, “How about you come to the academy’s social gathering next time, Sister?”
“What for?” Li Qinyue’s eyes were on the TV screen, “To reenact what we just did in the car in front of all your classmates and teachers?”
“That’s not a bad idea,” Zhuo Zhi nodded seriously.
“It’s a terrible idea,” Li Qinyue said, “Don’t take this lightly, it would have a huge impact.”
“Not necessarily, it’s a new era…” Zhuo Zhi mumbled.
“You’re likely to enter the public sector in the future,” Li Qinyue put her arm around Zhuo Zhi, gently squeezing her neck, “Besides, do you think you’ll have fewer female admirers after coming out?”
“There aren’t many girls in our academy to begin with!” Zhuo Zhi exclaimed.
“Heh, you’re so clueless,” Li Qinyue tilted her chin at the TV, “You’ll have more female admirers than male admirers.”
“Huh?”
“Want me to list them for you?” Li Qinyue’s eyes narrowed.
“No, no need,” Zhuo Zhi knew better than to challenge her.
“Watch the movie,” Li Qinyue said, “It’s starting.”
At first, Zhuo Zhi thought, It’s just a cartoon, if Sister wants to watch it, I’ll watch it with her.
Two minutes into the movie, she sighed inwardly, People never change.
How could Li Qinyue, in this situation, act like an innocent and naive girl?
The two female characters in the animation were doing all sorts of things, their movements becoming increasingly suggestive, their bodies contorting in impossible ways, the voice acting escalating to the point where Zhuo Zhi started to worry about the soundproofing of their apartment.
Zhuo Zhi took a sip of water and glanced at Li Qinyue, “Sister, this is…”
“I told you, I’ll do everything I promised,” Li Qinyue’s tone and expression were serious, her face illuminated by the TV screen, almost glowing with an angelic light.
If it weren’t for the explicit content on the screen, Zhuo Zhi might have been moved to tears.
“So?” Zhuo Zhi’s lips twitched.
Li Qinyue finally turned to look at her, “I promised to watch a movie with you.”
“Sister, I don’t think we need this anymore…”
“What, are you complaining that I took too long?”
“No, I mean, I’ve learned and applied your teachings, we’re quite harmonious now, aren’t we?”
“Do you know why I haven’t shown you this before?” Li Qinyue completely ignored her words.
“Why?” Zhuo Zhi had no choice but to follow her lead.
“I couldn’t find the right one,” Li Qinyue said, “I don’t want you looking at other women’s naked bodies.”
Zhuo Zhi bit her lip, speechless.
She had seen her fair share of naked bodies in the dorm, her roommates didn’t mind, and Zhuo Zhi herself was indifferent. It had become normal.
And now, even watching movies was restricted, the air thick with jealousy and possessiveness. It gave Zhuo Zhi goosebumps.
It was awkward, and also… a little exciting?
“Ahem,” Zhuo Zhi coughed, raising an eyebrow, “There’s no shortage of animated porn, you searched for this long?”
“Most of them are too crude, not suitable for children,” Li Qinyue frowned at the screen, “The plot is either too cliché or too short, the body proportions, the camera angles, the colors, the texture…”
“Sister, Sister, Sister,” Zhuo Zhi interrupted her, grabbing her hand, “Look at me.”
“I am looking at you,” Li Qinyue’s eyes sparkled.
“First of all, I’ve learned a lot,” Zhuo Zhi said, “Secondly, is this really that important?”
“Is it not important?” Li Qinyue’s brows furrowed, “Have you been watching other movies behind my back?”
“No, no, no, why would I need to watch others when I have you?”
“Good,” Li Qinyue put her arm around Zhuo Zhi’s waist, “I prepared this specifically for you, pay attention, I wrote the script.”
“Damn…” Zhuo Zhi couldn’t help but curse. She looked at Li Qinyue, a mix of admiration and disbelief. “You actually wrote this?”
“Yep,” Li Qinyue’s fingers gently squeezed her waist.
“Who drew it?” Zhuo Zhi stared at the screen.
“I’m not that good at drawing,” Li Qinyue said, “I revised the character designs ten times, do you think this one looks like you?”
“Looks like me?!” Zhuo Zhi stared at the two characters on the screen. They had perfect bodies, but their styles were completely different. If Li Qinyue hadn’t said anything, she would never have associated them with herself.
“It’s a bit abstract,” Li Qinyue’s voice was laced with amusement, “But I like this one the most.”
“Do you have that much free time, Sister?”
“No.”
“Do you have that much money to burn?”
“Is this not a good way to spend my money?”
“Are you planning to release this online?”
“Do you want other people to see you naked?”
“That’s not me!” Zhuo Zhi exclaimed, jumping off the sofa and pacing around the coffee table, “This, you, you…”
Li Qinyue watched her intently.
Zhuo Zhi paced for a while, her emotions too complex to express in words. Being with Li Qinyue always led to strange and unexpected experiences.
“Stop pacing, you’re making me dizzy,” Li Qinyue patted the sofa beside her, “We still have today’s debt to settle.”
“Can’t we just do it like last time?” Zhuo Zhi thought that had been the peak of embarrassment, it seemed the unknown was even more terrifying.
“Do you know what couples fear the most?” Li Qinyue said, “Losing that spark. We haven’t been together that long.”
“I still feel the spark,” Zhuo Zhi protested.
“Come here,” Li Qinyue’s voice turned cold.
“But a little excitement every now and then… is good too,” Zhuo Zhi said, changing her tune.
After she sat down beside Li Qinyue obediently, Li Qinyue picked up her phone and rewound the animated movie.
This time, without Zhuo Zhi asking, she explained, “Knowing the backstory and context enhances the appreciation of art.”
Zhuo Zhi stared at her.
Li Qinyue smiled, “Don’t look at me, I’ll quiz you later, if you can’t answer my questions, we’ll watch it again.”
Zhuo Zhi felt a rush of blood to her head.
Shame was a strange emotion. Having grown up carefree and optimistic, under the protection of her powerful and hot-tempered Master, Zhuo Zhi hadn’t experienced it often.
It had become a frequent occurrence after meeting Li Qinyue and starting their unusual relationship. But after they became intimate, familiar with every inch of each other’s bodies, the shame had gradually subsided.
Li Qinyue, as Zhuo Zhi’s guide in this area, had been gentle and patient.
This was commendable.
Li Qinyue was open-minded and treated Zhuo Zhi with tenderness, allowing her to experience the joys and excitement of a loving relationship. This was also commendable.
Now, Li Qinyue was using this bizarre method to reawaken Zhuo Zhi’s sense of shame, making her blood boil. Zhuo Zhi couldn’t think straight, she didn’t know if this was right or wrong, commendable or damaging.
Light and shadows flickered on the screen. It wasn’t even dark yet, the sun was still shining outside, but the atmosphere in the room was both erotic and awkward. Zhuo Zhi felt a tingling sensation on the back of her neck, spreading down her spine.
Li Qinyue watched intently, a faint smile on her lips.
The animation wasn’t long, but every second was torture for Zhuo Zhi. And Li Qinyue, having put so much effort into this, had impeccable timing. Just when Zhuo Zhi thought she could handle it, the intensity would escalate.
When the screen went black, Zhuo Zhi couldn’t even breathe.
Li Qinyue said to her, “So, Comrade Xiao Hua, share your thoughts and feelings.”
“If you used this much energy to make a movie, we’d be rich,” Zhuo Zhi said.
“Aren’t we rich enough?”
“We could be richer.”
“What good would that do?”
“Well…” Zhuo Zhi bit her lip, “You might be… more open-minded?”
Li Qinyue picked up her phone, “There’s another episode, I was going to save it for next time, but…”
“Sister!” Zhuo Zhi pounced on her, grabbing her phone and throwing it onto the other side of the sofa, pinning Li Qinyue’s arm down to prevent further mischief. “It’s a good idea, but there’s really no need.”
“No need for what?”
“I haven’t seen you for so long, I missed you,” Zhuo Zhi nuzzled Li Qinyue’s cheek with her nose, “Right now, a kiss is more important.”
“I told you, I need to study,” Li Qinyue gently nibbled on her lip.
“Hmm?”
“What was the first move again?”
As art imitated life, time seemed to stretch infinitely.
Zhuo Zhi, recalling the scenes from the movie, savored the exquisite pleasure, her eyes watching the setting sun paint the sky with golden hues.
As her body trembled gently, all traces of shame and resentment vanished, replaced by a wave of tenderness. Her voice, soft as a whisper, brushed against Li Qinyue’s ear.
“Sister, I’ll never love anyone the way I love you, don’t worry, you’re the only one I can handle.”
Li Qinyue’s breath hitched, her reply a soft murmur, “But the world is vast, there are more interesting people out there.”
“No, there aren’t,” Zhuo Zhi hugged her tightly, her voice filled with conviction, “You’re the best, I wouldn’t be me without you, you’re my whole world.”
Li Qinyue chuckled softly, “Smooth talker.”
“I mean it.”
“Silly girl.”
“I love you too.”
