Green Tea Villainess Fails 1

Chapter 1

“Thief! Help!”

Zuo Bian felt dizzy, a strange voice chattering incessantly in her head.

Someone’s belongings were snatched? Zuo Bian looked towards the source of the commotion.

A strangely dressed girl stamped her feet anxiously, while a short-haired man ran away clutching a bag. Several people carrying black boxes stood idly by, watching without offering help.

A sense of righteousness surged within Zuo Bian. Without a second thought, she sprinted towards the thief.

“Ha!” Zuo Bian launched a flying kick into the man’s back, sending him tumbling to the ground. She swiftly pinned his arms and snatched back the oddly shaped bag.

The male lead, robbed of his heroic moment, was dumbfounded. The surrounding film crew was also stunned. Wasn’t he supposed to be the one rescuing the female lead? Where did this woman come from?

Zuo Bian was completely oblivious to their reactions. The voice in her head buzzed like an annoying fly.

“Your belongings.” Zuo Bian presented the bag to the girl.

The girl stared blankly at Zuo Bian, unsure whether to accept it.

“Which crew are you from? Why did you steal the male lead’s scene?” The director strode towards Zuo Bian, his left hand on his hip, his right hand holding a loudspeaker.

Zuo Bian turned around, looking at him with confusion, uncertain if he was addressing her.

The moment the director saw Zuo Bian’s face, he froze. Was this a celestial being descending from the heavens? She possessed an ethereal aura and a classical elegance. With such beauty, she could be a rising star from another film crew.

“Apologies, apologies! This is our young miss. We apologize for interrupting your filming. This is our Zuo family’s business card. Please contact us for any compensation if there are any damages.” A tall, sturdy woman rushed over, placing herself between Zuo Bian and the director, and shoved a business card into his hand.

Several tall men in black suits and sunglasses followed. They bowed in unison towards Zuo Bian: “Miss, let’s go back.” Zuo Bian looked at them blankly, still bewildered about the situation.

The voice in her head instructed: Agree with them for now. These are your bodyguards, here to protect you.

“Oh, okay.” Before leaving, Zuo Bian remembered to return the bag to the girl.

Watching Zuo Bian being led into the expensive black sedan, the film crew was completely baffled. What was going on?

The assistant director slapped his forehead. “Ah! I remember! I heard that a young miss surnamed Zuo recently came to the film city wanting to act. She usually sits quietly, like a little fairy. But… she’s a bit… you know…” The assistant director tapped his head, his eyes implying that they understood.

“Is she that intellectually disabled Miss Zuo?” The extra who was kicked by Zuo Bian rubbed his back painfully.

The director shook his head. “What a pity, such a beautiful face.”

Inside the car, Zuo Bian looked curiously at her surroundings. This black box clearly wasn’t infused with any spiritual energy, yet how could it move so fast?

And why did these people call her “Miss”? She was an orphan, taken in by her master at the age of seven.

She remembered…

Right, she was dead. During a mission, she was killed by the Demon Lord while protecting a child. But now she was alive.

Shi Miaozhu, the sturdy woman, spoke to Zuo Bian with a mixture of helplessness and concern. “Miss, please don’t sneak out again. It’s dangerous outside. Someone as innocent as you will definitely be deceived. Please let us stay by your side to protect you from those bad people.”

Zuo Bian tilted her head, looking at Shi Miaozhu with a serious expression. “I’m very capable, I won’t be bullied.”

The people in this world seemed to be ordinary mortals. Zuo Bian, a cultivator at the Core Formation stage, believed no one could possibly bully her.

However, Shi Miaozhu shook her head and sighed. “Miss, it’s different. Even though you’ve learned Sanda and boxing, you still need us by your side for Master and Madam to be at ease. If only Miss were a bit smarter, then…”

Realizing her slip of the tongue, Shi Miaozhu immediately stopped and apologized to Zuo Bian.

Although they all knew Zuo Bian wouldn’t understand, they tried to avoid using words like “not smart” or “intellectually disabled” in front of her.

【Listen to me, listen to me! I am System 555, and I have bound you to the… uh, Green Tea Bitch System. You need to cooperate with me, 555, to complete missions and correct the plot. Once the mission is completed, Host, you can regain your life!】

“Are you talking to me?” Zuo Bian asked Shi Miaozhu.

Shi Miaozhu, who hadn’t opened her mouth, was puzzled. “Miss, I didn’t say anything.”

Zuo Bian frowned in confusion. “But I heard someone talking to me. Green Tea Bitch, what is that?”

Shi Miaozhu covered her mouth, controlling her emotions. She spoke to Zuo Bian as gently as possible. “Miss, don’t worry about it. Green Tea Bitch is just a type of watch with a green tea leaf pattern.”

“What’s a watch?” Zuo Bian’s expression became even more bewildered.

Shi Miaozhu turned her face away with difficulty. “I’m sorry, Miss. I shouldn’t have said things you don’t understand.”

Soon, the car brought Zuo Bian to a manor. It took five or six minutes just to drive from the gate to the main building.

As soon as the car stopped, Shi Miaozhu opened the door for Zuo Bian. Zuo Bian saw a woman who resembled her rushing over and embracing her.

“My little Bian, you worried your mother to death!”

Zuo’s mother, Du Yundong, quickly released Zuo Bian and wiped away her tears, looking at her daughter’s face.

Zuo Bian looked at Du Yundong with a stranger’s eyes, filled with confusion. But Du Yundong wasn’t surprised at all. Her precious daughter had always been like this, unable to remember people, with almost zero life skills.

“Madam, I have something to tell you privately, it’s about Miss.”

Du Yundong instructed someone to take Zuo Bian back to her room to rest. As Zuo Bian followed the servant, her sharp ears overheard Shi Miaozhu’s conversation with Du Yundong. “Madam, Miss’s condition seems to be worse than before. She barged into another film crew’s set and disrupted their filming. Also, Miss somehow heard the term ‘Green Tea Bitch.’ Someone must have said something inappropriate to her while we were away.”

Du Yundong’s brows furrowed. “This incident must not happen again. Don’t let just anyone approach Miss. Even if she doesn’t understand, we can’t let her hear those unpleasant words.”

Du Yundong and Zuo Yan also hoped their daughter could live like a normal person. They were happy when someone was willing to befriend Zuo Bian.

However, there were always those with malicious intentions, pretending to be kind to Zuo Bian on the surface, but bullying and insulting her behind their backs. It was after such incidents that Zuo’s parents hired bodyguards to stay by Zuo Bian’s side, preventing her from getting hurt.

Zuo Bian was led to her room. She looked curiously at the furnishings, touching this and that.

“So beautiful.” Finally, Zuo Bian leaned against the window, gazing at the garden below.

【Host, Host, can you hear me?】

Zuo Bian looked around, but no one was there.

“Who’s talking to me? A ghost?” But she was a Core Formation cultivator, it was impossible for her not to see a ghost.

【I’m in your mind. I am System 555. To continue your life, Host, you have been bound to me.】

“I did die. Am I alive now because you helped me?”

【Yes, but life isn’t free. You need to cooperate with me to complete missions. Once the mission is successfully completed, you can completely possess this new life.】

Zuo Bian stroked her chin, pondering for a moment before saying, “I really want to continue living. I can feel that this isn’t my original body. The scar on the back of my hand is gone. Is this considered possession? Occupying someone else’s body. My master taught me that the path of cultivation is not only for longevity, but also for a clear conscience.”

555 feared that this stubborn host wouldn’t accept this body, so it quickly explained.

【This is your body, Host. You’ve felt it too, haven’t you? You’re a fool in this world. Because you’re missing two hun and three po (parts of the soul) in this world, you appear to be mentally deficient. Now that your soul has returned, you’re no longer a fool!】

Zuo Bian had overheard the conversation between her mother and the bodyguards. She felt that this mysterious entity calling itself 555 was probably telling the truth.

“Then what is the mission? I don’t want to die yet.”

【The mission is simple. You just need to play the role of a qualified Green Tea Bitch, seduce the female lead, and propel the plot forward.】

Zuo Bian sat cross-legged on the floor, resting her chin on her hand, and asked, “What exactly is a Green Tea Bitch? It doesn’t sound like a good term.”

【Ahem, don’t worry about these minor details. This is the Green Tea Handbook. Please familiarize yourself with it and recite it, then employ your tactics on the female lead! Go for it! I’m rooting for you!】

A thin green booklet appeared in front of Zuo Bian. She picked it up and flipped through its contents.

“Ah!”

【What’s wrong?】

“I don’t recognize the characters in this world.”

【Hmm… Let’s put aside memorizing the Green Tea quotes for now. Let me explain the plot to you, so you can complete the mission more easily.】

“Okay!” Zuo Bian sat up straight, looking attentive.

【The original plot goes like this: You are the Green Tea villainess in the novel, dedicated to driving a wedge between the male and female leads. As for what you did, it’s all written in the Green Tea Handbook. But because you’re missing two hun and three po in this world, the plot hasn’t progressed without your intervention.】

Zuo Bian was a little confused. She still didn’t understand what System 555 meant by “Green Tea.” It definitely wasn’t the kind you could drink.

“I kind of understand, but what does Green Tea mean?”

【To put it simply, when you see a couple, you cunningly approach one of them, flirt with her, and sabotage their relationship.】

Zuo Bian nodded, finally understanding. “But is it really okay to ruin other people’s relationships?”

【You don’t have to worry about that. The male and female leads in the novel aren’t together yet. You just focus on completing the mission.】

“But…” Zuo Bian still felt something was amiss.

If they’re not together yet, wouldn’t flirting with one of them be considered pursuing them? Of course, 555 wouldn’t tell Zuo Bian this.

It secretly wiped away nonexistent sweat, thinking that making up stories was really not easy.

It was foolish to bet with another system that it could complete the mission using this strange method. Fortunately, the host it bound to was very innocent and believed whatever it said.
